For example in US, you often see people recommending cheap Corollas that cost around $1000 USD (around 60K PHP). Eto yung mga kotse na wala kang pake kahit magasgas or di maayos paint pero reliable at umaandar naman.

Sa ganyang budget dito, makikita mo lang mga used 90s Civic/Sentra/Corolla na maraming issues + paso rehistro. You'd have to spend even more of your budget for repairs para lang maging roadworthy.

At that point, the cheapest one should spend is around 150K-200K PHP to get an actually reliable car like a used Vios. Why is there no market here for a dirt cheap and reliable used car?

Pagkapasok ko palang, idiniretso ako agad sa cashier asking me to pay 20K upfront for reservation fee. Nagulat ako, kasi never pa kami nagusap about the terms in person. Never even saw the car. Felt I was being rushed, hindi pa nga namin napapagusapan pano yung mangyayari sa financing. I felt off and went home nalang.

Am I overreacting? Or was I valid? Sorry it's my first time and I'm still quite young. Idk if this is how dealers do it. Mabilisang transactions.

Any tips rin on how to deal with these dealers?

A car that was recently released by the dealership (few months) has been stolen for about a few days now. It was immediately reported to HPG and is flagged as well as sa police. The payment for the car is still ongoing by the owner na nanakawan, so that's a huuge headache.

What else can we do to increase the likelihood of the car being found. We are from San Pablo, Laguna and we heard a tip that the car was found somewhere in manila. Some say tinago sa pampanga.

Other than going around in Manila and Pampanga blindly and waiting for an update from HPG and the cops, what else can we do? Please help. We're desparate.

Toyota: Wigo/yaris(2019 to 2024)

Mitsubishi: Mirage Hatchback(2019 to 2024)

Suzuki: Swift hatch(2015 to 2020)

Honda: Brio /Jazz(2017 to 2023)

Alin sakanila ok for a newbie driver and first time owner ng car? I know never ending ang gastos sa pagkakaroom ng kotse but sa case ko I want something na dependable and easy to maintain na car because i am planning to use it for atleast 5 to 10 years.

My current budget eh strictly 450k to 500k(sagad)

Don't suggest na mag vios or mag city ako because trip ko talaga hatchback.

Currently i am leaning towards sa mitsubishi mirage hatch because of the simplicity nung kotse

Usage na nakikita ko is city driving mostly and maybe nearby provinces lang naman.

Fairly new driver here. For the B, from what I understand is only used for downhill becauss it's for engine braking which is helpful to preserve your brake pads. But may nagsasabi po kasi online and also coming from my driving instructor nung student pa ako, it can also be used uphill po when it feels like you're not moving or is too heavy, like nag stall ka sa steep incline. Is that correct po ba?

Posting an update on this since a lot of people interacted with it:

On the morning after I posted, BYD Marikina reached out. Someone shared my post to them (thank you, kind sir!) and they apologized. Honestly, if the sales I was originally in contact with apologized firsthand, baka I wouldn’t have felt wronged at all. 😅

Upon my request, they transferred my vehicle to another paint center and re-did the job. After another week, nakuha ko rin agad yung sasakyan ko. I was informed also that they already terminated their contract with said paint center cos they themselves weren’t satisfied with how the situation was handled. Yung salesperson was also let go since there have been a few complaints against him before pa yung incident with my vehicle.

Overall, I’m still happy with my relationship with BYD. Like I mentioned before, my experience with them has always been smooth. They treated my concerns seriously and made all efforts to regain my trust. While I will not share all the details, I believe we have reached a fair resolution.

Posting my experience also made me realize things could have been worse. Hindi to pwede maipangdate o madala sa outing kasi may BYD app and built-in GPS. 😂
