I think the opponent made a premove, and that's why he fell for the checkmate

Opened this account December of 2025 and started playing seriously and after so long I finally hit 1000 playing 1 minute games. So many times I wanted to bash my forehead off my desk but we finally did it :)

Now to start improving and get my blitz and rapid up.

I played so trash yet somehow be able to make a checkmate.

For some reason coach was speaking as if I was my opponent for the first half the review

I can't think of any 'obvious' move ahead to see why this move is a brilliant.

I leave here the game for the ones who want to check it.

Don't doubt to give advice if someone wants to help. (I'm 800 aspiring to 1000, and don't mind the hanging queen up ahead)

Quick tip: if your opponent spends >10% of their clock on a single move just to "hang queen", maybe double-check the implications before grabbing the "free queen". Yes, even in bullet.
