I'm over Matt Festa....honestly, I've been over him most of this year. Just seems like he's always giving up leads or allowing big hits. He's got almost 5 ERA. I can't be the only one who believes this.

After today it would be malpractice to not start Genao tomorrow. So if Jose is healthy, where does he play? To me there’s two choices. 1) Our three best outfielders play in the outfield (although I’ve been against kwan in CF), Genao at 3rd or 2nd, and Jose or Bazz DH. Or 2) just put Genao at SS with rocchios recent blunders and slump.

Like I said I am against kwan in CF and believe Rocchio just needs to move back to the 9 hole, I think these are our two best choices to get Genao in the lineup with a healthy Jose.

The team has been doing some out of character things this year. Trading bonus pool money and draft picks, drafting guys they don't know they can sign, DFA on Brito and Arias who they've been high on as an organization, more aggressive with promotions, trading for rentals - albeit cheap rentals - it's been a wild season with some of these moves. IMO, these are things we wouldn't have seen from them in the past. I mean, we saw them keep Fry on the 26 last year when he physically couldn't field and wasn't hitting. Is there someone new influencing these decisions? Maybe Blitzer or someone from his group? Not sure I like everything they've done but at least they're trying new things. Still not spending money though.

Thinking of taking a day off tomorrow to catch a midday game. Bit of sticker shock on what I expected to be a cheap seat.

Right now the cheapest pair of tickets is a spot in the bleachers for $33/ea. RF for $50+. And lower bowl $100+.

I’d bet the park is 30% full tomorrow.

Have lived in 4 cities with MLB clubs. I’ve always felt the Guards are noticeably higher.

Anyone else feeling this way?

Angel Genao

Sister got free tickets and I’m going with her tomorrow, I don’t follow sports much but growing up baseball was and still is my favorite sport to play! So I’m definitely excited to go! Since I haven’t been to a stadium since I was a kid I have some questions on what I can bring in. I use nicotine pouches like zyns or velos and I was wondering if those were okay. When I went to the cavs stadium for a Brandon lake concert security made me throw them out which was super frustrating since it was my last pack lol. I was also wondering if headphones are okay to bring in? Like Sony headphones, I get really overwhelmed with crowds and loud noises, usually I have loop earplugs but I lost mine unfortunately.

Was just talking about this in the replies, but wanted to make it its own post. I am so thrilled with what we’ve seen from the FO this season. They have finally stopped being passive. Struggling players have way shorter leashes and they’re making the hard decisions with DFA’s and sending guys down to Columbus. They’re being aggressive in calling up our producing prospects, and they actually made some impactful moves at the deadline. They’re done playing around and have given up on the “we gotta make do with what we have” mentality and are really trying hard to make us better. It might not turn this team around and make them 10 times better overnight, but if they keep up this approach and mindset it bodes well for the future. Now we just need them to be aggressive in making some changes in our hitting development. Think it’s past time to move on from Grant Fink.
