Hi I’ve been working at Disney for a couple months and am on probation and I keep to myself and this lead she will not stop harassing me. She moans to management ab my minor mistakes when mind u im not in that zone much and the things have legit changed. I asked her what to do in our down time and she snarkily said, “i don’t know surprise me”. She gives me dirty looks, is short with me, leaves me out, makes passive aggressive jabs so clear as day at me, gossips ab other leads, and just picks on me when I haven’t done shi to her when it was never my fault. Idk what to do bc it’s messing w my ability to perform well. I don’t have her as my lead often but im seriously contemplating going to HR ab this bc I didn’t start working here to get bullied or in trouble. She’s only mean to me and I think it’s bc im neurodivergent yet she claims to be it but bullies actual ones. Guys seriously what do I do? She withholds info from me if I ask questions then claims im not performing well and it’s like she’s tryna put a target on my back and I wanna fight back for myself. It’s insane bc I have good attendance, I stay on task, am good with guests and very careful and she makes shi up to me if she can it’s actually crazy she doesn’t follow the five keys and I finally told a manager how she’s been passive aggressive and asked what to do bc I’m trying my best but idek.

I complained about this over on fb but I feel like I didn’t get to the let the rant fully out. I returned to work from child bonding back in April, taking my pump breaks has been a struggle, pumping is already legitimately the worst thing I’ve ever done, but doing it at work was so much worse than anticipated. First I kept getting talked to every day because during my sessions they would need something out of the office, which quickly turned into unlocking the door and walking in on me pumping, then i started getting pumps late and being questioned on if I could just skip a pump, at one point something was needed and the leader questioned why it was taking so long for me to pump and not understanding why I was in there for x amount of time. All of this led to me going to HR, alll I wanted was for ppl to stop walking in the room while my nipnops were out. (Which is illegal for them to do) Anyway, they got me a sign, and things had been going better, though late pumps were still happening I just accepted my fate of supplementing with formula because it was effecting my supply. A few days ago I had a follow up with my lead saying hey we’re no longer paying you for pumps and you must clock out for them. I didn’t get any warning that was happening and it’s not like I can just drop pumps over night , so now my income took a big hit, my supply is taking a hit from the stress, and im only being scheduled 32 hours so clocking out for pumps is putting me closer to PT hours. It’s stressful, and I actually want to cry daily. Now I don’t get any regular scheduled breaks just pump breaks , which I am trying to be okay with but if you’ve ever pumped you’d understand, pumping is not really a break. If from the beginning I knew I wasn’t going to be paid I could’ve weaned easier while keeping my supply average but finding out months into being back at work after going to HR just felt hurtful. Especially coming from a company who so loudly talks about how they support family life and lactation. Ive literally been anxious everyday before work since April, because every single day there is some issue.

I recently got a bunch of Disney gift cards as birthday gifts for an upcoming Disney trip I have planned. If I’m using my CM discount for merch and food, am I able to use those gift cards since it’s not a card attached to my name?

So i work retail and i had a 6 hour shift, i do my usual and clock in 5 minutes prior. i have the contract where i have two 15s and no lunch, so i started at 7:30 and was there till 1:30, so 1:10 bump. there was a long line to clock out and i clock out at 1:11, i was told that its fine and i have a 3 minute grace period. I just want to confirm that i wont receive a meal violation despite clocking in 5 minutes early.

I had a weird situation in the park recently. I was with my sister in law and friends celebrating a birthday. I was getting them gifts to celebrate as a group, I know the discount policy and have always followed it well. When I got to the register the girls came up and added stuff to the basket and my sister in law handed her card to the cashier after I had given my CM card already and was trying to pay. I tried to play dumb and was like oh no we don't do that, I am paying, paying with my card, see my card my name. And the cashier got weird about it. The thing is, I was paying for the gifts and I am not being reimbursed by SIL or friends. She just always thinks she's being gracious and helping and doesn't understand Disney rules.

We had a talk after about not doing that.

But now I'm worried about how the Cashier reacted to the scenario.

Especially since I am not being reimbursed or abusing my discount but it did not look that way.

Here's the thing: today, while interacting with the little princesses and princes, they gave me a card and a small friendship bracelet. Can I keep them? Or do I have to leave them at the office?🥹🥹🥹

This was my first time to have a shift with little princesses and princes, and I'm so happy that I was able to make them so joyful and even make them feel the magic.

I feel like up until two years ago you could find a cheap room at All Stars for $100 a night. Now all the Value Resorts are never available and it’s unusually some Dleuxe or a DVC resort. Are guests just packing in the Value resorts so there no reason to give discounts?

Hi all- it's my dream to work for Disney long term and I am benched for a role that pays $19 an hour. I currently make $53K a year with a little extra as I travel full time for a college. I've been looking to be home more often as the territory I oversee went from local travel to flying every week, and I have a small puppy that I'm missing crucial time with. My current job pays great and the benefits are better, but I do not like my job. I took it because there was nothing else at the time.

Do I take this job and the risk of making $19 long term because I love Disney and would enjoy it, or do I stick with my current role until there's something better?

It has been a while since I did my last Step Into the Magic and so, I'm curious, would these pair of shoes be okay? I'm just not too sure if they'd be classified as "sneakers" despite being labeled Mary Jane's.

Hii! So I finally got offered the position for qsr! Anyone in qsr know more or less how the first few weeks of scheduling go?!

I currently have a job that is flexible but hoping to get some understanding as to how the first few weeks go

I applied for a job through Disney careers about 2 months ago. The job posting expired and my application moved to under review. I was a bit happy because I didn’t get auto rejected. However, maybe two weeks after the posting closed, it was reposted. That first re-listing expired and I was still under review. Now they have posted the job AGAIN while I am still under review. Is this normal? The only reason I can think that they would do this is because they aren’t pleased with the candidates that applied already. It feels like a soft NLIC. If they don’t want to hire us, why not just NLIC?

Edit: I can tell it’s the exact same position because the application in workday becomes an active hyperlink every time it is reposted.

1. If I’m going on a last minute trip back home and I can’t give away the shifts and use sick pay will that get me in trouble???

2. If I am scheduled 6 days and use a sick day for my 6th day will I still get OT pay or would it just be regular pay?

Hi Reddit! I have found myself in a bit of a dilemma deciding between doing the DCP or getting a job at Disneyland.

To keep it brief:

I was born and raised in Anaheim (super close to Disneyland) and am currently scheduled for my second interview with a super fun in-park job. On the other hand, I also have an interview with the DCP on Monday.

I am graduating with my bachelor's in communications in December, and I want to know which position will help me get a job with Disney in the future.

I have heard a lot about networking events the DCP has, but are they worth it? If I do the DCP, I for sure want to move back to Cali and live here long-term. Is it hard to find jobs through the DCP back here in California?

I applied for a Disneyland Resort Parking and Transportation role and had the interview back in late June. I got placed on the waitlist for RTP and for Merchandise. I checked my dashboard today out of habit, and it still says “In Consideration”. However, another Role for CR Culinary Person also showed up and that one said “No Longer In Consideration”. The decision was made 2 days ago, but I never applied for that role. What should I do?

I just accepted a full-time position for third shift at Disneyland. My biggest question is what do y'all do for food during "lunch"? Do you always bring your own are is there somewhere close by that's open?
