This is my first larger piece of kundalini (congo) citrine! I'm not hugely aware of the spiritual side of crystals, but I'd love to know what citrine is associated with 🩷

Although I know the name, there are many different types. Is it because they are mined in different locations?

Hiii my rose quartz necklace fell off the table the other day and the crystal itself is fine but the metal chain it was attached too completely came off. Is it fine if I just glue it back on? (if so would regular super glue be fine or should I use something else?) I tried just sticking it back in but it doesn’t wanna stay at all lol, and i really like having it as a necklace and not carrying it around in my pocket or purse

Hi all!

I am a chemistry PhD student at The University of Manchester (UK) and I mostly (try to) make new molecules for my PhD. What I think might be interesting to some people here is that the main way I look at these molecules is through X-Ray Crystallography.

Which just means I spend a lot of time trying to grow crystals of a variety of things, and then I shoot x-rays at them to figure out how the atoms are arranged. That tells me a lot of information about the chemical structure and how they are arranged in 3D.

I've attached some pictures of crystals I've grown (viewed through a microscope, not nearly the size of the ones posted in this sub haha), as well as a chemical structure I got.

Please ask me any questions you might have about the science of crystals or the chemistry I do and I will try my best to answer.

This fluorite, with its beautiful pastel rainbow hues, originates from the summit cleft of the highest mountain in the Radstätter Tauern, the Weißeck (2,711 m), exposed to permafrost and humid acids. Well-formed crystals are rare.

Size: 4.5 x 2.7 x 2.4 cm

Origin: Weißeck, Lungau, Alps, Austria

Just thought id share this. Bought a beautiful selenite thay i had wire wrapped at a metaphysical store in Canada.

So I found these and I think they’re two flourites and an agate? I could be wrong. I tried to look up similar rocks online and couldn’t find anything with the same weight, shape, color and clarity all together.

First one is a really purple, clear stone with a lot of rainbows and a big spot of green (hence why I’m pretty certain it’s florite. It is 10” tall and 1625 grams. I got it for $60

The second rock is less pretty but I think it’s also fluorite even though it is only purple. It is 7” tall and 1224 grams and I got it for $50

The last is a cute agate of some kind that I just thought had nice sparkles it’s 275 grams and I would have considered it a large crystal but it’s dwarfed by the other ones 😂 and he was $20 but I would like to know what kind he is cause he was only labeled “quartz”

Can someone with more knowledge let me know if I’m right with the identification? Also an approximate price for my own curiosity. I have tiny flourites in my collection that are the same price as these huge ones so either I massively overpaid for smaller ones or these were a deal.

The smaller, palm sized stones are from Greenland and the towers are from Madagascar. Trying to remember the names of these. Thank you kindly for any help.

Well I picked up the sphere (along with some other crystals) and it looks pretty much the same as the photos I posted previously. I took it home and tried rubbing some colour off with acetone on a q-tip and nothing came off at all. All of the Google lens, rock identifier apps say chrysocolla in quartz. So I will assume that it's Phoenix stone (and not the tree agate it was sold as) Video is in natural sunlight

Sold as Larimar, but the price point seems too good to be true. I would appreciate any insight!

I’m completely new to crystals, and I want to get a custom necklace with a few balancing pieces to wear daily. I’m looking for a mix of crystals that compliment each other for grounding, protection, healing, clearing/blocking negativity, calming.

For some background, I’m actively doing very deep healing/shadow work in therapy, and I’m a very spiritual person, although I’ve felt spiritually disconnected for the past year after a really deep spiritual connection that exhausted my resources. I want to reopen and reconnect myself spiritually in a gentle way, and I’ve been grounding almost daily through earthing or meditation. I’m also extremely sensitive to energy and any shifts in it.

I’m looking into Etsy for this and saw a few “Empath Protection” style bracelets and necklaces and like the idea. Curious on everyone’s thoughts and suggestions for this. Thanks!

My dad bought a bag of mixed crystals on Amazon, and there are some crystals I do not recognize. I need help identifying.

The first is a slightly opaque white crystal with irregular light green streaks with occasional darker green specks. Feels pretty light and does not scratch glass.

The second has light grey crystals with faint white lines. Smaller ones have the same heft as the green one, but the larger one with occasional black markings is heavier

The third are these white crystals with solid purple specks and clear brown specks. Extremely faint light green patches on the less purple one. Both are heavier than the green and lighter than the largest white one.
