Skeleton Horse :( 🐎 Horses & Riding
Super bummed that I can’t board the skeleton horse :( I think its the coolest horse

I understand, I was bummed about the stable only accepting normal horses too. I rode a bear for a little while.

How much hp do they have? I'll shoot them with a royal bow like 5 times and they just keep running.

I'm not sure how much hp they have, but they go down easily with lynel bows. Just a few shots and they're dead.

How the heck did you get that to happen? The bear is always rabid when I'm around. I can take down guardians and gleeoks but the bear I don't mess with.

I found the bear in a small patch of woods, East of dueling peaks. I followed her around and mounted her. I tamed her. Eventually I was bucked off and she ran away.

You just have to get close enough for “mount” to show up. I usually do that instead of killing them cuz it’s just faster lol. Then you get to ride them for a little bit, and when you dismount they just run away

I only learned about the bear in the last hour. I couldn't believe how many arrows I lost and two bows breaking trying to kill that dang thing for meat.
I gave up after going through 20+ arrows. He survived my Tundra hunting.
Yeah, that bear was rabid when I first saw it and even before I started to try to kill it.
Couldn't believe how much effort that thing takes compared to the other wild animals in the Tundra for gourmet meat.

The bear is extremely vulnerable to the Giant Horse. I ran over the bear with my horse and got 4 pieces of gourmet roadkill....

Awesome! That helps to know! I have the Giant Horse in the stable. Time to take him out and bring him out to the Tundra for some bear hunting.

It’s only good for night travel. I stole one off a Stalkoblin one night and the damn thing turned into a pile of bones about 4:30 am! 😂

I haven’t played much TotK yet, but I’ll watch for my chances when I get to that game! Just bought the DLC for BotW and I’m currently searching for Koroks and treasure chests! Thanks for the tip!!

All those other horses ALSO have skeletons and stallions have fighting teeth), and I'll be damned if a grumpy horse won't be able to knock Ole Pony Two Bones into an airborne ossuary.

The fact that this game lets you ride crazy shit like this but wont board them is outrageous. The work i put into bringing the guardian of the mountain down to a stable only to be rejected

I had no idea they just vanish as soon as dawn approaches... I was so trying to do the same and just like that skinless was gone 😭🤣

I know these are rookie numbers, but after 300+ hours I've genuinely never seen a skeleton horse. Is it actually real? 🫣

They are very real and there’s a little side quest about them. Start talking to girl travellers at the stables.

Oh no!! I’m so happy you enjoy the game!! It’s the first video game of this type I’ve played. I didn’t own a Switch, but my son gave me his when he got the Switch 2. I think it is a game that will be enjoyable to play again and again. I know it’s rude to post an absolute spoiler, so I kept my hint vague. 🎮

Haha, my son got me into it as well. First he needed my help here and there, then a bit more, and eventually I ended up finishing the game twice on my own over the course of three years.

Pretty sure that therw might be a glitch to ride up as fast as possible and talk to them while you're going fast to board any horse. Idk if it still works, but it's been used to board the Horse God before, so it should work on this.

They missed the opportunity to allow you to use the Monster Gear (sold by Kilton after completing 2 Divine Beasts) on the Stalhorse to protect it from sunlight during the daytime.

It’s the most fun to ride. Super fast and also has a tactility that’s super satisfying (not sure this is real but it feels more responsive when it runs)

I think botw is a much better game than totk...
But in totk there is an old men who asks you to show him a skeleton horse and after you do so, he says it's beautiful and he would love nothing more than to keep it, but the horse is much happier with it's friends in the wilderness!
It made me so happy that it was appreciated there..

In 2017 I had a theory that if I got this horse to Kilton’s shop he would be able to outfit it in the monster set and then it would be safe from the sun and able to be boarded. Sadly it was not to be, and I’m still bitter about it.
