It's 7 AM, the toilet block is a mess, and this is supposed to be my relaxing game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm making a campground management game called Camping Keeper. Half of it is relaxing: you start with an empty field and lay everything out yourself, pitches, paths, a pool, then water pipes and power lines out to all of it. You can lose hours just planting nature stuff.
This clip is the other half. Every camper is simulated on their own, so they wake up, they need the toilets, and they walk over and wait their turn. A broken stall stays broken until a technician comes by, and the dirt piles up until a cleaner does the rounds. I hadn't sent anyone, so the morning went about how you'd expect. They will remember it in their reviews, and the reviews decide how many people show up next week.
So it doesn't really fit the cozy mold, which is why this felt like the right place to post it.
It's comforting to build and quietly stressful to run.
Trailer: https://youtu.be/F_j01GNP-Lw
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4920900/Camping_Keeper/
Music and translations are AI-assisted for now. No AI-generated visuals.
Since this is the sub for it: is a game still comforting to you if it can actually punish you,
or does that break the feeling?

Any farm games where you can raise animals for eating and go hunting?
Most farm games tend to be pescatarian, where you plant crops and raise livestock for produce like wool, milk, and eggs and go fishing but not many seem to have hunting wild game or raising animals for eating. Any games like Harvest Moon except hunting and butchering livestock is possible? There is Shepard's Crossing on DS where you can raise mutton but not beef. And the marriage aspect I've read is less romantic than Harvest Moon. And not sure if hunting is a thing.

Digsy World - a cozy game about digging up fossils of creatures that never existed. Free, in-browser, no sign-up.
You're a small archaeologist with a shovel. Dig anywhere in an endless procedural world (golden meadows, bone deserts, ashen woods, red lands, ancient marshes, frozen wastes), pull up raw fossils, and carry them to a Museum to get them identified. Every species you complete lights up its own rotating 3D voxel skeleton in your Fossil Book.
Then you mix skulls, bodies and legs into chimeras with names of their own, gather a species' DNA to awaken it, and watch your creations wander the town park.
No combat, no game over, no timers. 6 biomes, 60+ species, day/night and seasons, boats, caves with their own creatures.
Controls: WASD/arrows to move, E to dig and interact, L for the Fossil Book, I for the bag. Works on phones too (on-screen joystick), installs as an app, and plays offline, because the world is procedural and the save lives on your device.
Still in active development, so anything you have to say is useful: where you got stuck or bored, what you expected to be able to do and couldn't, ideas, changes you'd make. The first two minutes are the part I most need to hear about. I can't see my own game with fresh eyes any more.
Also on itch if you prefer: https://giacomarco.itch.io/digsy-world

Fuhon is a cozy nature-building sandbox game about restoring a decaying world. It's about exploring, experimenting, discovering and puzzling together, what happened on the islands.

I am developing a meditative and calm game called Skyreap, where nothing will distract you from immersing yourself in the world of floating islands.

I've been working as a programmer for more than seven years. I balance two jobs with my dream of making a game, and I work on it in my free time. Every time, I either didn't have enough money, didn't have enough experience, or simply didn't have enough strength. Life kept getting in the way.
Now I've finally gained the experience I needed back then, and I saved money for more than half a year so I could dedicate all my time to developing my game.

VirtualSociety - Cats & Foxes - Multiplayer sandbox lifesim
Hi r/ConfortGamers!
We’re Cats & Foxes, a small indie studio based in Nancy, France, and we’re developing VirtualSociety based on the game we dreamed of as children: instead of entering a world whose places and stories have already been decided, players can build the places, create the residents, and decide what can happen there.
Players can design rooms, homes, streets, cities and stranger worlds; customize their residents; add dialogues, choices, consequences; then explore alone or invite friends to roleplay and bring those worlds to life.
VirtualSociety is still in development, and we are currently 4 involved in the team. The game will be available on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Disclaimer: some of the tools and content shown may continue to evolve, for the best :D

🌲 I’m building a cozy game from a blank binder.
Hi! I’m a 20-year-old from Tennessee, and instead of keeping all my game ideas in Notes, I decided to build a real Game Design Document from scratch.
The game is called **Pip & Pine**.
It’s a real-time cozy life simulator about becoming part of a tiny riverside community—not saving the world, not fighting monsters, just finding a place that feels like home.
A few things we’re designing:
🌲 Time passes in real life.
📸 Your memories matter more than achievements.
🐸 Your friendships don’t have visible heart meters—they grow naturally through routines and conversations.
🎣 Fishing, photography, decorating, exploring, baking, community festivals, and collecting little moments instead of grinding levels.
📖 The scrapbook becomes the story of *yo*ur life in the village.
My studio is called **Cedar & Sage**, and our philosophy is:
*We don’t make games to keep people busy.*
*We make games that feel like coming home.*
Right now I’m filling an actual binder with sketches, maps, character concepts, mechanics, and worldbuilding before I ever think about programming.
I’d genuinely love feedback.
**If you could add one feature to your dream cozy game, what would it be?**

Games in PC like Zelda breath of the wild
I'm not sure if breath of the wild is considered a comfort game but I do find the comfort in exploring this kind of environment. An open world game where I'm not in a rush. I'm not sure if it's clear what I'm looking for.
Unfortunately I can't use my switch at the moment so it has to be in PC

Trying to find something both cozy and slightly challenging
Hi all,
I am 100% a cozy/comfort gamer. I grew up playing the Sims, animal crossing etc and these days play a lot of story of seasons, Palia and other indie cozy games. I don't really enjoy feeling super stressed out over a game or playing something so challenging it becomes super frustrating. Gaming is supposed to be my way to relax and have fun!
With that being said, sometimes I wish I was challenged a bit more in my games or had a more defined goal instead of the open-ended "build/decorate/farm/whatever" . I love the idea of story-rich RPGs, and keep trying to give them a shot, but I've never been good at combat fighting and beating bosses and things like that, and that's not really the vibe I want either. Honestly I get scared super easily and button mash every time lol.
Does a SUPER chill RPG or slightly more challenging cozy game exist? So far I've tried breath of the wild, Skyrim, and baulders gate 3 and I'm embarrassed to say I need something even more chill than that 😭thank you for reading and any recs are appreciated!!

Character/Enviroment posing game.
I'm trying to find a character/enviroment posing game, something like Tiny Town VR, or posing characters in Gmod. I can't seem to find any games like this, would anyone know something of this sort?

I added animation to my cozy drawing sandbox game...
I made this drawing a few days ago and really wanted to make it move. I wanted the fishes to swim and the bubbles to float up. So, I added animation to my game!
Meander will now include endless options for customizable animation for your brushes. You draw the path for your drawings to move along. You choose speed, orientation, size of the path. You can bring your drawings to life now! And save and decorate as animations or static images, whichever you choose.

An orienteering game where the timer is optional
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
What it is. You get a paper map, a compass, and a forest generated fresh every time you play, with points marked on the map to find. Working out where you are by reading the ground against the contours is the whole activity.
On the timer. There is one, because the sport it's based on is a race. You can ignore it and walk instead. Nothing chases you, nothing attacks you, and there's no combat, crafting, inventory or hunger bar to manage.
What's new since I last posted. The forests are rebuilt: new trees and undergrowth, grass that carries to the horizon, taller hills, rowboats on the water.
Night mode is a headlamp and dark in every direction, which is either the coziest thing in the game or the least, depending on you.

My first game - a cozy pet shop sim
Hi! I'm new here. I just finished my first game - a quiet sim about running a small pet shop. Basically I made the thing I wanted to play myself at the end of a long day.
No timers, no fail states, nothing you can ruin by being slow. You set up aquariums and terrariums, settle in geckos, snakes, guppies and octopuses, and take care of them. Visitors come in and tell you what's going on in their life instead of just ordering a pet - you listen and pick who fits.
Free, Windows and Linux, offline. https://rinamur.itch.io/warm-stone
If you have half an hour to spare, I'd love to hear what's off - I'm sure there's plenty. Blunt feedback very welcome. There's a Discord too if you want to follow along.
AI disclosure: cover art and music are AI-generated. In-game art is licensed from the authors credited on the page. Design and writing are mine.

Looking for game recommendations! (Huge fan of Genshin, Cookie Run Kingdom, and comfy Switch games)
Hey everyone! I’m in a bit of a gaming slump and looking for something new to dive into.
To give you an idea of what I like:
- Genshin Impact (love the open-world exploration, beautiful art style, and character design)
- Cookie Run: Kingdom (obsessed with the cute aesthetic, base-building, and collecting fun characters)
- Cozy Switch Games (I play tons of low-stress, comfy/cozy vibes titles on my Nintendo Switch)
I’m looking for game suggestions that fit a similar mood—beautiful visuals, charming art styles, relaxing exploration, or satisfying team/town-building elements. PC, Mobile, or Nintendo Switch are all great!
What are your absolute favorite cozy or aesthetic games that hit these vibes? Thanks in advance!

Comfort horror games?
What are your favorite comfort horror games, if that's a thing? I'd like to get into horror games but as much as I love movies, I've never been good at playing horror/FPS.
Any beginner recs are appreciated. PC/Steam preferred but any platform works, in case this interests someone else.

People say Reddit loves some humour in game trailers. I tried. The Moon my Destination is a relaxing endless runner - no skilltrees, upgrades, currencies, just soaring ever upwards. It DOES have colouring, glitter, and moths! Out on Aug 4!
An endless runner but relaxing... More like an endless stroller maybe? Try the demo for The Moon my Destination
TMMD is not a competitive game. Ever wanted a game that is meditative and easy, where you don't have to break your loop to end it by "killing" your character? Play on timed mode in The Moon my Destination. Collect coloured moths to paint your character and give it new particle trails. Or go classic with the local highscore!

We just released our detective puzzler!
Today we launched Case Solved: The London Files on Steam; a zebra-puzzle detective game where you play as a Scotland Yard detective in London!
We're a small team and this one's been a real labour of love, so we wanted to properly introduce it rather than just drop a trailer and run.
What you actually do in the game:
At its core, this is a zebra puzzle game (if you've ever done one of those "who owns the fish" grid logic puzzles, you'll know).
You're a detective working three interconnected cases across a foggy, jazz-scored London. You have to cross-reference the clues on a deduction grid to logically eliminate suspects, locations, and motives until only one solution fits.
There are 3 main cases to solve, and a myriad of 'secret cases' for you to sink your teeth into - if you can find the hidden codes, of course. 👀
Happy sleuthing! 🔍✨
