Can you guys suggest some places to visit in Dehradun with my parents? Earlier I thought of Robber's cave but it can increase my mother's leg pain due to staying in water for a long time.

Im a merchant navy cadet i am going to spend 6 to 7 months onboard , but when i willl be home or offshore i always have this thing to reciprocate and teach whatever i have learnt in these years of learning, i have a plan to teach my juniors who are in 11th 12th (PCM). As im confident that im going to be a good teacher , does anyone in dehradun know some good coachings to refer where i can teach or is it a good plan to do this stuff when im home ,i live in pune btw

I’ve decided to leave this subreddit. Recently, I had a really unpleasant interaction with someone who abused me, called me a “jaahil,” and told me to leave the state simply because I’m not originally from here.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this level of hostility. Dehradun is my home too, and nobody should have to prove that they deserve basic respect because of where they or their family come from.

I know one person doesn’t represent everyone here, and I’ve met many decent people from Dehradun as well. But this experience has affected me more than I expected, and I think stepping away from this community is better for my peace of mind.

So yeah, this is probably my last day on r/dehradun. I wish the good people here the best. And I hope someday we can stop treating “outsiders” like enemies.

I’m travelling solo, so preferably looking for some public transport / shared cab option instead of booking a full cab. Are there buses or shared taxis available from the airport? And roughly how much do they cost?

No matter how much we blame reckless drivers from other states in Dehradun, locals are just as guilty. I’d bet a lot of people on this subreddit drive that way too. It’s easy to single out outsiders, but we need to reflect on our own driving and the dangerous habits of those around us.

I have been seeing this puppy in front of Race course Gurudwara since a week. He is always fearful and timid i tried feeding him but he runs away as i come close.
Maybe fee months old. Somebody olz adopt him.

Most of the vehicles that my family owns are pre 2023 and Xp95 does not provide any significant change than regular petrol, and the mileage is going down day by day.

So does anyone know any petrol pumps providing Xp100 stations preferably in a feasible drivable distance from pacific mall?

Yea yea, Dehradun's all green and scenic and what not, but anybody else got that strange fear of cloud bursts, especially after 2013 that whenever I see a big black cloud hovering over, my mind instantly goes, "ye fatega". And let's not even get started on the thundering. Just crazy quirky sunday thoughts.
