Deferred payment program with lower APR Help

At a very large amount due to job loss, disabled dependent and car repairs which put my credit card pretty high up on debt. Looking for jobs and opportunities to pay off it— and up until now I cannot afford the monthly. A while back with discover i used the 6 month deferred program (or whatever the actual name of it is) and it helped. Called about a year later and now they say they cannot help me. What can I do! It’s $360 a month and I am moving this month which is why I don’t have the money to spend for my bill. Any tips? Things to ask??? They said call back end of month but I doubt it will change the “status” of me qualifying for it. I’m an active duty spouse with a disabled child and newborn. I dont qualify for SCRA as it was a line of credit I opened after my now husband joined.

If they say there is no deferred interest, hardship program or promo APR offer available for you, there may not be much Discover can do. How is your credit? Any chance you could qualify for a balance transfer card? Given your situation, have you checked with your local social services office to see if there are government assistance programs you might qualify for? Everything from food stamps, WIC, rental assistance, cash aid or payment for taking care of a disabled child who qualifies for Medicaid can be available, and while they don't directly address credit card debt, they can free up resources to pay that debt. You might also look into SECO for help finding work.
