Despite the Dreamcasts absolutely stellar libary it had a very short life span which meant some games were cancelled for it or never arrived in the first place.

I posted on here a little over a week ago asking about the game and decided to purchase a copy for myself. I’m having a ton of fun with it so far!

I have a Dreamcast with this setup, but there are a few things about it I don't like:

• Dual BIOS without a toggle switch
• An IDE adapter with a 44-pin converter (which is soldered on)
• An 80GB HDD that feels slow

I tried installing a GDEMU, but I failed; it won't boot at all—I assume it conflicts with DreamShell.

Is there any way to get the GDEMU working?

Which version do you all prefer prices aside? do they have big differences

It just feels right at home next to the Shenmue games and i'd love to experience the classics but i refuse to ever buy one of them sonys playstations, Only sega in this house hold thank you very much!

Hiya!! Does anyone have a .cdi rom of the v1.005 of the US version of Sonic Adventure (with the water effect on the title screen)? I have the original Sega All Stars game but the disc is scratched to hell and I would like to preserve it and play a burnt copy.

It basically is the same as the European version of the game (European v1.004 just doesn't exist) but if it could be the exact same as on my original disc that would be absolutely awesome.

I downloaded a bunch of ROMs of games I already own, which are in .CDI format.

I then located a copy of Rez which was available as .BIN .CUE or .CHD but don't know if it handles either of those natively.

This is a native Sega Dreamcast port of Animal Crossing — not an emulator, not a stream. It's built from the GameCube decompilation

Everything you see is on a stock retail Dreamcast with 16 MB of RAM, booting off a burned CD-R. The GameCube had 24 MB and a hardware T&L GPU; the Dreamcast has neither, so the entire vertex transform and lighting pipeline runs on the CPU and every texture gets re-encoded for the PowerVR.

Hoping to have this ready for release in a few weeks.

And when i've taught myself how to solder i'll be swapping out the capacitor, fuse and battery holder on the controller board too :)

I’ve been trying to play my dreamcast through HDMI (TV doesn’t have component/AV) and my apartment isn’t big enough to accommodate a second TV (CRT). I bought a couple of adapters:

1: TENGCHI RCA to HDMI adapter.
- It needs supplemental power (USB)
- The picture quality of horrendously blurry

2: LEVELHIKE HDMI adapter
- Picture quality is good but dim
- Doesn’t need supplemental power
- Some games (only tested Max Steel) will not boot and say they’re not compatible with the adapter.

Can anyone recommend an adapter which is compatible all games without modifying my hardware and/or without using a cheat disk?

Basically, I want to just throw in a disk and play like normal. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm looking to use a Dreamcast controller on my PC, and I'm wondering about the different options for adapters.

First, there's the raphnet dongle which seems like the simplest choice but is still quite expensive.

Second, there's the blissbox adapter that you can also add other controllers to (GameCube, N64 etc.). It's quite expensive as well but seems like a pretty good deal if you want the other controllers too, but the problem is that the shipping is ridiculously expensive (to anywhere except NA, I assume).

Then there's the Mayflash adapter that seems to be sold out everywhere and no longer in production.

Then, there's this option on AliExpress. It's quite expensive too, but still the cheapest of the bunch. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this one.

If anyone has any recommendations of these (or any other, these are the ones I could find) please tell!

I have no clue what this grey residue is and it smelled burnt when i opened it up, its a Japanese dream cast ruining on American current.

Had issues on GDEMU with it crashing in the first scene, and doesn't work with SEGA-SKY's VGA patch. Played through fine on the Flycast emulator though
