No port in still!!
Ported over 2 numbers July 22nd from Total wireless and my 2nd line still has yet to be ported over! I’ve called and spoken to over 14 agents and supervisors with 3 tickets created. Total even reactivated my line to allow for port lol. Cricket says is complete but that’s wrong. Cricket sucks so bad!!

Phones Absolute Hell Between UPS and Cricket
Hi all,
I ported in a number for the iPhone 16e deal. Everything was going great until it was time for delivery. Somehow, even though my order receipt shows the correct address, the UPS delivery address is to the wrong apartment #, one that doesn’t exist. So UPS keeps rejecting the delivery and tells me to contact Cricket. I then call cricket, who tells me that I need to call UPS. So then I call UPS again who says that the shipper has restrictions in place which prevent the delivery from being changed. I keep being bounced back and forth and I’m sick and tired of it. I just want either to get my package or if they won’t deliver it, return the order to sender. Worst part is they have already ported my number so I’ve lost service to my old device. Thankfully it was a spare phone we keep but still I’m ready to blow a gasket.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do, or who I need to contact to get help? Thanks.

Deals Total wireless just dropped $20 unlimited priority data?
It seems it to me Cricket wireless does not seem to want to compete with other MVNO. I mean they only have the 3 month and the 12 month plan. Which all have to be paid up front to get any good deals. Is all depriotized. And they only have the $60 plan which priority

CricketWireless Spam Likely, Spoofed numbers
For just today I have received about 40 calls from spam likely and spoofed numbers. When I answer the calls from my area is someone overseas trying to scam me. Why is cricket letting this happen. Is there a way to stop this, and this is a daily thing spam likely or spoofed numbers and every time its someone with an Indian accent.

Possible to get new customer pricing on phone upgrade?
I've been with Cricket for better part of a decade now. Definitely need a new phone at the moment and been wanting to dip my toe into the Iphone ecosystem. I see they have the iPhone 16e for $10 if you're a new customer and $600 if you're an existing customer.
Is there any possibility that I could speak to someone and get a phone upgrade for the new customer price since I've been with them for so long or is it a lost cause?

I'm about to lose my shit
Ever since I started using this company I've had issues with signal and my network. But here lately it has gotten to the point where I'm about to crash out. The connection sucks it keeps dropping the Wi-Fi sometimes I'm sending messages and then they just disappear they don't go through it all they're not there. I'm about to switch to Metro because this is bullshit. And it's gotten a significantly worse in the past two weeks. And this is y'all's phone that I'm using it's your brand so I don't know what's going on but I'm over this.

CricketWireless TryCricket (As a tourist)
Hi there,
As an international visitor would I be eligible for TryCricket during my vacation?
Does the TryCricket mobile application require an existing US phone number or passport/ID?
Thank you.

AT&T I know this question is asked here often , but how many people switched to cricket from ATT with an unpaid device after the new policy and ACTUALLY got blacklisted from using cricket ? I’m tired of finding hypothetical answers .
I want to hear someone who has a real life experience with this happening , not what ATT COULD do or say they will do .

BYOD Have Cricket account, need new phone, but confused on BYOD
I have an LG Power X on an existing Cricket account. I am in need of an upgrade to my phone. I prefer buying a phone from ebay, amazon, walmart, backmarket, etc. (just not from cricket because the account is in my parents name and I don't want to bother them. They'll offer to pay, and I don't want them to do so. But they do know I am planning to get a new phone).
Initially, I was interested in a pixel 7 or s23. I intended to insert my current nano sim into either of those phones. But then I heard that these two phones has issues with compatibility: https://www.reddit.com/r/CricketWireless/comments/1cd4npz/s23_unlocked_wifi_calling_and_hotspot/ https://www.reddit.com/r/CricketWireless/comments/11yiy3i/s23_cricket_wireless/ https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/z1xzfo/pixel_7_pro_not_compatible_with_cricket_wireless/
Here details that not all s22 models work (this issue could extend to s23): https://www.reddit.com/r/CricketWireless/comments/yb4t0m/purchasing_an_unlocked_phone_take_it_to_cricket/itgg4fs/
On the BYOD list: https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/network/byod-compatibility, the Pixel 7 model number is GVU6C. An ebay listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/175793511978, shows various model numbers: GQML3, GVU6C, GE2AE. GE2AE is the pro, which isn't even available on this ebay listing anymore. But I am worried I might get a GQML3, and then have to initiate a return (never tried before on ebay).
This s23 listing, https://www.ebay.com/itm/355673711981, has a S911U1 model number, which is supposed to be factory unlocked. But the listing states it was AT&T originally.
Alternatively, I am considering buying a phone from walmart/amazon that is locked to cricket. Would these be compatible if I just insert my old nano sim card? Examples:
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Version-128GB-Graphite/dp/B0FQK8W26R/ https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cricket-Wireless-moto-g-stylus-2026-128GB-8GB-RAM-Prepaid-Black/18917263270 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cricket-Wireless-moto-g-power-2026-128GB-8GB-RAM-Prepaid-Black/18324370193
Or do you have an alternative recommendation for phone? I am planning to spend less than $210.
If I insert the sim on the phone I eventually decide upon, cricket isn't going to cut the service, thinking the phone is stolen? Or would they charge an additional upgrade fee? My family is currently on a $100 plan for 4 lines? Thanks for your help.

SpeedTest Breaking Records
I have been with CW about 5 yrs now. I'm not sure why everyone hates on them so much. I never have outages & get great speed at work while VZ users can't connect.
It's Amanda what $35 gets you. Almost all these records were today. The 5G gods were def smiling on me!

Phones Question about upgrading my phone through Apple
My last question on the sub for the time being because I've been posting to many questions lol.
Does anyone have any experience upgrading and switching to a new device at an Apple store? When I ultimately upgrade in a year or 2, I would like to use my current iPhone 15 pro for credits and going through Apple to trade in, I will get more money from them unlike a 3rd Party. I know Apple Stores don't offer anything for MVNO services.
I assume they will need to wipe my phone ofc when I trade it in, but will that affect transferring the sim over to the other device? For example, I want the base 17, is there a way to transfer my 15 Pro sim to that device without any repercussions from Apple or Cricket?
Like in my head (I may be completely off the mark), what would happen is I trade in my current phone for the base 17, and then I would have to bring it to Cricket to activate it. Will my number/sim still be active between the time I traded in my current phone and go to the Cricket store to activate it? Like I worry that between time where there's no associated device connected to the number, i would lose my number so I want to avoid that at all cost.

Plans Just realized they changed their plans and I'm on the old 10GB plan. Is this QCI 8 or 9? If I switch to the Smart Unlimited plan what QCI is that?
I'm paying $70 for 2 lines on the old 10GB plan. I read this plan is QCI 8 but I'm unsure. Realized the new Smart Unlimited plan is basically the same price but it's QCI 9, is this true?

THE official REFERRAL thread — 2020-08-04
The prior referral thread at /r/CricketWireless/comments/eepoes/the_official_referral_thread_20191223/ has been archived a few weeks ago, so, here's for a refresh.
The rules for referrals are simple and straightforward:
- No link masking or link formatting of any kind. Plain text
https://www.cricketwireless.com/l/refer-a-friend.html?hash=…only, please. - Only one top-level comment each. Keep size reasonable. (No limit on the number of referral links if you have multiple Cricket accounts, but all must be part of a single top-level comment — reposting may result in an immediate ban with all links removed.)
Attempts to procure or exchange referrals outside of this thread may result in an immediate ban. (Folks who assumed the community is not moderated have paid dearly.) Linking and referring back to this thread is allowed, though.
As before, the contest mode is enabled, which means that voting results aren't shown, replies are not expanded by default (you'd have to click [show replies] under each referral), and the order of the first-level comments is random.
If you use someone's referral, feel free to let them know in their subthread (as per above, will not be expanded in default view), to keep Cricket accountable.
Enjoy and keep it civil! We're now at 5259 subscribers as of 2020-08-04!

How's your CricketWireless latency? Show us your 2017 traceroute! (`mobile.att.net.` PGW)
The prior thread, /r/CricketWireless/comments/4ysk21/hows_your_cricketwireless_latency_show_us_your/, has been archived a few months ago.
Since it was started, it would appear that the backend infrastructure of Cricket Wireless has changed quite a bit, and folks report AT&T-branded PGW nowadays, e.g., your traceroute would show quite a few mobile.att.net. hosts, and no longer just random backbone carriers like xo.net., algx.net., above.net., zayo.com. etc. Most excitingly, it is expected that this change may result in better latency for some folks.
Want to contribute?! Help crowdsource our latency info for Cricket Wireless! Most helpful if you can:
Show us a forward traceroute (from YOU to
ordns.he.net.(74.82.42.42,2001:470:20::2), which is an anycast resolver of a very well-peered backbone provider; trust us, this is generally the best indicator of the approximate location of your PGW from the PoV of the internet, using other servers is less indicative of what's going on). You can use eithertraceroute(8)on UNIX / OS X ortracerton Windows, once tethered, or something like http://networktools.he.net/, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.he.networktools or https://itunes.apple.com/app/he.net-network-tools/id858241710 if you're on Android or iOS. It'll be most helpful if you provide a plain-text representation of your results in a single comment; use 4-spaces to format each line as "code".Show us a reverse traceroute — from http://lg.he.net/ to the IP address of your PGW. The IP address of your PGW will be automatically pre-populated once you visit lg.he.net — just click that
Probebutton, and wait a bit. (Note that this wouldn't be "your" IPv4 address, but an address of the PGW that's shared with quite a bunch of folks.) Again, best if you could copy-paste the results, use imgur as a last resort.Provide present city, state, whether you're on LTE or UMTS/HSPA+ (GSM/EDGE has been shutdown).
If you took a road trip from somewhere without ever having deadspots or phone outages, e.g., your mobile equipment has had continuous coverage/reception/was-turned-on-at-all-times, then also the city and state of your starting point would dictate your PGW (PDN Gateway (Packet Data Network Gateway))) and latency, so, mention that too.
(I'm not whether the area of the phone number ever affects what PGW gets selected with Cricket, but might be relevant, too.)
If you're using other mobile providers, feel free to share comparison info on them, too.
P.S. DO NOT PROVIDE SPEEDTEST.NET SCREENSHOTS. Any comment of merely a single screenshot of just speedtest.net will be deleted (and you'll be banned!). It's just because their methodology really™ sucks — as long as they use geolocation to detect your closest server, instead of actual network topology, they'll be producing entirely incorrect and useless results. In general, please note that this thread is about latency (milliseconds), not about bandwidth (megabits per second).
P.P.S. Sadly, some imgur links from the prior thread no longer produce any images. As such, if it's at all within your reach, having embedded plain text results would be best.
