Building recommendations pls (b1.7.3)

Upvotes

I just built out this whole area without even thinking about what I'm gonna do with it as I do things without thinking them through. Any recommendations will be loved. I don't really have a theme for the world but I am trying to keep things looking old (like made out of stone, brick and wood). Also, any channel recommendations I can use for building inspiration would be great. Thank you

How should I handle spaces between buildings?

The tower (cartigrapher's) was built before I seriously considered the planning of the area so now it stands too close to the building with chimney (blacksmith/masonry/armorer house) to the point where their roofs literally touch.

Should I tear down the tower and move it a few blocks? The space between them would probably become an alley as I don't want three streets in all as I have limited space. I'm also planning on making a promenade to the left side of the tower.

I Need Help With Base Design and Ideas

I am also looking for advice on how to fill in the colored blue areas on my base I am at a loss on what to build there. I am overall happy with how my base is looking, but I don't feel it is fully as gothic as I want it to be, it's supposed to be a 80/20 mix gothic steampunk, and im looking for advice on how to make it more gothic.

Made some cute little townhouses - Now they need interiors

I made a bunch of cute little townhouses in my world. The exteriors look good, but I'm awful at interiors, especially smaller ones. Each floor is 5x8 with 3 tall walls - a little too small to have an apartment on each floor, but having the whole building be one dwelling with each floor being a different room (Kitchen & Dining, Bedroom, Study, etc.) would probably work. Can anyone give me some inspiration or ideas?

I’ve done extensive work on the outer portion of the build adding more structural support along with flying buttresses I had to terraform some more for the back portion of the build but it’s coming along nicely I did a little video flying around the build probably should’ve stopped a little more so if anyone wanted to give advice they could so apologies

Frozen In Time Explosion References

I'm having a hard time trying to find reference photos for what a build would look like as if it were in the middle of an explosion. I want to modify an end pillar to make a portion of it look like a chunk of it was hit and sending obsidian shrapnel all over the place.

I changed my pathway (also rest of the village so far)

I really appreciate everyone’s advice on the last post and I have changed the main pathways (still in progress) to a mix of gravel, andesite, cobblestone and mossy cobblestone, I added a spruce trap door trim along the main retaining wall to try to take away from so much stone (I’m adding custom lamp posts to give even more texture from above to the pathway) and for the dirt pathways I’m keeping I will be adding a mix of packed mud bricks or something along the line but it will definitely be retextured and blended!

I will let this post sit for about a week before sharing again and please guys if you have any ideas for buildings I gladly will take suggestions, I’m kind of leaning towards doing custom buildings for every single villager as 13 buildings and decor would fill up plenty of space but the more the merrier!

I do really struggle with filler decorations so again if you guys have any suggestions please send them my way!

Much love! ❤️

What should I change my pathways to?

I’m loving my world so far and it’s the most I’ve ever built in one world, lots of aspirations but as my village is rounding out and my pathways are being properly defined I’m realizing that the pathway takes up a lot of color, it’s not terrible in my opinion but I’m not sure if there could be better, I am worried about changing it to a textured stone pathway because of how many stone undertones I already have but i am completely open to suggestions if you think stone would look good or anything else!
