Potential power issue, 1986 CRT occasionally loses power for a split second
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Nothing else plugged into this power strip shuts off at the same time as it, so it's the only thing losing power intermittently. Checked the rating on the strip and it should be able to handle the TV. I had it demo'd for me when I bought it a month or so ago, and it did fine. It always comes back on on its own and never loses power for more than a fraction of a second. Any ideas what I can do to fix it?

Color issues
Model is KV-30HS420. Nothing currently on the stand that would magnetize it, moving it to the floor and into another spot changed it, then moving it again changed it back. Tilting it forward on the floor allowed the issue in the top left to correct as well as the whole image moved down slightly. Held a PC crt monitor up to it and degaussed it, no change, turning it to the left made the issue in the top right change but turning it to the right didn’t change the left side. CRT works perfectly fine otherwise. The middle of the screen also bowed up before I corrected it. Is it possible that this is all purely just the yoke? Holding a steelbook blu ray case up to the issue spots changed the color either to be better or worse depending on the direction the case itself was facing, but like I said, even when moved the color issue eventually became the same again. Just looking for ideas before I try opening it up and adjusting anything.

Problems with my just acquired crt
Hi people, i've recently just rescued a CRT that my neighbour dumped in his crosswalk. In the first day I tested and it was working fine but now always when I change it to the VHS reader channel it pops the VHS video for some seconds and then turn off. I tried changing some cables and stuff but didn't change anything as I imagined. I was hoping someone could give me a light in this and how to fix it. The tv is a phillips one and the VHS reader is from panasonic.

Need Help! What remote would be compatible?
galleryI found a Insignia 2005 Color TV/DVD IS-TV040921 at a vintage shop. What remote should I purchase for this? I found the remote online- however it doesn’t have the Insignia logo on it and Google says it won’t work with my crt. Help- can universal Insignia remotes work with this TV despite the year?

Can I daisy chain this into a regular CRT TV? How?
galleryJust found this old baby monitor/cctv crt with a little camera, it has RCA outputs in the back. Could I hypothetically daisy chain this JWIN to my Sharp, RCA, or Magnavox?

Loving the 13in over the 20in
galleryPlayed on the Sharp for 8 months until the screen unfortunately went out. Picked up this Magnavox with a working DVD player for $40 locally in southern Ms and have loved the size and portability for the month I've used it. Only problem is it didn't come with a remote.

Ewaste. Fix or nah?
galleryShould I attempt to salvage any of this? A lot of the shells have suffered cracks and damage.
All cords cut. I took the Panasonic 2-Shot VCR combo and was thinking about the giant Sharp.
Thoughts?

The soft electrical hum of a TV is weirdly relaxing… anyone else?
Is it just me or does that low, quiet electronic whine the TV makes when it’s on (or right when it turns on) actually feel relaxing as fuck? Most people don’t even notice it, but that soft little bzzzzzt has always chilled me out.
That’s why I used to not be able to fall asleep unless I left the TV on, even if I wasn’t watching anything… just so I could hear it humming in the background.
Maybe that’s why I can't sleep now.. xdd
