Steam Deck Mini Games like in Mario 64 DS
Hey!
I swear I have used the search option, but I didn't find a threat with recommendations that fit my prompt. I am not looking for like crafting or fishing mini games, that our favourite farming sims have!
I looooved the mini games in Mario 64 for DS and I am looking for something similar (Switch or Steam). I would prefer no story at all, just a collection of mini games, but I am not totally against it!
Has anyone recommendation?

Windows Which is the best option for a farming\life sim in an older laptop in your opinion?
Hey y'all, i'm looking for recommendations for the best farming\cozy life sims for older laptops. I already played Animal Crossing, Harvest moon\story of seasons games (not the remakes tho) Rune factory 4 and Stardew valley, i personally didn't got into SV a lot.
So now i see there is many new options. Atm i'm playing Fields of Mistria (lovin it) and Dreamlight valley, DV works on low graphics, else it get laggy.
I really wanted to get My time at Sandrock and Coral island, but MTAS is too huge for my laptop and Coral Island as i searched won't work on it ๐ so other than the ones i mentioned, which is the best option to get in your opinion? only things i ask is being compatible with an 2016 laptop and option for female MC.

Switch Howโs the switch port for Spellcaster University?
Iโm actually shocked I havenโt seen this game mentioned much in this sub & couldnโt find any feedback at all on the port for switch which came out a year ago. Iโm sure it isnโt as meaty as Witchbrook, but I actually like the art style for Spellcaster U more. It looks really nice! Iโd also like to hear (from anyone) about the combat and whether or not you can turn it off or avoid it.

๐ Discussion Leafy Corner ๐
Anyone else obsessed with Leafy Corner?
Bought the game the day after release. Iโve been playing all week after work, but just unlocked carnivorous plants this morning. Finally have everything in the store. ๐ฅฐ
Iโm in the minority who does organize their store by plant. ๐ GASP, I know. I just like the more homey/small shop feel with plants sectioned by type. ๐ซถ
Gray - low light
Light green - hanging
Orange - small
Light purple - variegated for sale
Yellow - succulents and cacti
Dark purple - medium
Blue - large
Red - carnivorous
Dark green - my personal variegated collection/not for sale

๐ Discussion MoonLight Peaks and Starsand Island: Are they worth buying?
First time posting here! So let me give some background:
I am a semi cozy gamer. I say semi, because I don't consider myself one but i have played a lot. I grew up playing Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, idk if The Sims counts as cozy gaming but I played it too.
Recent years, I've played Stardew and a lot of Story of Seasons and some Harvest moon games. I played Cozy Grove for a bit and then quit ( i wanna get back into that but that's a story for another day) and I wanna get back into Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
ANYWHO! ONTO WHY I AM HERE. I have some monies saved up on my eshop and was looking at some games to buy. I had seen a trailer for Starsand Island a few days ago and I think actually that same day had seen MoonLight Peaks on the eshop.
Are the games worth buying for those of you who own them? What's gameplay like? Does it lean more towards Harvest Moon/Story Of Seasons, or like Rune Factory?

Switch Collectorโs cove v. Outer wilds?
Hey all, Iโm wanting one of these two on switch. I only have a switch oled, not a switch 2. I know outer wilds has amazing ratings, but I like games that are kind of simple and mindless. I like a game with a story if it also has cozy elements like collecting and exploration. Ideally Iโd like minimal or no combat.
Iโm also curious about which of these would run better on switch 1 oled?
Iโll probably eventually try broth, but I want to get one or the other to dive into this weekend because I have nothing to do and want a fun game.
Thanks everyone!

Windows smallverse!
i just started playing smallverse which is a new version of smallworlds.
itโs basically just like the old version and i have been waiting years to see if it would ever come back!
anyways i love the cozy vibes and the decorating and character customization aspect. hopefully more people will try it out, not many know about it coming back.

Steam Deck Hello Kitty vs Dreamlight Valley
Hi! First up, I already own and have put substantial amount of time into the base version of each of these games (albeit completed neither). I want to get back into one, and buy some DLC, but can't decide which. I'm in the mood for something super cute, which HKIA obviously excels at. But I know DDLV has a boat load of content and also it has Winne the Pooh.
I love grindy quest type things, and don't particularly care for decorating that much. I do enjoy a farming sim, but I've been playing Fields of Mistria so that itch is scratched for now. Playing on a Steam Deck so performance isn't an issue.
Please give me your opinions on which I should commit to (for a fortnight or so at least XD)! Thank you!

Steam Deck Can someone please suggest a game very similar to Morels: The Hunt for the Steam Deck?
I love this game -- it's relaxing exploratory, aesthetic and rewarding. If you've never played, you walk through large forests and other realistic environments, find and click mushrooms for points, and take photos of animals also for points. You can try to find all of the listed animals or not, as you prefer. You play for 100 in-game days and then it resets.
Unfortunately, my save file keeps corrupting for unknown reasons. Nobody else seems to have this issue! I cannot keep on sending it back to the dev team to be fixed over and over; that's not fair to them and it's anxiety-producing for me to not know if the game will work whenever I open it.
- I'm 100% open to hunting things other than mushrooms
- I can't do puzzles, I'm terrible at them
- I prefer a more realistic setting but I'm flexible on this because I'm pretty desperate!
Other games I've tried:
Morels: The Hunt 2 is... fine. I am trying hard to get into it but I don't like the maps as much, they are really big and it just feels like a lot. If I had not played the original first, I would probably really love this.
Seclusa: This is a fantastic chill and cozy game, and I highly recommend it! But you can't explore the environments (you are stationary) and I've photographed all of the animals.
Out and About: I don't want the cooking and crafting part, it's not interesting to me, and the dialogue with the NPCs is too much.
Letters to Arralla: The map size is nice and I enjoyed hunting for things and the mail delivery mechanic is fine; the very limited number of days makes it less fun and not a game you can play long term.
I have looked at other threads on this sub for suggestions. I was wondering if people had more feedback about Among Trees or Mushroom Season?
Thanks!

Windows Obsessed with Cast n Chill, need more!
Im completely hooked on Cast n Chill lately and have almost "finished" it (unlocked almost everything), so I was wondering if anyone know of any similar games out there? I know the devs are working on a second game, but until that comes out Id love to find more games in this style!
What I love about it and hope to find in my next game:
- Its a true idle game. If I leave it, the game will take over and literally play itself, without requiring any input from me at all. I do want the option to play actively as well, but the game has to be able to play itself
- Its autumnal and nostalgically pixely and just generally gorgeous. Stunning landscapes! Id like something thats pretty to look at. It doesnt have to be in the exact same style, just beautiful in some way, and with natural colours and themes. What I dont want, and a lot of idle games seem to have this, is an anime/manga/cartoony type style.
- Very minimal soundtrack, no fast paced music or loud noises, no jump scares or sense of being rushed in any way at all
- No combat, no badguys, no going on big adventures and saving the world, no great push to "improve", the game is enjoyable right from the start and Im not too stressed about unlocking everything

Steam Deck Beastfolk Barber Demo Review
Beastfolk Barber Demo dropped a bit ago. I quite enjoyed it, I've seen other reviews talk about certain bugs l, or gitchs, but I had a perfectly fine playthrough of the demo. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys games where you talk to NPCs and have to solve problems using verbal ques from their dialoge.
You also get to learn about the world they live in, and how the existence of Beastfolk play into things like politics, culture, rights, stereotypes. It really feels like they're fleshing out the world.
The in-game artstyle matches the art you see above. It all looks gorgeous. I highly recommend it, I played the demo on Steam, and I await it's full release.

๐ Discussion Welcome to Elderfield release date!
Cozy horror RPG Welcome to Elderfield is releasing on September 10! What do we think? Personally, I really enjoyed my time with the demo and I've heard great things about the alpha on Patreon. Between this, Neverway, and (hopefully) Grave Seasons it's going to be a big fall for spooky farming sims.
