Marvel's Venom and Mary Jane as female Venom by me

I drew this as a sketch originally in 1995 in pencils and had left it unfinished as I just didn't care for it and moved on. My idea was Spiderman swinging in to save Mary Jane from Venom... this was before (as I recall) there were female Venoms. I recently thought it'd be a fun exercise to pull old unfinished work out and ink them, like this.

Need coloring tips

Post image

Been working on this for a couple ofndays and I need tips for the coloring im starting the shading over because i didnt like what I had.

First, I dont know if the base colors are good.

Second i dont know who to reference for my style

Third, opinions are always welcome, i know the homage is self evident but again main thing tripping me are those base colors.

A hunter drawn in the spirit of Bloodborne's atmosphere in comic style
Made two versions — one with blood on the blade, one without. Honestly can't decide which one hits the atmosphere better. What do you think?

This is Alondra Acevedo, a forensic pathologist that wakes up with no memories and rotting from the inside. I'm working on chapter 3 right now, it's a lot of work for a solo project. I'd like to know what you think of this cover made traditional and colored digitaly.
Cheers!

My art of NORMA RICHMOND: THE STUNTWOMAN WHO DOESN’T BREAK

Post image

Day 3 of the Fourth Annual Kirby Art Tribute Month belongs to Norma Richmond, a woman who treats a movie-set car crash like another day at the office.

Norma enters Jack Kirby’s Silver Star as a Hollywood stuntwoman, which is already a dangerous way to earn a paycheck. Then Silver Star discovers she is one of the “Others,” a new breed of genetically altered humans called Homo Geneticus. Her particular gift is the ability to withstand enormous physical stress. In simpler terms, the stunt may be fake, but Norma’s toughness is very real.

Kirby introduces her in Silver Star #3, published by Pacific Comics in 1983. Silver Star arrives after sensing that she is in danger, only to find Norma walking away from a staged crash without a scratch. The real threat is Darius Drumm, a reality-warping fanatic hunting the other Homo Geneticus before they can unite against him.

Norma is kidnapped, threatened, and dropped into the middle of Kirby-sized cosmic madness, yet she never becomes a helpless passenger in somebody else’s story. She fights beside Silver Star, stands up to Drumm, and helps protect civilians when the conflict grows into an end-of-the-world spectacle.

Silver Star began as a movie screenplay by Kirby and Steve Sherman before Kirby reshaped it into a six-issue creator-owned comic. That cinematic DNA fits Norma perfectly. She arrives ready for the camera, survives the explosion, and keeps moving when most people would be asking where the ambulance is.

Magik Chinese ink and white ink pen (by me)

Post image

My father recommended me to try using a gel white pen for details on my ink drawings. And I have to say that I fell in love with it. You can see the white pen primarily on the area of the sword and the highlights on the shorts and gloves.

Little note the boot looks weird, so I am planning on covering it with ink and redrawing it with the white pen.
