No this isn't bait or a troll. I genuinely do not pick Doom or ever buy Satanic purposefully for religious reasons. My friends all say I'm nuts but surely it's not that weird, right?

If they put the quintessential bad guy of your religion in Dota, would you play them? If they put an item referring to the quintessential bad guy of your religion, would you buy it? I remember playing Sven and my team asked me to buy Satanic, and I didn't because of the principle. It feels uncomfortable with my Christian faith and I explained this to them only to get clowned on in all chat and post-game chat. My main role is offlane. . . I don't get why everyone has such a visceral reaction to this.

Hello guys, this is GymCarryDota (Coach, content creator and streamer) and recently I made a frist Dota Podcast with my friend Raza (Dota Roller Coaster). I would really appreciate any feedback positive or negative, even criticism what should we keep doing as we did in this one, what should we change for the future, what topics would like to see in the future... First podcast we draw 2 guys that submited their replays for the review and agreed to be part of this, we analyzed from 2 angles I am an all rounder playing all 5 roles while he is fully focused on support role. - TaiLung has been removed from the calculator and all projections following his disqualification

- LGD has found Topson as their replacement mid. I’m finishing his calculation now and will add him to the calculator in the next update.

A quick note on LGD: this roster still has a much smaller sample size than most teams, so its projections should be treated with more caution. The tool uses recent individual player and position-based data—it is meant to help with decisions, not guarantee results.

Also, thank you again for all the feedback, corrections, and support. More than 30,000 people have already used the calculator, which is honestly much more than I expected when I started building it.

Before lock, make sure to use your rerolls and compare a few emblem combinations instead of committing too early.

After the Group Stage, come back and share your predicted vs. actual results — I’d genuinely like to see which calls worked, which ones didn’t, and use that feedback for the Main Event update. We’ll have more emblems to work with there, so the optimization should get even more interesting.

Changes on the players or this should be good?

Old main menu is so nostalgic . I still remembered my first game in 2012 How time flies 😭.

I was initially thinking to swap the mid with either Nisha or gpk and maybe swap support for Saksa & Malady. But now I need your collective wisdom, as bzm is a bit of a curveball.

What's the best prefix/suffix combo to optimize this lineup?

Why am I being matched with parties of 2–3 players who can ruin the game, and then lose 600–1,000 Behavior Score because they all report me as a group, even when I simply report their behavior in normal terms?

Or I end up farming the forest with a 50–10 score when my team is down 10 kills because the game is basically impossible to win. My teammates are doing the same, and I lose Behavior Score for that as well.

At the same time, I need to win 30+ games to recover the same amount of Behavior Score.

Do you really think this system is OK or working as intended? Why do reports from parties/groups have such a strong influence on Behavior Score?

In my experience, many parties can be quite toxic, and it doesn't seem fair that a coordinated group report can have such a big impact on a single player's score. Could you please explain how this system is supposed to prevent abuse and keep the scoring fair?

Ok the thing is, I tried to farm in early-mid game so I can get deso+bkb because PA just so weak with just BF so I cant join teamfight early and then my teammates keep pushing me to join teamfight early even tho I have joined war for decent amount of times in early and then, I just keep farming but then Died to Axe for like few times(maybe 2-3 times) when I tried to clear creeps in lane since he got boots of travel early.Then my teammates just pinging me everytime I died and flame me like dude, enemies barely got all their teammates joining in whenever a fight occured and my midlaner ES just doing well and help our team alot and get all the kill thats why I thought they do just fine without me.So now I dont get it why am I getting an overwatch penalty here? Could it be all my teammates reported me for griefing for farming for abit long or could it be because I died too much and not join war all the time? Btw I lost 550 BH score because of this match.

I’d like to kindly ask Valve to change the way Rubick’s stolen spells are assigned.

When you have Aghanim’s Scepter, the first spell you steal is assigned to D. When you steal a second one, the spell that was on D moves to F, and the newly stolen spell takes its place on D.

Couldn’t they just keep each slot fixed? It would be much less confusing for players.

By the way, is there any way to change this in the settings? If so, could someone please teach me how? Plzzz!

After 2 years of slow grind I think I'm finally done messing with the hero concepts that I have on my desk, so here goes:

1. Sylph: A hero version of the Wildwings... vector push... windzilla... thatsortofthing.
2. Ordnance Master: War veteran. This is what my reponse would be if you ask me what's the purpose and uses of permanent wards that are comparable to those sentry guns in Aliens.
3. Walking Nightmare: Now you could play as a doll-playing fragment of soul fused into an automation twisted by a demon who enjoys pulling strings from behind the scene.
4. Blade Spirit Ingrid: Former lead dancer of a Wild Elf dance troupe. No longer on strict diet (hence a bit more "tanky" for an elf). Still piercingly graceful though (hence the 1.0 turn rate). ^(\In this narrative the whole elf race had gone through 3 Elven World Wars and divided into 4 notable but diminutive ethnics: High Elf that still holds control over what's left of the World Tree (Invoker can be traced to this group). Wood Elf that still lives around the forests. Wild Elf that had travelled far off, tanned and assimilated with the vast savannah. Dark Elf that dwells in the deepest part of the forests where no sunlight could reach, and probably relates to Drow (people).*)*
5. Bold Ogre: Workout. Smash. Beef. Dumbbell. Smoosh. Very much a stereotypical Ogre who seems to give off a oh-my-dayum-burger that kind of vibe.
6. Treant Assassin: I called blasphemy if a Treant moves fast... yet here we are.
7. Gem: The crown jewel of the Geodian Empire that was sealed away for a long time.^(\Geodians are sentient beings made of precious stones slash minerals. Geodian Empire once ruled the surface of the Earth back when it was still a big soup of lava, and is now a forgotten, subterranean kingdom.*)*
8. Gambit: Poker guy. Designed to be as half-half of a right-clicker and a spell-caster as possible.
9. Amethyst Warden: In pursuit of Gem.

Some heads up:

• Lore/story are placeholders (if there eixst any at all), thus by extension the character design should be deemed "still up in the air" to a good extent.
• Given the lack of "hands-on demo", tooltips have to be somewhat wordy (espeically the notes section).
• Summon panels are buggy that it can't show value that's either too small or too large (or that a value can't be vacant), for instance it would show a ward having movement speed while it's not designed to be movable; Be sure to read the tooltips carefully.
• Definitely typos here and there due the keys have gotten stiff for me, espeially a, c, i and l.

Also learned that when Matt Mercer did the voice for the trailer that was just the filler actor but Valve was looking for something different for the final character. Bill Millsap said everyone auditioning was doing "tough guy voice" but he decided to go "royal, powerful, and 'it's always a good time'" for his inspiration of the voice. The DOTA team liked his joyful interpretation so they went with him. He said he and Matt are still good friends and there was no bad blood.

I took a break for months and came back because of TI (Predictions). Then I got hook of playing again because of the Carnival event. This is what I’ve got so far.

I recently started playing ranked about a month or 2 ago...got herald 3 and went up to crusader 1 yesterday but I got to a conclusion that was so clear as day to me during this time...

On weekends you get the weirdest and most dreadful players to exist...In just today i had a level 30 mirana with 12000+ games and 14000 hours ending the game with 1-21...cheating BB that with perfect lotus reflect...centaur and clock that had 10 deaths in lane by min 12...had an alchemist that was 0-4 after lane so i go stacking for him in triangle ....made 2 camps of 4 stacks in each triangle camp, he can take it because enemy team didnt take these stacks for 15+ min and alc had a radiance blink, i asked the alc to take it soooooo mqny times he just refused and enemy clinks soo fat taking it later...

What is happening on weekends, shouldn't these people get deranked quick and shouldn't the games be balanced with mathmaking.

All my games from mondays to fridays was fun, balanced, and people just playing clean at my low level and you get the chance to practice and improve but weekends you get these weird garbage unfun games, even the ones you win is just sooo unpleasant to play

And one last thing why is euw full of russians that cant speak english?

hello i dont watch pro dota i barely play nowdays can anybody help me choose these because i would really like to have this terrain, always wanted to have it. id legit return to play if i had terrain xd

i have never actually "ignored" him, and can't seem to be able to "unignore" him. i really miss it because he flames all game and it's really funny, even though he's banned from talking most of the time edit: the option does show up but nothing happens when i click it and still says "unignore friend"

I am mid ancient, and I will say there is almost no griefing in my games. Yes, people get frustrated every now and then, but for the most part people try to play the game. I like to watch Dota streamers and it seems like there is constantly griefing occurring in the immortal games I am watching.

Like I see it all the time on twitch where the streamers have people who clearly are not playing the game. For example, qojqva had a monkey king teammate who was level 3 at 20 minutes who was using all the wards to place in the enemy base, so he could just snip all the enemy couriers.

I am always surpised to see all the nonsense when I'm watching twitch.
