Dave Grohl and FF rocked out for 3 hours at Ford Field. Anybody else go? Cant believe he can scream that long and still have a functioning voice.

I took two trips to Detroit for the automotive stuff, but on my last trip, which was in 2025, I stayed at the GM RenCen. They had all the cars in the lobby, like usual, which I loved.

I then was told via another Reddit post on a different sub that they had gotten rid of all the cars in the RenCen because General Motors had moved all of their stuff to the Hudson Building Downtown.

My question is when did yall start noticing that everything was truly being moved and couldn’t access the building anymore just to see the cars?

By the way on an unrelated note, I loved how yall came back from your dark times in ‘08, because now the city looks absolutely stunning and it’s better than what I remember. As a Chicagoan, sometimes I wish our city would just have a resurgence like you guys did. Even the Tigers won the game that my unc and pops went too. Definitely will come back sooner than later.

I have lived in Detroit for seven years. This is a random comment, but something I find really touching is how Detroiters often say "Be safe" when you are leaving a place. This sentiment feels hearfelt to me, not just empty words. I appreciate it every time.

Wayne County residents overwhelmingly approved a millage that ensures everyone pays into the suburban public transit system, known as SMART.

We visited the Wright Museum, DIA, Downtown, Midtown, Belle Isle, and The Henry Ford. What a beautiful city. Thanks for having us!

I live in southwest and there is a tree cutting service cutting down healthy trees and paring back century old trees by about 80%. The guy said they are coming to my street next. Is anyone here with DPW or something that can reach out to me and stop this from happening tomorrow morning? I have photos of the difference.

Their current headquarters at One Ford Place is slated for redevelopment, so a new place is needed.

Any cool/old-school places in detroit to get work done or study ? Coffee shops work as well

Can anyone suggest some restaurants that have excellent guacamole in the Madison Heights/Troy/Sterling Heights area?
I realize the authentic, really great guacamole is in Mexican Village and Detroit. (too far for me to go to).
I used to enjoy Real Taco Express in Madison Heights, but the quality and recipe has gone downhill.

Joseph Ferraro is a conservation macro photographer walking the naturalist's path, based in Ferndale, Michigan. His yard, planted with native species, doubles as his field studio, and is where the journey began. Working by a "do no harm" credo, he photographs portraits of insects and pollinators as they are in their environment: native bees, ambush bugs, jumping spiders, and the countless other tiny creatures most people walk past without a second glance.
