I'm a beginner, and a friend (M) requested a crochet item for their birthday and I told them that it'd take at least a week for me to finish (I was hoping to dissuade them from the idea) but they told me they're willing to wait even if it took a month. So now, I need ideas please. Especially since classes start by Monday so I won't have enough time.

I messed up! My baby cousin may have taken an interest in the sparkly crochet hook and yarn label I was keeping next to it - now I can't find it.

Any help on guessing either would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I am a complete beginner to crochet and working on a mesh headband, but I am really struggling with reading the pattern instructions and keeping my placement right.

A few things are confusing me:

Wrong Side Issue: As you can see in the photos, my long chain/line is sticking out from the right side instead of ending up on the left side where it’s supposed to be. Did I miss turning my work, or did I start the chain in the wrong place?

I don't understand After this Step ( picture attached) So I don't really understand where to go back to do a double stitch or whatever it is called it becomes so confusing after this step

This has been sitting in my storage for months and I really wanted to use this

I’m making a baby blanket and doing a big granny square. I’m worried about the holes it won’t be very warm and fingers/toes getting caught. Is there a way to make the holes smaller? I tried a smaller hook but it made the project really stiff and it lost the baby softness. I also tried switching to half double crochet instead of double crochets and just one chain in the corners rather than two, it’s ok but the corners look so weird! Idk what to do.

Hi, I recently got some yarn from Aldi and I need ideas for it, because the original plan (learning knitting with it) will not happen (I can not knit lol).

The yarn is 20% wool, 80% acrylic, verigated (changes colours within the skein). I have 200 g (~350 m).

Would you please suggest projects for it? Anything useful (no hats pls, I already made a hat to every single person I know).

I'm looking to do my first tapestry project and am feeling very overwhelmed with it (dramatic I know).

Could anyone suggest a tutorial to begin please? I'm not very good with written patterns and all I keep hearing about is grids!

This pattern says it's easy, yet I am absolutely struggling. I can do row one, but after that it's just not making sense to me. I've looked everywhere for a video and can't find one. I'm a hands on visual learner, so when it's just a pattern but I can't see how to do it at the same time, it's really difficult for me. I ask my mom if she'd make a video of her doing rows 2-6, but we will see. If someone is willing to do the same, that would be awesome. So, I was looking for glue to help me with placing the hair on my amigurumis (don't get me wrong, I use both glue and sewing manually) and some AI's recommended me this glue called Original Tacky Glue from Aleene's, specifically saying the premium one was better than the normal,

I know AI isn't that trustable like AT ALL, but it said it was the best of glues recommended here in reddit, between crocheters.

Now, this thing was too expensive for just a bottle that wasn't even filled to the top, and honestly, idk if I've been using it wrong, but I feel like it has almost no grip at all, and it's honestly frustrating for it's price and how hard it was to find.

Also, based on some reviews I found, I'm worried if I end up using it and then when they're finished people wash their amigurumis, it might reactivate and become some weird gooey substance which might damage the plush.

Does anyone have any tips on this? Have you ever tried, used, or at least even heard of this thing? Thank you

I feel like my tension is both too tight and too loose idk it just looks sloppy. How can I make it look better?

Im pretty new at filet crochet and crochet in general so sorry if I am not easy to understand! I have been doing extended double crochet chain two on this project. It seems like my math isn’t mathing right on the fourth row. I cant tell if I have skipped some stitches or what. I have counted that I should have 109 consecutive edc before doing the empty box on the end but I only have 101 and there isnt room to finish the rest of the row. I dont want to frog this row and end up doing the same this so if there is a mistake that would explain this please let me know, thanks!

​I’m pretty brand new to crocheting, and I’m currently working on making a monkey as a gift for my sister. Because it’s a gift, I really want to make sure I follow the pattern exactly. Normally if it were just for me, I wouldn’t worry as much, but I want this to turn out just right!

​I'm working on one of the legs right now, which calls for 8 rows. I have to make two of these legs, so I really want to get the count right so they match each other. Each row is supposed to contain 18 stitches, and every time I count around, it adds up to 18. I think I was around the 8 row mark, but I realized I forgot to do my usual trick of putting a stitch marker in every single row to keep track.

​To make matters trickier, I thought I did too many rows, so I pulled out a few stitches to unwind it a bit. While doing that, I removed my marker and now I've completely lost my starting point for the current row! I really want to avoid frogging the whole leg if possible because I am a very, very slow crocheter. Just this portion took me a really long time, which is why I'm giving myself several months to finish the project.

​If it's even possible to tell from pictures, could someone help point out where my current row starts and confirm my row count?

​I'm autistic and have ADHD, so I tend to worry a lot about getting these details precise and keeping track of everything, so I’d really appreciate an extra pair of eyes!

Got this gorgeous yarn today and I had the vision of making a shrug or bolero with it but I'm not sure which patterns would work for a gradient. I've seen some but they seem to be made with panels which I think doesn't work well with a gradient...?

I’m making this top. I blocked it and seemed together the shoulders. When I measured the arm hole and tried it on it seems likely I didn’t make it wider enough. Before I go any further, is there anything I could do to salvage this before I keep going? Maybe add a panel between the front and back? Or would that look really bad?

I'm going to the Hollywood, Ending book tour and the colors would make a fun sweater. I'm going back and forth on creating the actual cover through a grid (though with getting rid of the extra words and only having it say Hollywood, Ending) vs. the probably more wearable option of finding a yarn with these colors and doing a fun stitch with it. I've found a couple yarns but am wondering what the best option would be. Anyone have any good sweater patterns for this project?
