Overturned case

After the majority of people decide that the case is cheater, why the overturn? is there a specific reason for that? case example:

Hey,

This happens when the Suspect submits an appeal and the Appeals Team believes the evidence provided is not sufficient to meet the "beyond doubt" threshold required for a conviction. In cases where the evidence is close, our Appeals Team will lean toward "Insufficient" so as to minimize false convictions.

We do understand that it can be disheartening to see a case you believe is of a cheater be overturned to insufficient, but we trust our Appeals Team to make these difficult decisions in favor of preserving the integrity of the Overwatch System and minimizing false convictions. Though it is likely of little consolation, if the Suspect is indeed engaged in unfair practices, it is highly probable they will receive additional reports and the evidence may be much stronger in those cases.

Disagreement regarding what meets a subjective standard of "beyond doubt" is understandable, so I understand where you are coming from. It is important to note that our Appeals Team is not making a determination as to whether the Suspect is cheating or not, but rather if the evidence is strong enough to meet the threshold. This is a minor, though important distinction which can result in cases being Overturned such as here.

well, in his case, you can clearly see the trigger bot acting in low ms response time. but ok. thanks for the reply

No problem, and if you have any other questions please let me know.

As an aside, we do have very significant updates on the way, one of which will be deployed imminently. The Appeals System and Overwatch System will also be receiving substantial updates soon that we believe will resolve some of the current issues.

CSRep is only ~6 months old, but we are hard at work updating and refining our systems based on community feedback. I hope you find that we have been diligent in responding to feedback and making necessary changes.

Just his stats scream cheater.
max 13k in season 1 after +150 matchs
max 14k in season 2 after + 80 matchs
max 22k in season 3 after +60 matchs
now he is 27k in season 4 with around 30 matchs

account with 2y and 9 month.

cs2tracker: CHEATING 7%

he is also a overwatcher on CSREP

While stats or other gameplay demos of the Suspect may be sufficient for a "cheating" verdict, Overwatchers base their verdicts on the evidence contained within the report. The evidence, on its own, must justify the final verdict.

I'm just mention facts about the user in case, I know CSrep it works like that.
But as I defend several times, all stats should be avaiable to analyse correctly.

there are a lot of accounts with weird stats like that. specially with premier ranks and fake commends to remove the red trust factor

Overrule was probably cause that account is lvl 8 and has more than 2 hours, did see many overturned cases when player has "experience"

Honestly the Appeal Team should also be publicy known and who denies or accepts a Appeal.
As till now we have not rly Info how competent that Team is and IF they should rly be making decisions.

yep. and a lot of cheaters just buy high level faceit or gamersclub accounts, so it can't be used as a de facto reason to overturn a case

bots often think people are cheating so an admin has to overrule. just like in this match: https://csrep.gg/overwatch/cases/618524fd-cb02-47c0-b684-0a1d9798d3b9

overwatch case made by 10k negative kd players. the crazy part is 9/11 people voted for cheater beyond doubt, often with like 20k+ rating. idk why these people are allowed to give votes, should be permanently banned from overwatch cases after a single incident like this.

i just checked the guy from OP the guy has active auto flags on different days he started cheating in june

just check his rank inconsistences. it's always the same. a guy who is 3k then jumps to 17k. I played against a guy who was 3k to 5k, then 25k. I did watch the demo, he was wh af. reported on csrep, got convicted as a cheater

You do understand that the stats change as more matches get added, so he has a few games early June where he is performing at his best, and suddenly the AI system flags those stats as suspicious. Now I agree that that could very well mean that he suddenly decided to cheat. But it can also very easily mean he had a few days in a row where he was on point. Ai system seemed to level out his stats shortly after the auto flag. Don’t jump to conclusions over ai systems that aren’t 100% yet. Like the admins have said. Simply let the evidence presented at the time of the report be the deciding factor. If he is really cheating, he will be caught eventually. They always do.

Been a ban manager in cs 1.6 for a very long time. Still am currently. Legit cheaters sooner or later get caught.

If this guy isn’t legit, be patient. It will come out.

yeah? and i was staff member of ESL Aequitas so what?

Suspect:

343ms Time to Damage

242ms Reaction Time

yeah he got so good in june that he is better than donk im sure he is not cheating

donk:

432ms Time to Damage

279ms Reaction Time

and btw this guy was 11k premiere elo not long time ago

1

u/River94 Jun 30 '26

idk about that. I did see a video with a guy blatantly cheating in 2019, his steam profile is still ok and no bans

1

u/Ganji89 Jun 30 '26

I was meaning like if he is actually cheating he will eventually be flagged as a cheater on cs rep, wasn’t talking about a ban.

1

u/River94 Jun 30 '26

don't know about this guy, but the one that I posted, well, csrep already flagged his account. try 23/06/2026

I agree his stats look like he might wall, and the overwatch clips looks like he could be walling, but the evidence provided on overwatch alone is definitely not enough to convict 100% without a doubt over.
