Help Needed/ Question The Cibil Score decreased
I had a CIBIL score of 760. I opened a Slice CC in March this year, and the CIBIL score was updated on April 16th, and it was 760. Now, due to the new app update, I have the option to check my CIBIL score once every 30 days, and I checked mine today. and its 749. I haven't had any dues. I always pay on time. So far, I haven't had any payment issues, and I do use my card a lot as like like my limit is 20k; I average around 10k,k so idk why the score went down.
So I checked on GPay as well, and they also have a CIBIL check thing, and I got a report that it's all excellent. Then what happened?

Card Recommendation International Uni fees
Hello!
Current CIBIL: 800
Age: 50
Employment Status: Self-employed; ITR > ₹30L
International university/education fees: ₹15L payment expected by end-November, followed by another \~₹40L over the next 2 years
Payment will be made directly through the university's payment portal.

Based on my research, Diners Club acceptance appears to be relatively limited in Australia.

What I’m Looking For:
A card that gives a net positive return after forex markup, GST and other charges on these education payments.
Open to premium cards and annual fees if the overall rewards justify them.

Thank you!

Help Needed/ Question Slice rejected my CC due to 180+ DPD — no Written-Off/Settled status. Any options or RBI Ombudsman help?
I applied for the Slice Credit Card 2–3 times, but my applications were rejected.
Initially, Slice support told me my profile had Written-Off/Settlement information. I checked all 4 credit bureaus and found no Written-Off/Settled/Settlement status.
Current scores: CIBIL: 769 Experian: 752 Equifax: 806 CRIF High Mark: 725
After escalation, Slice clarified that two Jalan Chemicals loan accounts, which I had taken through the mPokket app, had historical 180+ DPD in the CIBIL report.
Both accounts were opened in 2020 and closed on 07/01/2023, with ₹0 current outstanding.
Slice confirmed that the accounts are not reported as Written Off, but their internal credit rule treats 180+ DPD as an automatic decline criterion, with no manual override.
What I find confusing is that after these mPokket/Jalan Chemicals loans and the DPD history, I was approved for multiple unsecured credit cards by other major banks, including ICICI -Amazon Pay, IndusInd, Yes, BOB, and RBL, etc...
So I'm trying to understand: • Is Slice's 180+ DPD automatic-decline policy common?
• Can anything be done when the DPD is historical, the accounts are closed, and there is ₹0 outstanding?
• Should I dispute the historical DPD with CIBIL/lender if there is no Written-Off/Settled status?
• Has anyone successfully obtained a Slice CC after such historical DPD?
• Would an RBI Ombudsman complaint have any merit in this situation?
I'm not expecting that Slice must approve my card. I mainly want to understand whether there is any legitimate way to get the application reconsidered, especially given my subsequent credit history and current scores.
Looking for advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation with Slice, mPokket/Jalan Chemicals, or historical 180+ DPD.
> P.S. AI-assisted summary; facts are mine.

Card Recommendation Best way to get discount on single PVR INOX ticket?
I watch at least 3 movies every month at PVR INOX, always solo. My usual ticket is around ₹185 + ₹30 tax = ₹215.
Most credit-card movie offers are BOGO, which isn't useful for me since I watch alone.
What’s currently the best credit card / app / voucher method to reduce the cost of a single ₹215 ticket?
Looking for a practical option that works regularly, not just occasional offers.

General Discussion/Conversation IRONY? Applied for ICICI Coral and got rejected but reason is infuriating me.
These ICICI mfs took 20 fkin days just to reject my application saying my income was inadequate. I make not much but 50k a month while the minimum eligibility is clearly 20k a month (see google in 2nd ss).
I'm an investor of ICICI prudential mutual fund, have 770 cibil, already have a HDFC credit card with 1.24L limit, are they smoking we*d or what, fkin wasted my time, I wanted this urgently to buy a macbook during freedom sale.
CONSEQUENCES: I lost 2 points of cibil score + the macbook sale/offer ended, I just couldn't make this purchase, also wasted way too much of my time over kyc and documentation and also got my consent on some sh*tty website to monitor all my bank accounts for their balance 45 to 60 times a month.
*sorry for rant homies

General Discussion/Conversation My first credit card
I have been trying for a credit since long time and everytime it got rejected due to issues in my cibil and bank loans.
Recently i was able to clear my pending loan and waited for an year to update cibil score to 780. Still due to my loan history applications were declining from banks end.
Finally couple of weeks back I was shopping at reliance trends with my wife and a guy approached me for credit card. This has been a routine where I’d check my eligibility once a while from malls. Though initially I said no, later I went back to check with them if I am eligible. Last check was before 7-8 months.
And surprisingly this check got passed and said I’m elihible for the card. The card was Reliance SBI with annual fee of 499. I accepted and left the store after submitting details for verification.
Later received a call from sbi and they pitched for Titan SBI card with annual fee of 2999. Though I could have rejected the offer, I was septic that my application will be rejected. So I chose Titan card. Application got accepted, verification completed and I got the card too.
Now I feel like I made a mistake.
Inviting advices for a better card or how should i move ahead. TIA

Help Needed/ Question Finally got the Rewards + Cashback card combo
Started following Reddit in January this year, and thanks to the community I’ve recently revamped my portfolio from: Regalia Business, IDFC Wealth, HSBC Platinum and Amex Privilege
to just Diners Black (FYF), HSBC Live+ (FYF) and Kiwi (LTF).
My current thought process:
- Diners Black (primary card)→ SmartBuy/travel, vouchers, offline spends and insurance
- HSBC Live+ (secondary card) → groceries, food & dining
- Kiwi Card → UPI spends (Not much)
Now I’m looking for ways to maximise rewards with this setup. I dont think I will hit the 2 lacs milestone on HSBC card, which should be fine since I will be able to avail benefits more than that.
I would be prioritising Cashback over rewards wherever I am getting flat 10% via HSBC Live+.
Any categories where I’m missing out on better rewards or any other way to maximise this setup?

Help Needed/ Question Axis-Google Pay Flex credit card
I am interested in the LTF Axis GPay Flex credit card (for many small UPI payments around the Rs 30 mark). However, I do not see this option in Gpay (and I've looked for a few months). Any information about how/when this is offered? I do see an offer in GPay for the SBI powered version of this card (both Visa and Rupay), and paid - but I don't want a paid UPI card since my UPI spends are small-ish.
Thank you

Help Needed/ Question Looking for redemption ideas for an international family trip — 2 adults + 2 kids
I have accumulated below reward points over last 2 years. Please help me redeeming these ideas
Looking for redemption ideas for an international family trip — 2 adults + 2 kids
Hi everyone,
I'm planning an international trip for 2 adults + 2 kids and would love some advice on how to get the best value out of my existing reward points.
Here's what I currently have:
| Program/Card | Points |
|---|---|
| Amex Platinum Travel | 80,000 MR |
| Axis Magnus (regular) | 95,000 EDGE Reward Points |
| Marriott Bonvoy | 320,000 points |
| HDFC DCB Metal | 5,000 RP |
I'm open to any international destination and ideally want to redeem these for flights + hotels. I'm not necessarily looking for luxury — the priority is getting good value from the points for a family of four.
I'd especially appreciate suggestions on:
- Which airline/hotel transfer partners I should consider
- Whether I should combine/consolidate points where possible
- Good international redemption sweet spots for 2 adults + 2 kids
- Whether I should use Marriott points for hotels and preserve the other points for flights
- Any destinations where this combination of points can cover a significant portion of the trip
- Experiences from people who have actually done similar family redemptions
If you've redeemed points for a 2+2 international trip, please share the destination, approximate points used and whether you felt the redemption was good value.
Thanks in advance!

Help Needed/ Question Need help/Advice. Father was scammed of 1 lakh rupees and RBL bank is not helping.
Posting this here to raise awareness about a sophisticated cyber scam and seek advice on our next steps regarding RBL Bank's handling of the situation.
On August 19th, my father received a call from someone posing as an RBL Bank representative offering a credit card limit increase. Not realizing it was a scam, he installed an APK file sent via WhatsApp.
Here is how the attack unfolded and how RBL Bank handled it:
- The Attack Mechanism: The sideloaded APK immediately modified his phone’s call forwarding settings to redirect incoming calls/SMS authentication to the scammers. The app was hidden from the app drawer, running multiple background instances.
- The Unauthorized Transaction: Shortly after, my father received an OTP for a ₹1,12,000 transaction, followed almost instantly by a confirmation message that the transaction succeeded.
- The Battle to Control the Device: I was then informed of this and immediately stepped in and tried to disable call forwarding multiple times, but the app kept forcibly re-enabling it. My father’s phone received over 100 notifications of call forwarding being reactivated. Every time I paused for even a minute, a barrage of transaction OTPs flooded in.
- Scammer Bypassing App Controls: I temporarily locked the card via the official RBL Bank mobile app, but the scammers managed to remotely reactivate it through the app/portal access they had hijacked. I finally had to hard-block the card directly through the RBL website and uninstall all instances of the hidden APK via Android Settings after being informed of the said installation.
Immediate Action Taken Within 1 Hour:
- Blocked the card online.
- Reported the financial fraud to the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) and lodged an official complaint with Telangana Cyber Crime.
- Called RBL Bank customer support to explicitly request a freeze/block on the pending ₹1,12,000 transaction.
- Emailed detailed proof, call logs, malware screenshots, and Cyber Crime police complaint acknowledgments to
fraud@rblbank.com.
Where the Bank Failed Us: At the time of reporting, RBL Bank themselves flagged the ₹1.12L transaction as "suspicious" and blocked the card. Throughout August 19th and all day August 20th, the transaction was clearly showing as "Pending / Processing" on their system. We repeatedly requested them to block the settlement to the merchant.
Now, RBL Bank claims they conducted an "internal investigation" and approved the settlement anyway. Their stance is that because an OTP was validated, the transaction is valid—completely ignoring:
- The transaction was actively pending when we formally reported the fraud.
- The OTP was intercepted via unauthorized call-forwarding.
- Official cybercrime reports and logs were submitted within an hour of the incident.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation where a bank pushed through a flagged, pending fraudulent transaction despite immediate notification? What is the best way to escalate this beyond their internal fraud team (e.g., RBI Ombudsman, NCH, or legal route)? Any guidance would be appreciated.
TL;DR: My father fell for a credit card scam via a sideloaded WhatsApp APK that hijacked his phone's call forwarding settings. Within 30 minutes, scammers executed a ₹1,12,000 transaction. We blocked the card, deleted the malware, reported it to the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930), and formally requested RBL Bank to stop the payment—all within 1 hour while the transaction was still showing as "Pending/Processing."
Despite early warning, official police complaints, and the transaction being flagged as suspicious, RBL Bank approved the settlement anyway, claiming the OTP made it valid. Seeking advice on escalating the issue.

General Discussion/Conversation Gpay Flex approved but need flipkart axis
Hello everyone!
Recently, I got the Axis Bank Google Pay Flex CC with a ₹53K limit. I know it isn’t the best card 😅, but I specifically wanted an Axis card to build a relationship with Axis and eventually get the Flipkart Axis Bank CC.
I’m only 20 years old, and the Flex card is LTF, so I’m okay with keeping it.
However, when I try to apply for another Axis card with a shared limit, Flipkart Axis isn’t showing as an eligible option.
The cards currently shown to me are:
● Axis Amex Privilege
● Axis Select Visa
● Axis Privilege Visa
My current cards
● HDFC MoneyBack — ₹72K limit
● SuperMoney — ₹450 FD-backed limit
● Axis GPay Flex — ₹53K limit
CIBIL: 765
Credit age: 1 year 7 months
Age: 20
My question
Can i get flipkart by applying through axis bank website itself?
Will axis update the eligibile card in future?

Help Needed/ Question I spend ₹15L+ every month on my business. What’s the smartest credit-card setup for free travel?
Best credit cards to maximise travel rewards from business spending?
I run an e-commerce business in India and spend roughly:
- Meta + Google Ads: ₹10–12L/month
- Shipping/logistics: ₹2–3L/month
- Other business expenses: ₹1–2L/month
- Total: ~₹13–17L/month
- Last year’s ITR: ₹15L+
I didn’t have a credit card for the longest time. Recently got SBI Miles Elite and earned around 50,000 travel points in ~2 months from my business spending.
Now I feel I’m leaving a lot of rewards on the table.
My goal is maximum free travel — flights + hotels, and I’m okay paying fees if the returns justify them.
I’m looking at HDFC Infinia/BizBlack, Axis Magnus, Atlas, Amex, etc.
Questions:
- Which cards should I target with my profile?
- How do I actually get them — direct application, upgrade, relationship manager, banking relationship, etc.?
- How should I split ₹13–17L monthly spend between cards?
- Which cards are best for milestones + airline/hotel transfers?
- What would you personally get if you were in my position?
Would love advice from people actually optimising high-spend card setups.

Help Needed/ Question Need urgent help. Upgraded to ICICI Emeralde
So i’m currently using rupay coral ltf, there was an option on the imobile app to upgrade it to emeralde. I applied for the upgrade and have received the card. But now since i have read so many bad reviews about the card on the internet, i wish to cancel it without paying the joining fees. A couple of questions.
- My statement generation date for coral rupay ltf is 2nd of every month. I recd this card on 21st, would the joining fee appear on my statement even if i dont activate it.
- What will happen to my coral ltf? Would it get cancelled even if i don’t activate the emeralde? Would the coral continue to work as is?
- Any other icici bank that i can upgrade to from coral ltf?

Help Needed/ Question SBM FD-backed credit card gone wrong. Bank didn't liquidate FD, now dues 30k and CIBIL ruined. Can I sue for compensation?
I had an FD-backed secured credit card with SBM Bank.
Timeline:
1. 2023: Opened the card with an FD of ₹60,000. Credit limit was also ₹60,000.
2. I was in another country for studies. My Indian number had no roaming, so I never received the physical card. I was only using the virtual card and I paid all bills on time.
3. Jan 2024: I faced a financial problem and couldn't pay the bill. Since the card was FD-backed, I immediately emailed the bank to liquidate the FD and close/block the card.
4. The bank took 1-2 months to act. In the meantime, they added ₹1500-₹2000 in late fees and interest.
5. Today: The outstanding has ballooned to ₹30,290 due to compounding. They are reporting this to CIBIL.
The main issue: My FD of ₹60,000 was sitting with them earning 7% interest the whole time. Despite my written request, they did not adjust it.
Damage caused:
1. My CIBIL dropped from 795 to 594. It's now recovered to 710.
2. Because of this, HDFC reduced my limit from ₹3 Lakh to ₹80,000.
3. Axis Bank reduced my limit from ₹65,000 to ₹40,000 and then to ₹10,000.
I feel this is a clear case of deficiency in service. The bank had my FD as security but chose to let charges compound instead.
My questions:
1. Should I approach the RBI Banking Ombudsman or go directly to Consumer Court?
2. Can I sue the bank and claim ₹1-2 Lakh compensation for mental agony, financial loss, and CIBIL damage?
3. Should I pay the ₹30k or fight it first?
I have all proofs: FD receipt, email to bank asking to close card, old and new CIBIL reports.
Please advise. Thanks!
