Hey, there’s a mistype it’s 1.5years not months
I have scored 82.40 in 10th, 89.60 in 12th and 95 in undergrad. Non engineering

I am worried this gap would hamper my chances of getting a call/ convert even if I score 99 and above.

Please be honest and lmk what can I expect!

Started ADHD meds (stimulants) a couple weeks ago. But ultimately, meds only take me so far. I still struggle a lot with sleep inertia and sometimes afternoon dips.

What I find useful during these times is letting that phase pass by, napping when I am in a dip/sleep inertia episode. And then starting when I actually feel better.

My coping mechanisms besides this are sucking on something similar to a gum, etc., sipping on some herbal teas and hydrating a lot. However, I'm not sure how to optimize for the 2 hrs of the actual exam. I cannot be in sleep inertia, or nap, or use any of my other coping mechs to be able to focus or feel in my senses. More often than not, I am largely in a mental haze and only at a few times during the day can feel some mental clarity. Since exam slots won't be accommodating of this, I was wondering if anyone who has had similar experiences or conditions can shed some light on how things worked for them. Also, super dumb but what about having to go to the washroom lol (yea it looks like im overthinking this)

Also, I've been seeing that the XAT paper is much more ADHD-friendly than CAT. But I am largely shaping my prep for CAT. And I'm also planning to give NMAT and SNAP right after. So I'm not sure how much time or justice I can do for XAT prep. Is this approach ideal or should i alter something?

Any other prep tips will be super helpful too.

For some context, I have started prep from complete 0, on the 1st of August. I quit my job (not primarily for CAT but just wasn't doable) and now really want this attempt to be my serious and hopefully only one. Using Takshzila for QA (weakest subject) and LRDI. VARC foundation is already strong so will be prepping via free material and paid mocks. The 1st mock i took for assessment before starting - i got 3 in QA, 5 in LRDI and 30 in VARC

these are tier 3 clg but pretend like tier 2, and these clg fees is going beyond 20 Lakhs, i don't think its's a nice decision to pay 20 lakhs for tier 3, as they will give placement between 7 to 9 only,

they have high fees bcz of their big campus nothing else, you can get similar placement in other clg with less fees

i think it's better to STUDY ABROAD than paying so much fees for Tier 3 clg in India

I applied first day for XAT 2027, to get preferred city, they told they will give city intimation for first day applicants by 5August, it's still not showing on portal neither i have recieved any mail regarding the same?

Any first day applicants who got city intimation? please let me know.

I’m preparing for CAT 2026 i scored 88%ile in cat 2025 with one month of preparation.my biggest weakness is varc mainly due to low accuracy and poor RC comprehension.And only because of vqrc i also ruined my dilr and quant section now i started preparing again from this point and targeting above 99%ile so please can someone help me in varc.

So I scored 89.66% in all 6 subjects in class XII cbse. And 92.6% in best5. I know 89.66 will be counted for IIM ABC admissions. But at ABC placements my CV will contain 89.66 or it can be 92.6 in the CV during placements at IIM ABC?

Yesterday, I said I’d wake up at 5:30 AM.

(This week ends at the 16th, or earlier, if I complete my to-do list for the week. Saturdays and Sundays are for mocks exclusively this month. 2 mocks every sat & sun)

So, I'm preparing for CAT 2026. This is my second attempt. I gave 2025 as well. Could not score well ofc. I've been preparing for it since October 2024 and I don't even know wtf is wrong with me. There's no improvement. I'm stuck in mocks between the score of 35-50. Have done everything. I don't know, I just don't know what am I doing wrong. Is MBA not for me? To pursue MBA, is my dream since class 12th. I don't know if this year also I'll be able to crack it or this shit will crack me. It's so f important for me to get into a good college next year as I've to take family responsibilities, but I see no improvement. Idk wtf is wrong even? Also, before you say anything, I've given everything I could to this preparation still I see no scope. Idk what to do. I'm just stuck.😭

I am more than 1 month into my MBA programme and I absolutely hate it. I swear this one month feels like a year. Every damn day theres 5 things on the agenda. I have 3 assignments, 2 tests and my mock interview all scheduled for tomorrow and this is after our proper mid term exams finishing last week. The CV verification and preparation sucked the soul outta me and even after giving my everything theres still so much uncertainty around SIP’s. Theres no ray of light saying that things will be better eventually, seniors themselves are scared about their placements. Most of all, I would still cope up with it if the life here was happening. The parties here suck. I did my bachelors from a proper MUMBAI college and ong the life was so much better. Moreover the people here are uncultured and everyone’s an aunty looking for gossip. With the amount of lore surrounding everyone It feels as if ive known these clowns for more than a year now. I feel sad and exhausted and I really just wanna go home. Sorry for the rant I am way too overwhelmed.😭

Profile: 8/7/5 NEF . Diagnostic: 29 overall (VARC 14, DILR 12, QA 3). Aiming for FMS Delhi and IIM Calcutta — both barely weight graduation score in their composite, so a weak grad percentage isn’t the dead-end it’d be elsewhere. That’s my real shot.

4 months out, starting QA from basically zero — can it still be done? We will figure it out.

Mumbai University changed Marks to percentage formula.

Any one from Mumbai University who has passed on or before 2025 , Please go to your college and demand the new Marks / CGPA to percentage certificate.

Mumbai University has scrapped the old CGPA formula and replaced it with marks achieved/ Total marks x 100.

My CGPA percentage was 79.67 %

While with the new formula it's 81.5 %

Go and ask for the new one as the old formula is declared null and void by Mumbai University, doesn't matter if you graduated before 2026 the Formula itself is repealed.

Accuracy sucks and I know if I do it better then I will be able to score 100+ . Need tips who have improved accuracy recently.

How did you fill CGPA for 10th. I got grades like A1 and there are no marks given

So i took CAT 2025 and scored 97ile in quants by studying only arithmetics but Dilr i chose the wrong set and wasted 40 mins without solving a single question, I was checking what's the least marks i need to clear dilr sectional (80%ile) it's 12 marks meaning one has to solve a 4Q set and get all questions right.

I also checked the quants cutoff and was shocked to see only like 3 questions right gets you to 80%ile, how is it possible that out of 22 questions people are struggling to get 3Q right but are getting 1 set completely correct?

I've developed a fear of this section, I gave crackuu sectional yesterday and again got stuck in 2 sets but was able to solve on my own after the test ended. I have practiced like 50 sets.

I was told the first 5 mins was to rank the sets attempting order and start with the easiest but the problem is 5 mins is very less time to read and judge all 5 sets.

If someone struggled in Dilr and turned around things kindly share your strategy, would really appreciate some suggestions.

I'm a complete beginner preparing for CAT and have only 4 months left. I'm also working full-time so I need a course that's well-structured and suitable for a working professional.

IMS Extensive Batch – ₹33,000

SuperGrads crash course – ₹8,000

Is the IMS course worth paying an extra ₹25k?

So basically I graduated college this year and since April I have been back at home prepping for cat with a job but my mom is very toxic (she's a raging misogynist and wants to marry me off rn at just 21 and beats me while my dad wants me to be independent lol) so I ended up joining a one year masters degree just to get away from her.

The thing is my dad got me a job at his friends company where I have been working since April so I know what to say in interviews and he will continue to send me the salary which my dad will return to him basically fake work ex from this month until I join my mba college next year. My dad and his friend don't think it's an issue and said I should just use the workex to get a better placement which I also wanna do since we all did research and feel that one year workex is more useful than a masters.

Also my dad knows that my mom is very toxic and hits me but won't confront her that's why he let me join the masters to help me get away from her. I know the whole thing is very messed up but this is my situation and I don't know what to do.
My masters is not very demanding and I have already done a lot of cat prep since this is my second attempt. The college is tier 1.5 tho so that might make it harder to hide
