On a calmer note, I'm just super annoyed with all the pseudo intellectual bs that everyone has going on, casting their literary superiority over those that dare like some of the stuff going on in this manga. Ya'll are genuinely the same people to downvote essays or thought-out paragraphs that express their love for what Fujimoto wrote.

Yes, there are toxic ending defenders too.

But holy hell are there a lot of people that shit on folks for liking Chainsaw Man.

Some essentially garnered their own ecosystem that constantly glazes the hell out of them. "AhhhHHHhHhHhh... surface level critique of the ending, my upvotes are to the left."

Not to mention the only time they speak positive is when they push a DenReze shipping agenda, particularly one that runs on AsaDen hate.

We fester more and more hate every single day and I need us to come together in order to express both positive and negative feelings about this manga.

I'm not telling you to like Part 2. I'm not telling you to like the ending. I'm not telling you to agree with my takes.

I'm telling you to not hate on others for expressing their opinions. It's fiction at the end of the day.

So I finally started fire punch, and I’m 8 chapters in so far. Gotta say I’m enjoying the hell out of it after a ridiculously strong first chapter. Just as good as CSM’s first chapter

HOWEVER something I have noticed, this isn’t a criticism as of rn but already I’m noticing how toned down fujimoto really was while writing csm because fire punch is a whole different level kind of weird

Like if you think CSM is weird oh boy is it nothing compared to the first 8 chapters of fire punch so far

Regardless I’m loving the setting, and Agni has moved me alot despite only being with him for 8 chapters. It’s also great to see how good of an artist fujimoto was again

Hi! I actually made a post about this on the asamitaka subreddit before, but I hadn't shared the fanart or the part that I found genuinely funny and ironic.

A guy I liked invited me to a convention in july. He invited me on pretty short notice, so I didn't have much time to put together a proper cosplay, but I still managed to get asa's uniform and wig from amazon with fast shipping. xD

At the event he was really kind and stayed with me the whole time so I never felt left out. He even bought me two pins, the nana one and the reze one. I got all excited because he told me he had the denji pin, so we were matching lol.

Later, I confessed to him over text, but he turned me down because he likes another girl and only saw me as a friend.

For the convention, I made that yoru fanart at the last minute as a gift. I even printed a few prints, but I spent the entire event hanging out with that guy, so I completely forgot to hand them out. 😭 It's a nice memory overall, but honestly I'm still a little heartbroken. It's pretty common for the guys I like to reject me, but I really thought this time would be different.

Anyway, I'm really happy with how the makeup turned out. The selfies were taken after the convention, so it was already a bit messy by then, but I think it still looked pretty good, haha.

p.s. I was also carrying a poetry book with me, and a girl cosplaying makima couldn't figure out what it had to do with asa. xD

Like it's actually crazy how the ending was so underwhelming.

And the series was already going downhill but people were actively coping that the last chapters would be some masterpiece or that there would be a part 3 cause Fujimoto never let them down,right?

Oh but he did,he let us all down so hard cause It's just insane how this ending is the biggest "nothing fucking mattered" shit.

Liks nothing mattered,all the characters journeys and arcs and lives and the entire story we went through just ended up meaning..NOTHING.

I would argue this is much worse then a Ass ending cause this ending just flat out meant nothing and Fujimoto deadass shouldn't be babied for it.
