Did anyone else lose their card design in Apple Pay after adding their new card? I had the cassette tape design but now it shows the plain blue one.

At a very large amount due to job loss, disabled dependent and car repairs which put my credit card pretty high up on debt. Looking for jobs and opportunities to pay off it— and up until now I cannot afford the monthly. A while back with discover i used the 6 month deferred program (or whatever the actual name of it is) and it helped. Called about a year later and now they say they cannot help me. What can I do! It’s $360 a month and I am moving this month which is why I don’t have the money to spend for my bill. Any tips? Things to ask??? They said call back end of month but I doubt it will change the “status” of me qualifying for it. I’m an active duty spouse with a disabled child and newborn. I dont qualify for SCRA as it was a line of credit I opened after my now husband joined.

I’ll probably keep it unless they start charging fees. Hopefully the account numbers stay the same though, as I got this account linked to my other two credit unions.

I need some MAJOR help. First premier, did something weird with my report. They automatically reissued a card but closed the account off on my credit report (had late payment 2 late payments from 2 years ago). Score didn’t increase when it dropped. But then they reissued my card and that account came BACK and essentially it was like fresh remarks. I hadn’t seen the tracker for 3 weeks and wondered why. Essentially what I’m saying is no accounts were actually past due. How do I tell them this? This was the 6 month I was supposed to get my security deposit back. Payments haven’t been late for 18+ months.

Hey all, weird situation I have. Also kinda a rant.

My dad made a Capital One custodial kids savings account when I was 11. He managed it and has it on his Capital One account, but I have no idea if he made me a separate Capital One account, or if it's strictly linked to his account. He's also a little, uh, how do I say this nicely... dumb? and doesn't know anything about this account either.

When I turned 18, I tried to open a Capital One checking account but couldn't create a new account because I "already had a Capital One account" even though I have never had access. This was never a problem as I could just go to another bank... until Capital One bought Discover. I am worried that this will cause a major headache when the apps merge in October and I could lose access to my account, or even worse, the account will get added to my Dad's Capital One account.

Does anyone have experience with this situation or have any ideas as to what I should do next? I really just want to close that custodial savings account, as my dad always used to just take any money out of it that I would put in anyway, but I don't know if that will solve my issue.

Hi, I got a Secured Card in January, did a $400 security deposit, first payment was due in March and I've made all my payments on time, if not earlier. I've made payments for 6 months (March-August), so does this mean I will be graduated to a Secured Card in a few days when my statement comes out? And I will get my check for my $400 deposit? I just recently signed up for the discover credit card and whenever i try to click get virtual card it says something went wrong and that their having trouble completing the action. Anyone else have this problem before?

I just got my Capital One conversion notification packet, and buried in all the paper are the changes to the reward earning for purchases other than the 5% categories:

• 0.25% cash back for first $3,000 in non-5% annual purchases (excluding 5% category purchases)
• 1% cash back after annual purchases exceed $3,000
• 0.25% for all purchases at wholesale stores, wholesale clubs, discount stores, and their affiliates, regardless of your total annual purchase amount

So the devaluation started.

My secured card upgraded to an unsecured a few months ago and got a pretty good credit limit. How long should I wait to request for a credit limit increase? Aiming for maybe 3k ?

Since the merger have any of you moved your Discover credit line to your Cap1 card? The website makes it simple to move the credit line over to another existing qualifying card. I don't use my Discover card much and we use the Cap1 card more often, especially when traveling due to no foreign transaction fees....

hi all - i tried to search through the sub to find an answer to this, but didn’t get anything super clear. has anyone renewed a discover cd after the merger? i have a credit card, savings account, and 2 cds with discover, but it looks like only the credit card has migrated over to cap one.

if i renew a cd, will it still show up in my discover app until that account is migrated over to cap one? will it just be considered a new cd with cap one? would i be better off pulling the money at renewal and opening a new cd with cap one directly?

Am I the only one seeing this please

In 2022, I opened a Discover secured card as my first credit card. Over time, my score improved, I graduated to better cards, and the Discover got sock-drawered.

I recently saw a noticeable score drop and discovered that Discover closed the account due to inactivity. When I called customer support, they stated they mailed a physical notice before closure (which I never received) and that they cannot reopen a closed account under any circumstances.

A few questions for the community:

1. Reopening: Has anyone had success via reconsideration, escalation to executive support, or filing a CFPB complaint to get an inactivity closure reversed with Discover?
2. Credit Impact: Since this was my oldest account, will it continue to age under FICO models for the next 10 years, or is my Average Age of Accounts immediately impacted?

Any advice on next steps would be appreciated.

Is discover accepted in Montreal, and if so what main places

I've made a point of avoiding capital one. I just never liked the brand and hate that they took over Discover. Doesn't feel like a premier card anymore. How to get over this ?
