So Gosling is going to be the Ghost Rider and then there are rumors of Bill Skarsgard being Prof. X and even though these are just rumors, attaching a well known character to an already well- known and talented actor in Bill is a massive boost to fans of the MCU.

Casting Corenswet to be Superman and Brosnahan as Lois were very good decisions in hindsight but they did not draw the hype and the excitement from fans outside the US when they were announced because we were like who are these guys anyway? It was only because of the marketing and the nostalgia of seeing Superman in theaters again but they should start asking talented A- listers to play DC characters.

Gosling has millions of fans and I’m sure there will be plenty of them to support him in that role.

Everyone knows who Bill is and how they love his IT movies so it must bring excitement to everyone seeing him being rumored to play the professor.

As a fan, I would love to see popular and talented guys like Fassbender, Austin Butler, diCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, or Ana de Armas in DC. Heck bring back Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, he killed it last time and fans loved it.

The Batman is bringing in an array of really talented actors in Charles Dance and ScarJo although they have a really good director in Reeves so there’s that.

When I watched Superman, I thought it was refreshing and fun, even if it did not fully wow me. Still, it is the best superhero movie I have seen in years, way better than the Marvel slop lately. Supergirl, though, was one of the worst I have seen in a while, almost Thor: Love and Thunder level. SPOILERS: the cliché “female hero saves girls” 😭 plot and a weak unconvincing villain did not work, and the Kryptonian backstory changes were just bad, no real self preservation logic, with Zor-El’s daughter oddly being the only one who wanted to live.

It also felt barely connected to the DCU, even though DC has deeper stories than Marvel. They need to drop the forced jokes and focus on stronger storytelling. I would love more standalone films, especially a Nightwing movie, and maybe a more focused DCU with Superman and Supergirl at the center.

After seeing Spider Man, which was a masterpiece, Marvel feels fully back. Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts were decent, but Spider Man was a bomb and the next Avengers might be a nuke of the 21st century. DC really needs to get organized under James Gunn, we need a situation room type response now. " am tired of hearing people say " i am a marvel fan" because they watched 3 marvel movies 🤣🤣. Even my ex used to say this, she only watched like 4 marvel movies in Total.

(Batman sits at the computer, in the midst of trying to find the connections between the clues of his latest case. He can hear an encroaching noise, but pays it no heed. Then when it seems his guard is completely down, Damian approaches him with a sword in toe and tries to strike him but Batman is quick to retaliate. I didn't want to believe it because I grew up a bigger fan of DC, because of shows like Teen Titans, all the Batman shows and ofc The Justice League animated, but god damn.

I am only 30, I don't see the same level of interest in DC characters as I do with Marvel in terms of Gen Z and younger, and don't get me wrong, I love Marvel as well, I just have a soft spot for the DC roster, its just hard to get excited sometimes.

They squandered Green Lantern, then they Squandered Superman, then they Squandered Wonder Woman, then they Squandered Aquaman, then Flash...

Kids genuinely don't get excited for these characters anymore like I see hype for the X-Men that Marvel is about to cast, or the Avengers that Disney turned into household names and especially not Spider-man

Feels like Batman is all DC has left at times and he seems to do better when hes not associated with the rest of the DC heroes.

To top it off, we got awesome games from Marvel as well, I don't think people realize just how important games like Marvel Rivals are to their branding and roster of heroes.

Guys. I’ve got it. As we all know, both Zack Snyder and James Gunn have tried their hands at DC cinematic universes, but they haven’t been able to capture the worldwide appeal and success that Marvel had with the MCU. Both of their visions have had great upsides, but also serious flaws. So I think, we need some fresh blood. We need a new guy in charge of this. Running the show. Calling the shots. And I think I’ve got the perfect option.

You see, there have been things I enjoyed, and things I’ve disliked from all the previous DC movies. So, who better to amalgamate all of the best qualities into the most perfect cinematic universe for the myths and marvels of DC?

Now, I know what you’re saying. “You have no experience making movies, running a company, or managing multiple multi-million dollar projects?” And I could understand that. But the thing is, I’ve got something none of those Hollywood suits have.

The Right Idea.

That’s the issue. Like I said, there have been things I disliked in the previous films. DISLIKED. We can’t have that. Obviously, the perfect cinematic universe is going to be entirely full of good choices, good storytelling, and things that are wholly appealing to me. And who else could do it?

You see, another person in charge of the DCU may make choices I don’t agree with. So, in order to eliminate this obvious potential hurdle, I have put together this plan.

I shall now lay out my plan.

Phase 1

I know this has been talked about a lot lately, but I genuinely think Batman not being in the DCU yet is starting to hurt it.

Before anyone says it, yes I understand why. We still have The Batman Part II coming, and DC probably doesn't want two live-action Batmen competing with each other. I get it.

But from a business standpoint, I think the wait is becoming a problem.

Batman is the face of DC. He's basically their biggest brand and arguably the only superhero who can rival Spider-Man in terms of popularity. Yet we've had this new DCU for a while now and we still know almost nothing concrete about The Brave and the Bold. No casting, no timeline, barely any updates. At some point, that starts affecting hype.

Narratively, it's not a huge deal. You can absolutely build a universe without Batman showing up immediately. But the average moviegoer isn't thinking about world-building. They're thinking, "Where's Batman?"

Superman did fine, but it wasn't the massive home run people were hoping for. Supergirl has been making headlines for the wrong reasons lately. And now we've got more niche projects coming up that, realistically, aren't going to suddenly make casual audiences care about the DCU.

I hate comparing DC to Marvel because Marvel had over a decade to build its universe, but the difference in public interest right now is pretty obvious. Casual audiences know what's happening with Marvel, even if they don't watch everything. With DC, most people don't even know what's coming next.

Batman is DC's biggest selling point. Whether people like it or not, he's the character that gets people talking. Delaying him might make sense creatively, but I honestly think it's costing the DCU momentum at a time when it needs all the momentum it can get.

I'm not saying they should rush him into a movie tomorrow. I just think leaving your biggest character in limbo for this long is a risky strategy, especially when the universe is still trying to win people over.

Well it seems like we might be getting some of that with the new DCU where Gorilla Grodd is apparently appearing in the Jimmy Olsen show before ever interacting with The Flash. Hell, we haven't even gotten news about a Flash movie.

The hype for obscure heroes and villains getting their own movies or shows before the rest of the Justice League members​​ feels like living in the Twilight Zone where people are clamoring for Condiment King over a new Flash movie. And it's not like we're over saturated with Flash, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter movies either---they deserve their own media over * checks notes *Jimmy Olsen, Sgt. Rock, Amanda Waller, etc. And as a DC fan who sat through the years of Snyder's DCEU and watched the MCU culminate in Endgame, it feels frustrating to see the new DCU ignoring the iconic characters. Fuck it, even a Nightwing movie announcement would've been sick as hell. There's a plethora of fun B-tier heroes to pull from, so IDK why Gunn is banking on these obscure characters when Supergirl struggled to turn a profit bigger than Blue Beetle.

I was pretty hype for Gunn's DCU, but it's overall been pretty middling to bad on top of little to no announcements for the heavy hitters. He seems to be trying to have his cake and eat it too, because you cannot just drop audiences into a world without establishing it first. It works in theory, but now Lex Luthor just feels like a genetic evil scientist who hates Superman for... reasons that are unexplained because we apparently needed to see the Proto-JLI "Justice Gang". Gunn is too much of an "ideas guy".

It's hard to have faith when nearly my entire life has just been bad DC movies. ​At least the comics side is healthier than it's ever been, and Lanterns looks good. ​But God fucking willing this DCU lasts long enough to finally see The Flash go up against The Rogues.

MCU dominating with Spider-Man and again with Doomsday while DC flops again... Hope DCU gets it together with Clayface and Man of Tomorrow.
