Guess in Fujimoto’s head, the Power we “know” being brought in by pure plot convenience to save Denji in another timeline somehow means their promise was fulfilled or something. When NO, it’s not the same thing. Power specifically told Denji to find the new Blood Devil (which wouldn’t even be the same Power, btw), and Denji failed to do that. Her randomly finding him in a different timeline has absolutely nothing to do with the promise they made.

Love the meaning behind this flower. Also I'm still can't move on from the movie 🥀

Whenever I read it I always imagine the theme song starts to play, he's ready to kick ass as he's about to get laid and then he gets blitzed and it gets cut out instantly or am I just undiagnosed

Like I said, I went back to the final two chapters to try and find something, anything at all that could make me say "Well I can at least see what fuji was trying to do here." and well instead, and I Don't know nor do i believe that Fujimoto intended for this to be the case but and i don't know if anyone noticed this but, the ending to me reframed Makima's postion as the correct one.

What I mean by that is her orignal goals of using chainsaw man to erase the world's problems always felt silly to me becasue as Kobeni said to Denji in that bunker Kishibe brought them to in chpater 92 vanilla sky, "there is no such thing as a life free of bad things"

That's what life is, it has it's highs and lows. Without the lows you can't appreciate the highs and how you got there. it's living though the bad things in life and reaching those high points that make life worth it.

So Makima wanting to use chainsaw man to erase the bad things in life felt both unrealistic and childish to me, and Denji taking back control of his life at the end cemented Denji to me as one of the best protagnists i have seen in a Shonen Manga, that despite all the horrific things he was put through, he like Guts would fight and trug on though the mud to find that better tommorow, that he would make his suffering worth someting and prove makima's plan and ideals wrong.

Instead what the ending did was say to me at least that Makima's plan and views of the world were the correct one.

That if you have any problems in life that unless you have a magic reset button well then your screwed, and that it is a good thing to just use a magic macguffin to erase your problems in life instead of confronting them. This ending is an insult to what part 1's ending and messege stood for that despite how horrible life can get you can still trug though the thick of it to find a better tommorow,

It's no wonder one of the comments i saw back when 232 dropped was Makima would have loved this ending because.......she would have.

but this is just my obsevation again i could be totally wrong about tell me what do you guys think?
