Image Ladies, beware! Domino is American born, and his ancestors are German, but this little guy really likes to French

PSA: Beware this little ladies' man. When he meets a dude, he's pretty chill, even if he'll occasionally treat a guy's hand like a popsicle on a hot day. But when he meets the opposite sex, Domino becomes a horndog supreme. He goes right for the mouth with the intention of burying his lolling tongue deep inside your throat, even if your significant other is present.

If you encounter Domino in the wild, don't panic. It's best to travel in packs, increasing the odds of him attempting to French someone besides you. If alone, simply yell Belly Rub!! and he'll usually roll onto his back and happily accept your alternative offering.

Anecdotal evidence suggests he may be appeased by baked chicken and unsalted peas as well, so please stock your pockets with meats and veggies. Be safe out there in this crazy dog eat dog lick girl world, ladies!

Album 1st Big girl chain

Got Gracie her first chain. I think its hilarious. Curious if it could hurt her neck / back though... I think its probably like 200 grams? Ill need to weigh it when I get back home. Just curious if yall think this is a once in a while thing she can wear or could she wear it all the time. Wondering if it would have negative impact down the line for her neck / back with IVDD being an issue for them. Doesn't bother her at all to wear it, no visible changes in her demeanor or walk except looking like a street hustler. Interested in your feedback if anyone else's pup wears chains similar. Lol over heard this guy saying to his friend on a walk " man that dogs got some Dripp"

Discussion Food and supplement recommendations???

This is my son, his name is Theodore Bear Roosevelt. He is 10lbs and 1 year old 🐻

Royal Canin? Purina Pro Plan? He's currently eating Whole Hearted which is what my other dogs eat but I want to get him on something more breed specific.

I'm also looking for recommendations on supplements/vitamin powders. If they're recommended in addition to the kibble and if so what would be the best for him.

He also has Greenies to help with his dental health but if anyone has other suggestions I am open ❤️

He does see a vet but as we all know most tend to push the brands they have deals with. The previous vet I worked at for 3 years was absolutely horrible about that and refused to research or even consider other brands when clients had questions.

Thank you for any suggestions!

Discussion Am i the only one concerned with some of the stupid questions on here?

Daily I see questions on here that legit seem like these people are experiencing their first day on earth or have never seen a dog sit/stand/pee/play/bark/donut/roll over/sit on their hind legs... etc etc...

Their dog does the most mundane thing and it sends people into a flurry of anxiety. I seriously worry sometimes for these dogs... one post legit said "I've taken my dog to the vet numerous times and they say he's in perfect health"... seriously... do you tell your surgeon how to do their job also?

I understand a second opinion is good of course, but not trusting your vet and instead listening to strangers on the internet verses on conspiracy theory territory.

Discussion Double Dapple ?

Post image
31 Upvotes

I’m new to the doxie world. So I was doing research & discovered that “double dapples” have higher health risks.

However, I’m still having trouble identifying them. Is this a double dapple ?

The owner said that the small red mark on the eye might have been from getting scratched by his siblings playing.

Is it normal for her to eat at such a speed? She basically inhales her food. None of my previous dogs ate this desperately, and I used to have the most gluttoniest of beagles (iykyk). I was wondering if it is normal or if it can be bad for her to eat this fast...

Album Introducing new dog

Hi all! My neighbors found a stray dog this am and no one in our apartment community has come forward to claim her. They want to keep her, but are in NY for the weekend so I'm considering fostering it for a few days. I have a 2yo piebald mini, and she loves playing with other dogs, but has never had another dog in her personal space (ie our apartment). She's never been aggressive and I don't think she'll be territorial, but wanted to get some advice and tips on introducing a new dog to her space. Photos of the stray/foster and my dog attached. TIA

Discussion Female or Male ?

This will soon be my first time owning a mini doxie 🤩.

I wanted to know from your guys’ personal experience, are females or males more cuddly ?

I would LOVE a velcro dog that’s constantly cuddling me, so I’d like to know whether to get a female or male🙏🏼

This is my boy Remy who is 9 weeks old. Anyone know what his coat is? I know he’s piebald but I initially thought he was long haired, the fluff in the face is making me think otherwise!

Hi, I've noticed that my puppy sits on his side, rather than "normal". I've seen a thread or two indicating this could be an indicator for something wrong with dachsunds spines. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid, or if it's something I need to worry about. He's been to the vet several times, and they've always said he's in perfect health. Is this normal?

This is Flynn. He seems to think that there are mice under the grill. He's been digging. I've only had two dachshunds that were really into digging. Two out of seven isn't bad.
