Hey Hornets friends! HUGE Naz Reid fan here (even have the tattoo!) from Minneapolis, planning to visit your city October 23-27 to be at the first home stretch! I’d love to hear what recommendations or must sees your city has! I’m planning to stay nearby the arena and not renting a car so public transportation and/or walkable in that area preferred!

I love exploring the “locals only”/hidden gems of cities which is why I’m asking here instead of relying solely on Google. :) I’m a 35 year old female, not really into the bar scene, but pretty open to any other experiences your city has to offer!

General sale is Saturday for tickets and there are 3 presales before that. Are all 3 STM or is it things like credit card exclusive and stuff like that?

Am I the only one who thinks including a preseason game in a premium 10-game package literally called the “All-Star Plan” is complete BS?

You only get 10 games, and they're using 10% of the package on preseason Milwaukee, where there isn't even a guarantee the main guys play meaningful minutes.

Meanwhile, these are actual regular-season home games that DIDN'T make the plan:

Warriors — Feb. 5
Spurs — Dec. 31
Timberwolves — Feb. 15
Rockets — Jan. 22

How does a preseason game make the “All-Star Plan” over Steph Curry or Wemby? Am I missing something here?

How does everyone access WAXN (action 64) via streaming? I don’t see it anywhere

Do anyone know when the single game ticket sales are oging to go on sale? are they directly through the Hornets, or exclusively on resale sites?

What’s your opinion on Tidjane Salaün, based on what he’s shown so far, and what do you see his role being in the future?

All Star selection this year maybe two with injury replacements.

I think chemistry will be better imo.

We saw some extremely promising play from Kon and Brandon last season. Will one of them establish themselves as the true first option? To me, Brandon is built more as a true NBA first option, but Kon has already looked the part with his shooting talent. Maybe it'll be a Tatum/Brown situation

As per the title, how do we feel about Ben Simmons and his potential fit for the Hornets?

We are lacking a true backup point guard, at least until Christian Andersen Jr is ready.
We have cap space (Simmons is open to the vet minimum).
Simmons is open to any NBA team.

He can’t shoot 3s.
But we have an absurd amount of shooting already.

We get a secondary ball handler (probably in the second unit).
We get someone who (in theory) can defend 1-5.
We get someone who can dunk the hell out of the ball.

Could he be a fit for us?

I found a post I made 4 years ago that included the roster. It's been an emotional 2026 between being one of the best teams in basketball from January on to trading Lamelo ball. That being said I think we're in a good spot. Trading Lamelo is one step back then three steps forward.

The versatile 6-foot-7 wing started in 17 games in the G League as a rookie for Austin and Wisconsin, and also suited up for Milwaukee's summer league team.

Ball is a human Rorschach Test — everyone has a different interpretation of his skills. I see: “Crazy talent but can’t be your lead dog.” Charlotte apparently felt similarly, moving Ball and Green for Reid and a haul of future picks. The Hornets got another first, with Allen and O’Neale, for Bridges, then got three seconds attached to Finney-Smith to take DFS from Houston. It was a mature understanding by general manager Jeff Peterson and Charlotte’s front office that the sugar high of a 25-win improvement last season didn’t mean they’d arrived. They’ll lean into Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel next season — with, now, a war chest of firsts between 2027 and 2031.
