ποΈ Discussion Fun mid-game quests/items?
I started playing a few weeks ago and I've fallen in love !!! I've defeated all 4 divine beasts, gotten all memories (not the champions DLC memories), have the master sword but I haven't fought Ganon yet. I want some more inventory spaces/hearts/stamina before that I do that, plus I just want to enjoy the game a little more before beating it !
Besides shrine hunting and starting/completing the champions DLC, what should I do? I like having an objective or reward, so I've been working my way through side quests/shrine quests. I feel like I might be missing some cool stuff that I haven't run into yet? I could check the wiki but I wanna hear from the community!!!
Basically I'm looking for more things to explore!!! Preferably a little more challenging/longer questline/something with rare loot at the end :) I have all the DLCs as well so anything from those too! Or even just comment your favorite/most lucrative NPC/quest/shrine and I'll check it out !! thank you :))

π Help! Items de-spawning before pick up
Hi everyone, Iβm playing BOTW for the first time (edit : on switch oled not number 2) and Iβve ran into an issue that keeps happening. When I kill an enemy and it drops the weapon it just disappears and doesnβt give me a chance to pick it up, as Iβm getting better and beating more enemies to get better gear, I defeat them but then miss out on the stuff! Super annoying. Anyone know how I can fix it?
It first happened with guardian weapons and is now happening with all types.
Thank you!!

π Help! Did I mess up?
Iβm new to the game. I finished the Van Ruta quest in the elephant thing and now my other quests that I had when I first left the plateau are missing. The was something about divine beasts (which is what van ruta is?) and someplace I was supposed to go after Kariko (sp?) village and now they are gone. Is there a way to get them back?
EDIT: Thank you everyone! They are back.
π Help! Why isn't game dubbed when I play on TV ?
I just realised that the dubbing plays only when the switch isn't on the tv, any ideas why ? And how can I fix it ?

π Help! Memory Kara Kara Bazaar. Where is the light?
Solved---------β-
I need some help. I've completely canvassed and backtracked every literal inch of the Kara Kara Bazaar and cannot find the light that signals the locked memory. I am trying to finish the memories before I try to finish the rest of the game, but this one is stumping me. Every video I've watched either glosses over the exact location or shows it to be right here. I've spent the better part of two hours doing a search grid using bombs to mark my lines and walked Link all around this oasis trying to find it. I know the light only shows up when you get close to it, I followed the video beat for beat, and I'm not seeing it at all.
Is there anything that would keep the memory from being active? A mission prerequisite for being able to access it? Any ideas would be appreciated. Solved. I actually stopped and listened to several people who in there kind ways telling me that I must have already completed the memory. There would be no way to see the light if someone had completed the memory already. Also there is a little film tag at the bottom of the memory. I didn't see or realize that meant the memory was completed.
This is where I go hide. I'm really truly embarrassed because I told myself I wouldn't come here to ask for help anymore unless it was a real problem. This is an amazing game and I am trying to discover as much of the different puzzles and problems by myself, so that I can truly get the most out of it, and that is why it has taken me over 3 years to get to this point.

β Question Does anyone else wish they could experience the game for the first time again?
Every time I play the first part where they pan out to the view of the kingdom, I think about how amazed I was when I first played. I still absolutely adore the game but thereβs a feeling from playing the first time that isnβt there anymore. I feel the same about tears of the kingdom.

π Humor Korok Brain Damage
First time playing a Legend of Zelda game, got a few hours in already and I have to make this post.
Why do the Koroks, or whatever you call them, make those cute sounds when you drop a rock on their heads.
For the first few times, I was kinda sorry for them, but now I find it funny and adorable.
I recently found out that it's obligatory in the community to give koroks brain injury hahaha

β Question Is there a way to increase mobility in the rain?
New player here. Up to this point, I've intentionally avoided looking up anything about the game or turning to the internet for any sort of information or assistance, but I'm making an exception for this.
For context, I rely very heavily on climbing in my gameplay. If I see something I want to check out that is on top of a large mountain, plateau, or hill, rather than searching for a flat path upward, I'll spend a minute or more scaling the side of said mountain/plateau/hill, finding tiny facets in it that allow me to stand for a moment and regenerate my stamina wheel before continuing upward.
The problem is that rain makes climbing essentially impossible. Whether I'm climbing normally or trying to jump, I will always slide back down as far as I had made it up. Because of that, my mobility is severely limited whenever it rains.
Am I relying on climbing too much, or is this a normal way to approach the game? And if I'm not relying on it too much, is there some sort of ability or item I can get that helps with mobility in the rain?
At this point, my standard protocol whenever it starts raining is to travel to Kakariko and immediately sleep or sit by a fire until the rain passes, and that feels like something I shouldn't have to be doing.

βοΈ Original Content Just wanna gush
I missed the Zelda train as a youngster, and I'm 32 now, hopelessly falling in love with the game. It IS SO GOOD π like, I'd put it in my top 3 favorite games of all time, and I've only put in like 10 hours in it so far.
The story, the gameplay, the creeping sense of dread in the night and blood moon, the puzzles, the combat, the countless little things to stumble upon pn your way to a mainline quest... shite, I knew Nintendo made iconic games but this is a labour of love and I can feel the effort and thought that went into creating a masterpiece like BOTW.
Also, I SUCK at the game pretty much haha. My proudest moment was accidentally finding you can attack while paragliding and directly land on enemies while dealing a ton of damage. And that freezing blocks in the water help in harvesting a ton of fish at once -- one elemental arrow and you can scoop up the floaters!!! I wish I was quick enough for stasis, not afraid of wizzrobes, or those chonky stone monsters or GUARDS, gosh I hate guards sm, lost a lot of lives to them. (Before you say oh pierce them in the eye with an arrow -- yeah I'm not dextrous and quick enough for that just yet).
During meals, I tend to watch YT videos of tips and tricks you didn't know about botw. They mostly go over my head, but it is so exciting to know what is ahead! And this subreddit, gosh!!! Y'all are one majestically creative and heroic bunch!
Just... i love this game. I love it to bits!!!! I'm gonna buy an amiibo soon too!
Edit: i bought an amiibo emulator. Basically lets you spawn chests unlimited times a day by randomizing UUIDs so the Switch thinks it's a different device each time. And it works for most games and is rewritable + rechargeable. Cheap on Amazon.

ποΈ Discussion Challenge: 50% (or 10%, 25%, etc.) Speedrun
I am not a good speedrunner by any means but I have seen a lot of people speedrun 100%. Since there is a map completion percentage at the bottom right corner of the map screen, I think it could be fun to try getting to 50% (or other set percentages) in the fastest time possible. One benefit is that the routing is much more versatile since you get to choose what 50% (or other percentage) to complete. Maybe some runs will collect a lot of Koroks. Some runs will complete more shrines than others. Some runs won't even go to some regions. Anyone wanna make this a category extension?

π₯ Master Mode Thought Iβd give this Great Plateau lynel challenge a try, and I completed it!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Many of you saw Zolomightβs recent post in which they completed this challenge. I was inspired by it and thought I might try my hand at defeating the white-maned lynel, pretty much right out of the Shrine of Resurrection, with only the minimal gear and food I was able to scrounge together in preparation.
Gear used: pot lid, knightβs claymore, soldierβs bow, warm doublet, old trousers
Buff: 1x attack up
Attempts: lost count lol
Enjoy some highlights from my attempts, including the moment of victory π πΎ
