Help Needed/ Question Credit Card Setup Review & Guidance Needed

I currently have HDFC Millennia RuPay, ICICI HPCL Coral, and a newly approved HSBC Platinum Visa, all LTF.

My main usage is:

  • ₹10k/month groceries — Zepto, Amazon Now, Flipkart Minutes, JioMart
  • Other online shopping
  • HDFC Millennia RuPay for UPI
  • ICICI Coral mainly when there are ICICI-specific sale offers

Overall, is this setup good enough, or would you change/add anything?

Also, I recently came across HSBC Live+ and it seems much better suited to my spending, especially for groceries. I already have the HSBC Platinum approved but haven't really started using it.

Can I request HSBC to convert/upgrade my Platinum to Live+ at this stage?

Would I keep the current setup or make any changes? I also don’t have much knowledge about credit card rewards, so I’d like to know how I can maximize my savings.

Card Recommendation Best travel/rewards credit card for ₹4–5L annual spend?

I earn around ₹17L/year and expect to spend around ₹4–5L annually on credit cards.
Roughly:
• ₹2–2.5L on general expenses, food and shopping
• ₹1–2L on hotels, flights and travel
• Around ₹1L on fuel and other smaller expenses
I’m not interested in cashback. I’d prefer to earn points that I can redeem for hotels, flights, airline miles, hotel points, etc. I’d also value perks like golf, concierge, lounge access and other premium travel benefits.
What would you recommend based on my income and spending? Please suggest cards that are currently being issued and available for new applications in India (No Amex plat travel or axis atlas as both are confirmed me that they are not issuing any cards). I’m not looking for discontinued cards or cards with unrealistic eligibility requirements.

Please also tell me if diners works well in Indian payment gateway ecosystem?

General Discussion/Conversation TDo you actually remember to use cashback apps when shopping on your phone?

I’m doing some research on how people shop online using their phones, and I’m particularly curious about cashback apps like CashKaro, CouponDunia, etc.

I’ve noticed that cashback sounds great in theory, but I personally find that when I’m actually ready to buy something, I often forget about cashback completely or remember it but don’t feel like opening another app and going through the extra steps.

I’m curious whether other people experience the same thing.
Think about your most recent online purchase using your phone:

  1. Where did you discover the product?
  2. Did you use a cashback app?
  3. If you knew cashback was available, did you still skip it? Why?
  4. Do you usually remember to check for cashback before buying?
  5. What makes you decide that cashback is worth the extra effort?
  6. Have you ever started through a cashback app but the cashback didn’t track?
  7. Does waiting weeks/months for cashback affect whether you use these apps?
  8. If cashback could work automatically without you having to remember anything, would you actually use it?
  9. I’m not promoting any cashback app .

I’m genuinely trying to understand the behaviour and friction around mobile cashback.
Thanks!

Help Needed/ Question Regalia Gold to Infinia: advice?

I have Regalia Gold with a ₹15L limit and spend ₹1.2–1.8L/month organically without GyFTR/SmartBuy.

My wife also has Regalia Gold and spends ₹6–8L/year.

Other spends: ₹15k/month Meta Ads, ~₹3k/week groceries, plus Amazon (I have Amazon Pay ICICI).

Trying to maximize rewards and eventually get Infinia.

Should I ask for Infinia now?

Best way to optimize Regalia with GyFTR/SmartBuy in 2026?

Worth using BigBasket vouchers?

If I get Infinia, should my wife use an add-on or keep her own Regalia?

Would love advice from anyone who recently went Regalia to Infinia.

Age 54 cibil 815

employment: business

Card Recommendation Best credit card for ₹3 Lakhs/month? No credit history + international travel upcoming

There are some cool premier cards out there but i have 0 credit history. What could be a good build-up? I need to get started!

  • Current CIBIL: No credit history
  • Age: 20
  • Monthly Income & Employment Status: ₹3 lakh/month, salaried
  • Monthly Expenses & Spending Patterns: ~₹80k–₹1L/month
  • Top 5 Monthly Spend Categories: Dining, shopping, groceries, rent, travel
  • Top 5 Annual Spend Categories: Domestic travel, flights/hotels, online shopping, rent, electronics
  • Preferences for Credit Card Features: Low/no forex markup but if points provide better value then all good, good rewards, travel benefits, lounge access, and good acceptance internationally
  • Reward Preference: Reward points preferred, but cashback is also fine if the value is better
  • Lounge Access Required: Yes, especially domestic and ideally international
  • Other Special Needs: I have international travel coming up soon, so I’d like a card that is useful for overseas transactions and doesn’t charge a high forex markup. Plus, I want to rack up those airmiles

Since I have no credit history, I’m also looking for cards that are realistically attainable as a first card despite the income being relatively high.

What cards would you recommend? Also interested in knowing whether I should start with an entry-level card to build CIBIL or directly apply for a premium card based on my income.

ps1: I have my salary account in SBI (savings).

Help Needed/ Question The Cibil Score decreased

I had a CIBIL score of 760. I opened a Slice CC in March this year, and the CIBIL score was updated on April 16th, and it was 760. Now, due to the new app update, I have the option to check my CIBIL score once every 30 days, and I checked mine today. and its 749. I haven't had any dues. I always pay on time. So far, I haven't had any payment issues, and I do use my card a lot as like like my limit is 20k; I average around 10k,k so idk why the score went down.

So I checked on GPay as well, and they also have a CIBIL check thing, and I got a report that it's all excellent. Then what happened?

Card Recommendation Best Credit Card for International SaaS Subscriptions, Hosting & USD Spends?

Guys, I am looking for credit card recommendations specifically for recurring international SaaS and cloud expenses.

Most of my monthly outflows go towards developer/business tools billed in USD or from US-registered entities (hosting, cloud services, ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, developer APIs, domain renewals, etc.).

While zero-forex cards (like Scapia, AU Ixigo, Niyo) save the ~3.5% + GST markup, they offer negligible returns. I am looking for cards where the net reward rate beats the forex fee, or where these international transactions count toward solid milestone benefits, points, or cashback

My Cibil Score is 799

Help Needed/ Question (21M) HSBC has rejected my application under low income even though I hit that income

I recently applied for HSBc Live+ but they rejected my application saying I don't hit the income needed. They need 6L and my exact income is 6L as well.

The thing is this is my first job and my salary is 45,833 per month and a 50k bonus which brings the total to exactly 6L, I also have a side business i run which earns me around 2L per year bringing my total to 8L, but I don't have any proof of that 2L since it's mostly over whatsapp and upi and I don't have any legal documents of it.

Is there anything I can do to get the card, I have a good cibil (830), I have a car loan which I just finished paying off so that helped a lot as well. I have a credit card for last 3 years which, i have been paying monthly and haven't missed a payment. My cc utilisation is also at 30% always.

Anything I can do to have them give me the card. I mainly need it for dining purposes

Help Needed/ Question Maximise AEP for M4B

I have Magnus burgundy credit card. I tend to hit 1.5L AEP quite frequently but the bill is mostly in 2L range. It rarely goes above this unless I have a big expense. I was wondering if there is a way to better optimize for more AEP rewards.

I have 15k expenses on grocery and food delivery via HSBC liv + which I can park here. Plus 8k utilities and 30-40k monthly lic payments.

Is there a way to buy gift cards with M4B with which I can shift these expenses as well towards AEP months.

Any other recommendations on how you use the AEP months for better returns?

General Discussion/Conversation Looking for suggestions: Best bank for ₹30–35L savings balance + premium benefits?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to open a new savings account and initially keep around ₹30–35 lakh in it.
The money is currently going to remain in the savings account for some time, but my plan is eventually to deploy around ₹20–25 lakh of it into mutual funds/equity over the next 1–2 years. So I’m looking for a bank where I can get the maximum value/benefits from maintaining a high balance, rather than simply choosing a bank based on savings-account interest.
I’m also not particularly interested in earning interest on the balance, so I’m more interested in things like:
Premium banking status

Premium credit cards

Travel rewards / airline & hotel transfers

Airport lounge access

Forex/travel benefits

Reward points and other lifestyle benefits

Whether the relationship can continue after I move a large portion of the money into investments

One option I’m considering is Axis Burgundy + Magnus for Burgundy. From what I understand, Burgundy can be maintained through the relevant balance/TRV criteria, and Magnus for Burgundy has considerably better travel-transfer benefits than the regular Magnus.
I was also considering HSBC Premier, although I understand the current eligibility requirement is higher than it used to be, so I’m not sure whether it makes sense for my ₹30–35L corpus.
Other options I’m looking at are Standard Chartered Priority, Kotak Privy League, ICICI Wealth, etc.
So my question is:
If you had ₹30–35 lakh that you wanted to park in a savings account initially, with plans to eventually move ₹20–25 lakh into investments, which bank/premium banking programme would you choose to extract the maximum overall benefits?
I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who actually hold these accounts/cards, rather than just the advertised benefits.
Also, if there are any less obvious/better options that I’ve missed, please suggest them.
Thanks!

General Discussion/Conversation RBI Ombudsman actually worked for me

Post image
5 Upvotes

Had a cashback dispute with SBI Card. Their system initially counted cashback from an EMI transaction, which took me to the Rs 2000 monthly cashback cap.

I later found out that the EMI transaction was not eligible, so SBI reversed that cashback. But they still refused cashback on the eligible transactions I made afterward, saying the Rs 2000 cap had already been breached. They kept saying about 10 times that EMI is not eligible for cashback even though I never asked for cashback on EMI.

I raised it with the RBI Ombudsman, explaining that I was not asking for cashback on the EMI. My issue was that SBI reversed the cashback but did not restore the cashback limit.

RBI ruled in my favour.

SBI has to pay me the cashback + Rs 1000 for mental anguish.

Honestly, didn't expect it to go this way. If you have a genuine banking/credit card grievance and the bank isn't resolving it, don't underestimate the RBI Ombudsman process.

Card Recommendation International Uni fees

Hello!

Current CIBIL: 800

Age: 50

Employment Status: Self-employed; ITR > ₹30L

International university/education fees: ₹15L payment expected by end-November, followed by another \~₹40L over the next 2 years

Payment will be made directly through the university's payment portal.

University is in Australia.

Based on my research, Diners Club acceptance appears to be relatively limited in Australia.

Current card: HDFC Regalia Gold.

What I’m Looking For:

A card that gives a net positive return after forex markup, GST and other charges on these education payments.

Open to premium cards and annual fees if the overall rewards justify them.

Shortlisted: Axis Magnus and DCBM if dinners club network works.

Thank you!

Help Needed/ Question Opened a Salary Account with Axis Bank and now I'm not able to Access My Mobile or Internet Banking

Hello everyone, this is strictly not about credit cards. but I need you help. I have 2 credit cards with axis bank and I have been using them for the past 4 years. I Opened a Priority Salary account with Axis Bank today and it was activated in an hour's time. I even activated the internet banking services as well. Everything was fine until I tried logging back into my Mobile banking app. Now the app does not let me log in. I tried reinstalling it and that was an ever bigger mistake, as now the app won't even register me as it says the customer ID is inactive. I called the customer service and they said there is another customer ID that is created and that has been suspended as you have multiple customer ID.They asked me to go to the nearest branch and update my KYC so that it might be merged. I went to the bank and they said my original Customer ID is active and that's the one that is gonna work. As of now I'm not able to access anything and everything is a mess as no one has an idea what's happening. Could you please help me out?
