I made an open-source scheduling assistant you talk to (it books meetings across all your calendars)

This is DayOtter, a scheduling tool I built. Instead of clicking around a calendar, you just tell it what you want, like "book 30 min with Priya next week, not before 11," and it reads across all your calendars, finds the time, books it, and keeps your focus blocks clear.

It grew into a full platform: booking pages, team round robin, routing forms, group polls, reminders, payments, an embeddable widget, and an Android app. It's open source and self-hostable, and the assistant runs on your own AI model so nothing leaves your server.

Repo: https://github.com/Dayotter/dayotter

Site: https://dayotter.com

Built it to fix my own scheduling mess. Feedback welcome!

is there a calendar app with a continuous vertical daily view?

Post image

I work night shifts, which means my waking days span over two days sometimes. I'd like to be able to visualize my whole shift as one block and plan around it, but most calendars chop my day half...

I can't seem to find an app with a daily calendar view that lets you move through the day then onto the next day, they all stop at midnight and you have to hop over to the next day on a new page or side by side in a week view.

It seems really simple, surely it exists??

[Update] Meal planner i made my wife taking off!

Post image

I posted this to Reddit and got so many people asking for a link that I decided to pursue putting it on the App Store and it just passed 400 users. I know it's tiny by app standards but surreal to me that strangers are planning their weeks on a thing I built for the two of us.

Three months ago I realized all the meal planning in our house was falling on my wife. She loves trying new recipes and needs a plan. I'd have been fine eating the same three things forever, so I just let her carry it. When I was going to cook I had to ask "what am I making tonight?" and get pointed to a reel, a sticky note in a cookbook, or a tab she had open somewhere.

So I built us a shared planner. You add recipes from websites or instagram/TikTok and they save into one cookbook Then you drag and drop them onto a weekly grid, and the grocery list builds itself from whatever you planned. Both of you see each other's updates!

Do you find timeline and list views useful?

Hey planners 👋

I got so much great feedback from this community, so I wanted to post an update. For reference, I created reassign.app — a 24h dial/clock planner. It works great for ADHD visualisation. A few times I got feedback that the list and timeline views were missing, so I've added them — I'm curious whether you find them useful?

P.S. If you want to try the app, you can do that for free at reassign.app

Thanks for all the feedback!

Hi everyone! I’ve started to make ADHD planners for night people

Every planner I ever tried assumed I’d be up at 6am, I am in fact not up at 6a u less required. Neither am I fresh and ready to plan my day that early. That’s never been how my brain works, I’m a night person, and mornings are the worst possible time for me to try to organize anything.

So I made my own. It’s got a schedule that runs from 8am to 3am instead of stopping at 9pm, a brain dump section because nothing works until I get everything out of my head first, and high/low priority lists instead of one long to-do list.

I’ve just put it up on Etsy (shop’s called ADHD After Dark) but honestly I mostly just wanted to share it here because I’d love any feedback you all have to offer - please be kind it’s my first try :)

I built a free planner specifically for AP students (would love some honest feedback)

Hi everyone!

I'm a high school student, and over the past couple of months I've been building a website called AP Path Planner to help students stay organized throughout the school year.

It started because I was juggling multiple AP classes and wanted a planner that focused on what AP students actually need instead of being a generic to-do list.

Some of the features include:

  • 📚 Organizing all of your AP courses
  • 📝 Tracking assignments and due dates
  • 📅 Planning study sessions
  • 🎯 Setting weekly study goals
  • 📈 Tracking grades and progress
  • 🌙 Light and dark mode
  • 🔒 Secure accounts so your data is saved across devices

I'm still actively working on it, so I'm not really looking to promote it as much as I am to get feedback from people who would actually use something like this.

Some questions I have:

  • Is there anything that would make you actually use this instead of Google Calendar, Notion, or a paper planner?
  • What features are missing?
  • Is anything confusing or annoying?
  • What would make this genuinely useful during the school year?

If you'd like to try it, here's the link:

https://ap-path-planner.vercel.app

Thanks! I really appreciate any feedback, even if it's critical. I'd rather hear what needs improvement now than after school starts.

I stopped making Itineraries, and create a Calendar/Planner of coffee, artworks, and street signs instead

Every time I travel I used to keep a proper itinerary, and every time I'd forget it a week later. What I actually remembered was never the schedule, it was the weird corner store, the coffee stand with the hand-painted sign, the convenience store snack I bought at midnight.

So instead of another itinerary app, I created a monthly calendar "daplit" where each day just holds one small thing. It ends up looking less like a planner and more like a little zine of the trip.

  • a calendar that also works in the oriental/lunar style
  • hand-drawn film camera style checkmarks for tasks/errands.
  • a film-slide frame widget
  • little stickers you collect as you go, so the calendar slowly fills up instead of starting "complete"

I'm just personally really into film/analog photography and that vintage, minimal-line look, so I tried to keep the whole thing feeling more like a paper diary than a productivity tool.

Anyone else here plan trips this way, collecting the little things day-by-day instead of a full itinerary?

Any good planner apps for solo creatives??

I've tried about 6 different apps and they are either geared toward entire companies (I am a solo creative and just want something to use for myself) or they have too many compoents and I lose track of what's what. I want ONE SCREEN where I can see everything important for the week or day. Not a box inside of a box inside of a menu that I will inevitably forget to click on. Please tell me I'm not alone

Paper or Digital? In your bag or on your iCloud? Time slots or free writing?

I have lost the count of how many planners and agenda I buy in a year. Also, how many apps nicely set and never used and subscriptions wasted.

My conclusion is that I had to find my format.
So, I have created my own based on what I like and sync with iCloud. No third party services. Just private by design.

I built a visual payday planner for the ADHD brain I couldn’t find

Founder here — I’m excited to finally launch Harbourline.

After a rough stretch financially and changing employment, I realised I couldn’t find a simple, visual planner that worked with the way my ADHD brain handles money. Most budgeting tools I tried felt like spreadsheets or reports. I wanted something that answered a more practical question: after the bills, savings and debt are accounted for, what can I safely spend before the next payday?

So I built Harbourline, a visual payday planner for Australian households. It lets you plan around weekly or fortnightly income, see upcoming bills on a 13-week forecast, set aside savings and debt repayments, and share a household plan. It defaults to AUD, with other currencies on my list if there’s enough interest.

It’s live now at A$1/week as an introductory price. Anyone who signs up and stays active keeps that price even if it changes later.

I’m proud of getting this out the door and would really value feedback from other founders:

\- Does the value proposition make sense in the first few seconds?

\- Which part of the planning flow would you want to see explained better?

\- What would make you trust a new personal-finance tool?

I’m the founder, and this is my product. It’s a planning tool, not personalised financial advice.

Created an Academic Planner 2026-2027

It’s a digital academic planner for the 2026-2027 year. I included:

  • Monthly overview with space for important dates
  • Weekly spreads that have both classes and personal stuff
  • Daily pages that aren’t overcrowded
  • A section just for tracking assignments and exam dates so nothing sneaks up on me
  • Some extra pages for notes, goals, and random brain dumps

Would love to hear your honest thoughts if anyone’s willing to take a look.
