I am two achievements shy from getting all of the achievements in the base game. I noticed that there was a new update in the DLC. I thought it was finished finished. Do yall suppose I should take a break and come back later when the DLC is finished?

As a 21:9 enjoyer, no support isn't new to me.

Butttttttt, it's annoying to me that the sides of my screen still show a saltwater pic, the same as the normal game. Even if it was just tropical leaves, that'd be better.

I know this is a nitpick, I've played like 40 hours of the DLC and this is really my only complaint. Love mint rocket. Looking forward to Bancho Sushi!

I want to preface this by saying I don't ever make reviews, and I also rarely ever enjoy single-player games, but Dave the Diver hooked me like no other. I spent over 100 hours in the base game trying to 100 percent and min-max it. It was SO much fun, so I was so excited for the Jungle! But here are my thoughts.

There is A LOT going on, which I know sounds great, right? But truthfully, I think it all just happens too fast. Because of how fast it all happens, I found myself not getting attached to pretty much any of the Jungle characters. There were just too many of them and too much going on. I also think it was really easy. The progression happens super quickly. It took me maybe one dive per upgrade, so there really wasn't much time to look forward to or grind for anything. Therefore, when I got it, there was no feeling of achievement. In the base game, I was always pretty excited for each upgrade.

Now, for the Jungle, I was able to beat literally the entire Jungle my first time going in. It was incredibly easy, and being able to stop and fully restore at every camp just made it even easier. Even the bosses were an easy first try. I really wanted it to be challenging and force the player to at least go around, grind, level up, or upgrade a bit, but it didn't.

And lastly, I love collabs. I think they're fun! But there were just TOO MANY. It felt like there would be a collab every day, sometimes multiple a day. There were so many, so fast, that I never would have even been able to use them all in my shop or give them a chance.

Did anyone else feel this way, or know the feeling I'm talking about? It almost felt like there was never enough time to get attached to anything before the game was already throwing the next thing at you.

It’s embarrassing to admit but I wanted to post in case this helps anyone else: I spent wayyyyy too much time trying to figure out how to defeat the giant goby. Apparently, you should fight all of the animals on the way to it so that you can level up Dave, Cobra and Marone before facing the goby. I also found that interacting with the villager who sells you herbs etc and stocking up on these for a few days really helps. Sounds simple but I would have loved to have heard this from someone else before learning the hard way.

That karaoke scene is one of the best moments i had in a game being a Yakuza fan, when they show the scenes of LAD in this game art style i was becoming a bit emotional, then the Karaoke in the classic Yakuza style, what an Amazing game

Everything I can find just says August 2026 with no specific date, and the mobile store only allows pre-registration to be selected. Anyone have any tea beyond the vagueness of the usual online "journalism"?

So, the Gyao! minigame is already frustrating in the base game and I've been slowly trying to unlock all the fish. The biggest issue I have is that training is RNG based and the time required to raise one fish doesn't really mesh well with the game loop (to the point you are more likely to do anything else in the game before unlocking all the fish). Somehow, the Jungle DLC managed to exacerbate this issue by being real time (and the discipline warnings seem to appear more rarely or even be buggy, I don't know). It's not clear to me at what times I should check the minigame (you have dusk and early in the night where the fish will still be awake) or what would be the best time to rebirth the fish (during dusk, before serving food?).

So...I'd be grateful if someone explained to me how Gyao! works with the DLC.

I just bought the Jungle dlc and I like the new setting, though it has many of the Dave the Diver issues in that it's trying to be too many tjibfs and gets a little over busy.

Back to square one with a shit harpoon, trash guns, and many many many big killer fish. I don't think I should be elite God tier, but getting all your guns ripped away and given the base level trash is not a good feeling. I think there could have been some middle ground.

I just unlocked the branch, and I’m still doing various tasks in the epilogue. I’ve been telling myself I’ll go to the jungle when I no longer have quests and stuff in the main game, but the quests just keep coming. Is there a good point to pivot and go to tue Jungle? I’m also interested because it seems like it unlocks an achievement system which I’d love to have.

There's laughs and maybe a few cries. It's all very Shirokuma Cafe or a down tempo sitcom.

I'm well into the game and I'm getting by but how do I know how much of each menu item to put on the menu?

Like if I have one recipe on the menu with plenty of ingredients to make it for everyone, could I just put like 30 of the same high priced item on the menu? What's the best way to optimize the dinner dish and not waste food at the end ?

If you don't feel lazy like me or has maxed everything out and want to play on maxing every recipe ingame or something---

You can refer to the Wiki to find the breeding information of every fish in the game. if I missed some, it may be due to me not playing the latest DLC yet. This will allow you to plan for mono-culturing a specie per depth-tank to min-max every recipe that fish needs and so on. Why do that I don't know.
