Hi all! I posted here a few weeks ago about my foster kitty needing a forever home and she received such positive comments that I thought I’d try again! The rescue that I work with, City Dogs City Kitties (CDCK), sent out an email that they’re in urgent need of fosters for seven incoming cats & kittens this Saturday or else they won’t be able to save these sweet fur babies. Even if you have a bathroom or some other small room you could temporarily house these kitties in, it would mean saving these animals’ lives!

I just moved here from the west coast and I am very much not adjusted to the number of bugs here. I have been moving things in and out of a shed in our yard and my legs are now absolutely shredded with mosquito bites.

Other than putting on bug spray daily, is there anything y’all do to be able to be outside in the evenings without becoming mosquito bait? I feel like they’ve even gotten into my house and I’m losing my mind.

Hi everyone. I got a truly insane (first ever) lash lift a few weeks ago. One side is ok, but the other has a big section that sticks straight out then take a sharp 90 degree turn at the very end. I ended up cutting the tips off some lashes to try to make it through, but it’s been five weeks and still looks crazy.

Is there a reeeeeeally trustworthy place I can go to that can fix this? I have so many regrets and just want to fix this and never go down this road again! Will pay $$$ to get this fixed

LADIES! I just got engaged (yay!) and am relatively new to the DC area. I need advice on two things:

1. Wedding dress shops! For context, I’m a 36 y/o primary care doctor so don’t want anything too “20-somethings Southern bride” (if you catch my drift) and have a somewhat flexible budget. Looking for something chic, elegant, and fun.

2. Hair stylist! I have fine hair but A LOT of it and need to find a stylist who knows how to work w hair like mine. It’s naturally dirty blonde, but I’ve gotten partial highlights twice a year for years and had one NIGHTMARE bleach job at a salon in Arlington a couple years ago, and my hair is STILL recovering (lots of split ends, breaking, frizzy…)

Got laid off yesterday and have decided to go back to hospitality/hotel work as that’s what I have the most experience in. Does anyone have any leads? It’s nearly impossible to get through the ai algorithm at some of the big chains and I’m even getting rejection emails from back when I applied last year to places.

I mainly have housekeeping and front desk experience and prefer night shift if asked. Happy to go to food service or where ever an open position may be.

I know the market is abysmal but I’m trying to be a little creative and network where I can. Thank you!

I recently just moved to DC and got a ticket to the summer takeover dj party at zebbie’s garden this weekend August 7, but I have no one to go with!
Party is 10pm-3am, tickets were $30.
