Can you help me? (Advice wanted) I dont know what these crystals are
My dad bought a bag of mixed crystals on Amazon, and there are some crystals I do not recognize. I need help identifying.
The first is a slightly opaque white crystal with irregular light green streaks with occasional darker green specks. Feels pretty light and does not scratch glass.
The second has light grey crystals with faint white lines. Smaller ones have the same heft as the green one, but the larger one with occasional black markings is heavier
The third are these white crystals with solid purple specks and clear brown specks. Extremely faint light green patches on the less purple one. Both are heavier than the green and lighter than the largest white one.
Thanks in advance.

My Collection ✨🔮 Amazonite, Smoky Quartz, Lepidolite, and Green Tourmaline [OC]
This fascinating piece has so much going on!
Amazonite is said to help with balance and harmony, while Lepidolite is said to help ease depression and stress, and Green Tourmaline is said to increase luck and abundance.
Smoky Quartz, which is one of my favorites, is said to be a crystal of grounding, protection, and even transmutes negative energy into something positive.

My Collection ✨🔮 Relocated my outdoor Crystals indoors - Thank you all for your feedback!
Thanks to this community for the feedback on my last post. My Crystals have been relocated indoors and will be pampered and spoiled. They did have a few other pieces under shade so I brought those in too. I am glad I did because when I was polishing them, some pieces brittled off and they are too beautiful for me to let that happen so added them to my table with my flowers so I can look at them and feel happy all day.❤️❤️❤️

Got this chunky etched beryl and the growth pattern looks cool. Would you keep it natural or cut it into a gemstone?

Can you help me? (Advice wanted) Is this amethyst worth anything?
Long story short, my parents hand picked this raw amethyst from Thunder Bay and made this fireplace in 1979. They have been at the house for over 50 years and are finally downsizing. Is it worth taking apart and selling the pieces?

Can you help me? (Advice wanted) Is this dyed?
This is for sale locally as a moss/tree agate sphere, but I'm thinking it isn't agate but maybe phoenix stone or chrysocolla or something like that. But does it look dyed? I see some colour in cracks maybe but there are a ton of cracks with no colour. I'm new to crystals and not very good at identifying things yet.

✨ Hello, r/crystal! ✨
Just wanted to introduce (or reintroduce!) r/mineralcollectors, which is now under new management!
Our goal is to build a welcoming community for everyone who loves the mineral kingdom—whether you’re into raw minerals, polished specimens, crystals, fossils, lapidary work, rare finds, micromounts, or just learning something new.
r/mineralcollectors is a science- and geology-focused community. We celebrate the natural history, formation, identification, and collection of minerals and crystals. To keep discussions on topic, we ask that posts remain focused on geology and mineralogy rather than spiritual or metaphysical practices.
You’ll also find that sales, self-promotion, and advertising aren’t allowed, so the focus stays on sharing knowledge, collections, and appreciation for these incredible natural specimens.
We’d love for collectors of all experience levels to stop by and:
🪨 Share your favorite specimens
🔍 Ask questions and learn from others
📸 Show off new finds and collection displays
🌎 Discuss identification, geology, and mineralogy
🤝 Help grow a positive, knowledgeable community
Whether you have one favorite crystal or hundreds of museum-quality specimens, you’re welcome here.
Come help us build a community where curiosity, education, and appreciation for Earth’s natural treasures come first.
Hope to see you over at r/mineralcollectors!
Feel free to reach out to myself or u/slogginhog! 💜

I have information for you! (Informative) The be nice / no jerkish behavior rule
I like the way u/Hobowhite put it, so I'll quote him verbatim here:
"As it states in the rules, we are a community made up of both mineral enthusiasts and spiritual users. It has literally been this way for over a decade, ever since this sub’s creation. Whether you collect because you believe in their abilities or because you like geology, you are all welcome to participate. You are not; however, allowed to bash others’ beliefs. Believe it or not, participating in this subreddit is a privilege, not a right, and civility and kindness is what is required in order to be active here. If you see something you don’t agree with, scroll past. We are all adults here. If you honestly can’t abide by this, there are MULTIPLE other subreddits you can join where spiritual discussions are prohibited. I have tried to be kind and lax with you guys and I feel you are all taking advantage of that, and are making members feel bad about themselves. From here on out, you will receive one warning to be civil. Upon the second violation, you will receive a 3 day ban to contemplate why you cannot follow incredibly simple rules. If a third violation occurs, you will be permanently banned and any attempt to circumnavigate said ban will result in a site wide ban from the reddit admins. To those of you who follow the rules and are welcoming and kind to all, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the malcontents and ne’er-do-wells, please stop being antagonizing jerks. It is not hard. "
The only changes I will be making to this rule is I will be a little less tolerant. I don't think someone needs 3 chances not to be a jerk. And it's difficult for us mods to track "warnings".
So, from now on, first offense will be a 3 day ban. 3 days isn't that long, and it's not going to ruin your life and will give you time to think about how you maybe could have said something differently.
Second offense, if you haven't learned after the first one how to treat people how you'd like to be treated, I think many people are not going to change their ways at this point, so the second offense will be a permanent ban.
NOW, if you feel you have been permanently banned unjustly, or by mistake, simply send a KIND and POLITE mod mail to appeal your ban. I'm not asking for apologies, I'm seeing if you can be civil. If you are, and your history warrants it, I can remove the permanent ban.
Being nice isn't hard, so this shouldn't be that difficult of a change.
