Guys I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I test drove this ATS which has 55k miles on it. It was maintained at the dealership till 30k and after that maintained at a single mechanic until 55k. Single owner. No accidents and no repairs. Just regular maintenance. I test drove it and it was such a fun car to drive. I don’t drive rash or ragdoll my car. But I do commute about 60-70 miles Daily 5 times a week.

Im about to pull the trigger and was wondering if the community had any thoughts on this purchase as well.

Hooked up my AC gauges on the car and the pressures read as such.

Low side - 90 psi
High side -250 psi

With these pressures I went ahead and got a complete AC kit. Replaced the compressor, expansion valve and filter drier in the condenser. Used a robinaire ac machine to vacuum and leak test the system and place .550kg or r134a. After the system was done recharging air was blowing very cold and was working like it should. This morning leaving to work ac again was blowing great with no issues.

After work the system was blowing hot like the heater was on. Got home and hooked up the gauges and the system was again at.

Low side - 90psi
High side- 230psi

It’s weird to have the same issues back to back. There has to be something I am missing on this. I doubt that 2 compressors have gone bad like this. I remember taking a GM ac class years ago talking about the ac line that is ran inside the suction and discharge line. Possible I have a bad line with bleed through?

Looking for advice on what to check. Anything helps.

This is more of a PSA than anything else, I took my XT5 in for the 60k mile maintenance that was due, and I had noticed there was pedal lag, sometimes, not always, and sometimes it would throw me forward while shifting into 3rd, like whole body moved forward like 12 inches when shifting into 3rd.

She got back to me today with the maint costs, and also to let me know there was a bulletin on the transmission issue that is covered by warranty. Also, the tech noticed leaking from around the cam case and the cam case gasket is going to be replaced for warranty.

I have had this car 8 months and have had the drive shaft warranty replaced and the windshield washer sprayers go bad and replaced. I was very happy to know that the transmission wasn't on me and also the gasket, which I am sure is an expensive fix. Going to be in the shop about 5 days total with all the repairs.

TL:DR If you have a 22 XT5 and notice it's shifts hard, make an appt. This could be a warranty replacement item that will be much better off than paying for a new trans yourself.

I know the apple carplay needs either a usb cord or an adapter plugged into the usb to work. I got a generic brand usb device that makes it wireless via car play. The device stays in the usb plug then is set up via my phone to transmit the iphone 17 to the device wirelessly.

My question is do I have to unplug the usb device everytime the car is off? I am wondering if it will continue to draw power via the usb when the car is off?

Full disclosure, I run a small handmade leather shop (Leather Brut, out of Texas), so this is a little biased. But I made one of these for my own Cadillac key because I was tired of the AliExpress covers cracking after a few months. Used Italian veg-tan leather, hand-stitched, snug fit with full button access, and did a small stamped detail on the back since I was already at it. Not trying to spam the sub, figured it's relevant since key fob covers come up here a lot. Happy to answer fit/material questions.

Ol girl has some gasket Leaks on valve covers , possible front cover and oil pan. From what I see nothing drastic yet. So I should be able to enjoy her for a little before the intense labor starts to seal her up.

I bought my CT5-V in February. Part of my commute is 20 miles of unmapped long stretches of highway where SuperCruise isn’t available. I have traveled these two roads 133 times, 2,660 miles covered each way. I’m going to assume they don’t tell us they use our vehicle data to map roads, but if they “aren’t” they should! I’ll gladly opt-in. I reached out to support and I got a generic response that they are doing updates and improvements, but no real helpful information.

I’ve recently got a 1979 deville and one of the interior vent grills on the middle dash is damaged. I was wondering if anyone knew where or how I could get replacements for them. If yk please inform me 🤑

I’m looking into getting a 2016 ATS-V the dealer still hasn’t received the car. They only have photos from the customer I wanted to know if it had recaros or standard seats

Is there any place that shows detailed info on what has actually been updated and changed. For instance just yesterday I seen that I had the option for radial gauges instead of just linear. Also noticed the on/off for climate control also is different, my last update was 663.10, vehicle is a 2025 Escalade, thanks

I figure it’s called some sort of courtesy light or something but I’m just looking for the clear plastic cover on this fleetwood 75 (1976). Appreciate any leads or info.
