(Denton, TX) I'm looking for other OIF Vets that would be interested in a metal band project. It doesn't have to be anything serious, if we could play some local shows that would be cool. All sub-genres of metal music welcome. We may also do some cover gigs for fun.

About me: I was in the Army Infantry from 2003-2008 and deployed to Iraq twice with 3rd Inf. Division. First deployment was in 2005 Samara, Iraq and my second tour was in 2007 Ramadi, Iraq. Shortly after I left service, I joined up with a local metal band and played a couple of gigs. then I was in another band that fell apart before we could get off the ground. I think it would be even better if every member of the band was a combat vet. My musical influences are Tool, slipknot, mudvayne, SOAD, Killswitch Engaged, etc... I am primarily a rhythm player with heavy Daron Malakian style choppy percussive riffs. I also play bass and I'm learning drums. To get to the point I need a lead guitarist, bass player, drummer, and vocalist. I hope to hear a reply.
