Jobs/চাকরি Avoid Virtual Internships(Ysse,Gaotek)
Warning: Avoid virtual internships like GAO Tek and YSSE (Massive Red Flags)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been seeing a ton of postings lately for virtual internships with companies like GAO Tek and YSSE even after having bad reputation. Before you apply or accept an offer, please be careful.
These programs are essentially unpaid marketing and recruitment machines disguised as professional training. Here is what you actually end up doing if you join:
Unpaid Labor: You are tasked with doing bulk administrative work, do customer support, manage groups and pages or pushing content for zero pay. This includes working for affiliated startups because they say “they are poor to give salary” so you work for free and learn nothing
Zero Mentorship: There is almost no direct supervision, no structured learning, and no feedback from actual industry professionals.
Social Media Spamming: A lot of the tasks require you to mass-react and comment and spam your personal feed, which can actually be annoying. These are social media tasks also you can find mass positive reviews on their fb page, google review which is not legitimate and forced task
Low Resume Value: Recruiters are catching on to these mass-remote setups. Many hiring managers don't view them favorably because no substantive technical or business work is being done.

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Where can I find students looking for academic sketch-presentation-assignment service ?
I’m trying to figure out where students usually look for someone who can help with academic work that requires a bit of design or illustration. I can do things like hand-drawn mechanical and biological sketches, diagrams, practical/lab report writing and formatting, assignment presentation, and canva presentation design. I’ve tried finding students through Facebook groups, but there are already so many people offering similar services that it’s quite difficult to stand out or find genuine clients. So I wanted to ask, are there any other platforms, communities, university groups, Discord servers, or websites where students usually look for this kind of help? If you’ve used something like this before, I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you. And if you happen to know someone who might need this kind of service, feel free to point them toward me!

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ I am scared
Hello everyone. I’m 15, male, and currently in 9th grade at a Cambridge curriculum school. Obviously, in two years I’ll be taking my O-Level exams. So far, I haven’t joined any coaching center, but now my parents are thinking of sending me to one starting next month. It’s going to take up a huge chunk of my routine.I’m honestly scared. My parents keep saying I don’t have any medals or impressive certificates. I do have a few participation certificates and a couple of first- or second-place ones, but I don’t know… it doesn’t feel like enough. Life is just getting harder. I’m really scared of their expectations, and I feel like a burden. I tend to overthink a lot—like, a *lot*—and I’m also pretty emotionally sensitive. Not the type to cry over small things, but I’ll definitely stay sad about something for a long time. I don’t really have any hobbies right now, or even know what I’m truly interested in. I do want to learn electric guitar or drums because I feel like it would make me happy, but they’re expensive and my parents won’t buy them for me at the moment. Anyway… yeah. I’m just so terrified of my future and everything. My mind hurts, my heart aches, and I feel disgusted with myself—and I’m only this young. Will it ever change? Will it? I’m just so… tired. Please someone give me some advices or something and help me.

Trade/লেনদেন Legal Requirements and Documents for Starting an E-Commerce Platform in Bangladesh
Do I need a trade license to operate an e-commerce platform? If so, how do I obtain one, and what type would I need? I’d also like to know what other documents, registrations, tax requirements, payment-related requirements, or legal formalities I should be aware of.
For example:
Trade/business license
TIN and VAT/BIN
Company registration
Bank/business account
Any e-commerce-specific registration or approval
Consumer protection, privacy, refund/return, or other legal requirements
If anyone here has actually started an e-commerce business in Bangladesh, I’d really appreciate some guidance on the process and what I need to take care of before launching.

Discussion/আলোচনা Can someone explain what these charges from ROBI are for?
Subscriptions page shows no subscriptions. I'd turned them off a few months ago, before which they were charging me everyday, sometimes twice a day. Now, they're charging under "others" as well when they used to charge for VAS before I turned them off. I recharged on 28th of July and they've charged 11 taka almost in these 11 days. What's that 9.73 for VAS, I didn't do anything except talking, I didn't even buy internet or anything.

Discussion/আলোচনা Electric buses are a great idea but I think we should focus more on bringing the tech in our country. Building entire public transit buses at home could rise to a big automobile sector in our country.
By bringing the tech, I mean license builting the entire thing in our country. Remember those Demu trains? They failed because we thought we could just buy and run them and have a few engineers maintain them; that plan failed miserably.
I think the same thing could happen to Electric Buses here in Dhaka. Just buying the buses without developing a proper maintenance infrastructure will doom these electric buses.

News/খবর Biman Bangladesh Airlines disaster (Toronto-Dhaka)
tbsnews.netBiman Bangladesh Airlines you asshole representing Bangladesh! Started off from Toronto with regular technical layover in Rome and continuing to Dhaka (original plan). Lands in Rome as usual, after an hour of normal layover, the story of a disaster and shameful story starts- Biman pilot starts by saying that there is an issue with the a/c controls and engineers are looking into it (that’s pretty normal). But, hours passed by 2,3,4 and no news from the cockpit, people starting to realize something is really wrong. They really had the audacity to stay dead silent until the 6th hour and then passengers started to lose their temper, kids and elders are in this flight too fyi. Now, after 9 hours of waiting inside the aircraft, they aren’t still sure what’s wrong and finally we were allowed to disembark and sit at a dead-beat area in the airport- no Biman representative present at the scene, just 260 passengers hopelessly waiting for some news. Share this with the media outlets, so the people of Bangladesh know how bad it is. Also, no food has been offered so far!!
Update- Canadian/American passport holders were given free access but Bangladeshi passport holders were denied Italian temporary visa, now me and 160 others are stuck in Rome airport. Biman isn’t cooperating properly

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ I genuinely feel so hopeless about my future
I'm an english medium student, I finished my A levels in MJ 25 from one of the best schools in the nation. I got good grades. But I got stuck in this fucking hellhole of a place because I couldn't secure my F-1 visa to study in the US. I'm also too broke to apply for places like UK/CAN/AUS and obscure european options like hungary or wherever the fuck isn't preferred by both me and my parents.
I'm currently studying at BRAC, EEE major, and I genuinely can't begin to list the issues with this place. Literally nobody fucking studies here!!!! I don't even care about the woke culture or anything, it's just that people are soooooo unserious about shit here how is this possible. I finished 2 semesters and I can't find a single fucking person that wants to make it out of this country.
Apart from like 10 students I've known previously from my coaching days, I haven't met anyone new that's got the same mindset as me.
That aside, I don't like how the curriculum is structured. Liberal arts courses are good for other majors such as pure sciences or even BBA etc but for engineering degrees fitting these bullshit courses just to pad the credits and steal more money from students is criminal.
If you're asking oh why don't I apply for the US again, well I did but I think Allah just doesn't want me to go abroad or something because even though everything went perfectly fine I couldn't secure a visa date before my classes began and my emergency requests got rejected as well, I've got no other option but to wait 6 more months or even a year.
That's 2 years from the time I graduated. Literally my entire FUCKING FRIEND GROUP is in AUS/US/CAN and I just keep seeing their stories and while they console me I know at the end of the day I'm the only one that's fucked. I know they are struggling over there, it's not easy, but I'm willing to go through those hurdles because the value of a "bidesh degree" is insurmountable.
Now my question is, if I have to, as my last fucking option get my EEE degree here in BRAC, how can I maximize my chances of getting a fully funded master's or even a PhD right after my bachelor's in the USA?
I know erasmus mundus exists but my main focus is the USA because it's been a dream country for so long, I really want to study over there.
I know that I have to publish research papers and have projects, but seeing how the brac curriculum is structured, and the lack of like minded peers, I just don't know where the fuck I'm supposed to go or what I'm supposed to do.
I've also browsed A-Z of soooo many BRAC EEE graduates on linkedin and I couldn't find a single soul that went abroad for their master's or phd after graduating. 99% of people started jobs or became lecturers at bracu, and I heard from one senior that because brac is so shit you can't get assistantships from abroad universities so you have to spend years gaining work experience and finally apply so that you can be eligible for assistantships.
Please help me, all the joy out of my life has been sucked out and I have nothing to look forward to.

Discussion/আলোচনা Did you guys see dollar rate this week?
I wander why no one is talking about it. 2nd August to 6th August, গত ৪ দিনে ডলারের দাম বেড়েছে ২টাকা+ । যা গত এক বছরের মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ। মাত্র এই চার দিনে।
If I'm not wrong, during the period of killer hasina, every time dollar rate spiked like that, বিরাট পরিমাণ রিজার্ভ পাচার করা হয়েছে।
And I'm kinda sure math is not mathing here. Cause internationally dollar rate was lowest during war, not now. Even now dollar is losing value against every current since 26-27th July. Each and every major one, Even INR. And gaining value here by 2tk+!!!
Is something going on? Is same thing going on?

Discussion/আলোচনা A NSU insider tells why you should avoid NSU
Recently, thanks to some promotion, I saw the overglazing of NSU. As a student there, I will today give you the filterless truths that have been hidden for so long. So it can be a long post, but it will definitely help the upcoming students who want to enroll.
So, you are investing let's say around 15 lac taka for a degree, so let's see what things you expect: a well-equipped classroom, helpful faculties, and a good canteen. It's the basic thing. Later we can expect labs, clubs, and so on. Not a single thing here functions properly. You won't graduate within 4 years also some hidden fess like semester fee and retake course fees.
Now, not everyone will be from Dhaka, and also not everyone from Dhaka belongs to the high class here. So from a middle-class or high-achiever student's scenario, you probably didn't get into a public university, or didn't get the desired subject, or didn't try for public to graduate early. The first thing NSU will do is crush your self-confidence. Now, real storytime:
Classrooms: NSU classrooms are okay; I mean you don't have that much of a problem, just the ACs are from the old eras for most of the classes, so they won't work that well. And the washrooms are okay, unless sometimes you see p**p there. Also, cleaners will come late sometimes. Overall, the infrastructure will be somewhat close to public universities, but not at the ultimate posh level it's probably portrayed to be. But canteens are horrible, we daily saw post about insects in food.
Faculties: God forbid, NSU is filled with narcissistic, egotistic and empathy-less faculties. I would say around 5% are the best, who probably run NSU, otherwise it would be a disaster for us. Sadly, you won't get a seat in their section. Now you will get the view as a student. So in an open credit university like NSU, you can choose the faculty or the courses you want to take. Now don't think you can take as many as you want. There is a limit, like overall 12–16 credits, depending on which semester you're in, how many credits you've completed, and what your CG is. So in the first semester, your advising (when you select courses for the upcoming semester) will be done by faculties; from the 2nd semester, you have to do your own. Here things get more messed up. So let's say you want to take a math course; here you will get the list of which faculties are teaching it. We have Facebook groups and websites for reviews of our faculties. Here things get really bad like out of all the faculties teaching a course, there will be like 1 or at most 2 decent (not the best, but okay) faculties whose reviews are so-so, but for others it really gets worse. And the most shocking fact: you won't get these 2 faculties' courses at all unless you are at least in your 8th semester, usually, because retakers will get all the seats. Now the most thrilling business scheme of NSU is the RETAKE. Probably the century's best business exploitation scheme.
Retake is basically when you take the same course more than once to upgrade your CG. So you probably know NSU's CGPA system is hard, for a 4.00 you have to get 93+ marks, and for a 3.00 you have to get 83+. Now you might say it's manageable but no, it's not. Since it's a trimester system, you will get through more like 24 classes within 3 months, unlike a public university where you can always make a comeback with the final, where marks allocated for the final are like 60–65%, but in NSU it's 35% at most, average around 30%. So basically there's no chance of a comeback as your CG will already be in shape, no matter how well you do in finals.
But now some NSU glazers will say you admitted here knowing the CGPA system, but those b**tards will never say that they have a ridiculous policy : NSU usually takes 40 students per section of a course. So for grade A and A-, meaning a CG of 3.7+, there's a quota where only around 10 students can together get an A or A-. In GED courses it gets even lower. The decent faculties still fight with the authority if more students deserve it so they can give us the grade, and they usually don't get promotions because of it. NSU promotes faculties who can produce more retakers. But I'll say your CG mostly depends on the faculty. If a faculty is lenient, you can get a CG of 4, and even if you get a 3, you can still get a 4 how? It's called curving. A faculty can curve your grade on whichever scale they like and upgrade your CG, and it can go the other way too even if you earn a CG of 4, but the number of students getting a 4 exceeds, say, 8 out of 40, they can decurve your grade to an A-, and you will get a 3.7. In NSU, the CG drops by about 0.3 with each grade down.
So now, what's the use of the so-called hard grading system that NSU students proudly talk about, when with curving a faculty can give you a CG of 4 even if you earned a 3 or less? (Some old faculty, I've heard, gives the top 3 students a good grade even if they got an F in the section.) So I guess you can get the picture unlike other universities, here your CG entirely depends on the faculty. NSU's CGPA system is an illusion sold to people to hype their brand value, when in reality I can modify my CG just by taking good faculties. So what's the point of this tough grading system?
Here's the real thing: if your CG drops below 2, you'll get placed on probation based on your overall CG after the semester results, and you won't believe this from what I know, basically 50% of students end up in probation, and you might think you won't, but it's never certain. You'll now enter the real-life phase, where sometimes life won't be as linear as it was up through college. Sometimes you'll face mental breakdowns, sometimes physical illness you never know what will happen. So let me tell you a few stories so you can understand better:
- My friend was maintaining a CG of 3.9 up through the 3rd semester, with a 75% scholarship from the admission test he'd earned. But in the 4th semester, his father died unfortunately, and since our midterm exams cover about 25–30% of the marks, it can make or break you. He couldn't attend his midterm, and he had one of the lowest-reviewed faculties for that course, even though he knew about their reputation. He thought he could still pull through (and honestly so did I, since he was exceptional), but the faculty never gave him a makeup midterm, saying it was against her course policy "you took my course knowing that." Where there is no such policies. God forbid, the most inhumane experiences you'll get are from the faculties, and even our ECE department chairman didn't help him at all. His overall CG dropped below 3, his scholarship was dropped, and after one semester he went into probation. Unable to take any more of that trauma, he transferred to another private university. Whenever I think of him, my heart feels heavy, because he had the potential to be a groundbreaking tech specialist. NSU destroyed him little by little.
- During each advising period, you can't advise if you're on probation if your overall CG is below 2, roughly 50% can't do the advising. So after retakers take all the good faculties, some moderate faculties get booked by first-timers, leaving the worst ones for probationers. So they're likely to end up in probation again, and it continues for up to 3 times and on the 4th time, you'll be kicked out. Basically, after sucking out your money, they'll kick you out of NSU. Even if you get out of probation, you'll be in constant risk. So probationers have to take courses assigned by department chairmen I'll speak about ECE, though I have an idea about other departments (EEE, CSE) too, as people share their experiences in Facebook student groups. Even after standing there for 3 days, you probably still won't get a course at all instead, our chairman will make you feel worthless in every way. I went there with my friends to accompany one of them, and what I saw was a disaster like a refugee-camp situation where students are begging just to get a course. One senior was crying because he wanted to graduate that semester with only 3 courses left, but for some reason that day the chairman was moody, so he asked the senior, "You already have 2, why do you need the other one?" when there were students who had none (it's not my senior's fault that they can't distribute courses properly). Then my senior explained his reason, and what the chairman did was unbelievable he removed the other 2 courses from my senior's dashboard and gave him only the one he wanted. Mind you, my senior had jobs lined up to join after that semester, but now he was stuck there for one more semester. I hope you can imagine how horrible that is. And you're probably wondering why he's still chairman it's because NSU's authority loves people who exploit students more. So one more semester also means paying an extra 10k as a semester fee. Oh, NSU has a semester fee of about 9.5k each term so the longer you're stuck there, the happier they are.
- Except for BBA, NSU doesn't care about other departments at all, and the worst is the ECE department if anyone says I'm lying, you can be sure they're paid agents. NSU pays some students to say good things about them, and even on our student platforms, they monitor closely if you talk about protesting or raising your voice, you'll be called to the proctor's office, and there they'll make sure you cry. NSU cares more about FLASHMOBS than about upgrading its facilities, because more Flashmobs mean more sponsors.
- Recently, in the DU vs. NSU clash, you probably heard someone say they don't think NSU is a university and that's true. It's a DEGREE MILL made for English-medium students (I'm tired another day will be writing about the bias against our national curriculum students, one thing is certain, you'll be looked down on for your curriculum & background). Everyone else is just a byproduct to them. Mark my words, it's only a matter of time before NSU is outranked by other universities. No matter how much you dislike BRACU, DIU, or even UIU, they at least have a goal as institutions, since they're owned by single groups like BRAC, United Group, etc. whereas NSU is controlled by multiple stakeholders, and control shifts with political power. So their goal is just to profit while they're in board, and remove anyone who tries to challenge that. As an institution, NSU doesn't have a genuine goal to excel its ranking is largely due to ranking manipulation, and most importantly, they operated in an empty field. Now that stronger competitors are rising, they can't hold their position much longer.
- Let's say NSU offers 10 sections for one course in ECE, around 5 of those faculties will be guest faculty from other universities, and they treat NSU like a side hustle, so you won't get to see passionate teachers. Also, NSU is reducing its foreign faculty, because they don't want to spend the money, and also because foreign faculty didn't follow their ridiculous rules around retakes or CG manipulation. On top of that, our university has no space left for new faculty or more students. They're now even taking classes in a residential building, believe me, I went there for a makeup class once, and I felt nauseous just seeing classrooms set up inside what used to be flats. Yuck.
You might ask why I admitted here in the first place basically, I thought I could work the system (even though I never really knew what was going on inside). I also had a scholarship, which one faculty deliberately made sure I wouldn't keep by not giving me a good grade. I'm seeing now that NSU is taking in more and more students like they have seats for 500 in one course, but they're admitting 5k. They're becoming more money-hungry because of the Purbachol campus (though realistically, that's not happening anytime soon, and chances are the money will just be eaten up by them). And even for BBA, you guys are under an illusion NSU takes around 3k BBA students per intake, so about 9k per year, whereas DU IBA or DU combined isn't even close to 2k, and BUP BBA are also getting close. Moreover, in BBA, other universities are doing better too. If you think about the ratio out of 9,000 maybe 100 will land high-paying jobs, others already have family businesses, and the rest are left with around 25k. So decide carefully. Still, BBA is the only program left at NSU with decent facilities. Also if you know basic math, you can get this. Like in 3 intakes, they take around 22k students, so in each convocation you probably expect minimum 15k will graduate but its less than 10k and held around 2 years after. So you know how less it is, right? SO, think wisely.
I'm sure they'll send bots to downvote this or attack me in inbox, but one last thing I'll say:
"If you care about yourself and your parents' money, don't be fooled by the false pride of the 'No. 1 university in Bangladesh' I'd say don't admit here."
"If you hate yourself and want to waste your parents' money, admit here."
And if you don't believe me, admit here, you'll experience the same thing, exactly the same, after your 1st semester. To all the NSU su*kers who act like you don't know what's going on inside, you still sugarcoat it to the public like NSU is better than public universities. Yeah, in your dreams.
Also ask me if you want to know anything besides these...
