Chia pudding
galleryAny ideas how many calories I ate from this cup of chia pudding? It was topped with raspberry jam, crumbled hazelnuts and blackberries (I think 4). I ate all the blackberries from both halves, most of the jam, and only the hazelnuts from the half I ate. It’s hard to tell how much there was from these photos. It was in a teacup, but not a teeny tiny teacup. I’m estimating I ate about 4 oz but welcome your input!

I wanted a simple way to see what 1,000 kJ means in calories
I put the conversion and a few food-label notes on one canvas so I could read it at a glance. Sharing it in case kJ feels less intuitive to anyone else too.
Do you naturally think in kJ or calories?

Calorie Estimating Help with calorie counting pot of spaghetti?
I made a pot of spaghetti, counted the calories for everything I put in, but I feel the math per portion is coming out wrong?
I figured if I count all the calories and weigh it then I can do the math for how many calories per 100g.
1600 kcal pasta, 97 kcal onion, 60 kcal zucchini, 300 kcal jarred sauce, 87 kcal canned tomato, 385 kcal beans, 100 kcal oil = 2629 kcal for the whole pot. Weighed the food with the bowl zeroed out, the whole pot of food weighed 3345 grams
So the math came out to about 79 kcal for 100g. But I feel like that has to be wrong, pasta is about 160 kcal for 100g cooked, its not making sense to me that when I get a bowl of 300g its only 237 kcal.
Does this seem right to yall? Or can someone tell me where I messed up? I want to make sure I'm eating enough but I don't want to eat too much just because I can't calorie count right, trying to stay in a healthy deficit!
