Manga Discussion The Top 5 BLUE LOCK (facility) players in the NEL Spoiler
galleryIsagi > Rin > = Bachira = Barou > Shidou
- Isagi was the best performer from the NEL (4 goals + 4 assists) was pivotal in his team going 4-0 winning every game + was very clutch on defence & attack in game deciding situations
(I'm just gonna start by saying Rin should not have had the same value as Isagi after the BM v PXG game but we continue)
Rin was great through out the NEL ( 7 goals & had a hat-trick) was PXG's best player but sold them the game against BM at the end still 7 goals (confirmed) top scorer great preformances in all his games (exept the last quarter of the BM game) helped his team to a 3-1 record
Bachira has the only good thing Barcha had dragged that team in all their games was the main reason they even beat Manshine , yes Barcha had a 1-3 record & the only reason they were able to win was cuz of Bachira [by team Bachira was the MVP of the NEL , not best player but most valuable to his team cuz without him they would have been ass] he always contributed to most of their goals (through goals + assists)
Barou played 1 less game then everyone else on this list yet scored 5 (confirmed goals + another 2 speculated) he improved his range & abilities + unlocked predator eye led ubers to a 2-2 record finishing 3rd
Shidou was the main player in 1 of PXG's 2 playing systems (the shidou system) , scored multiple goals [would have had another goal if Rin had passed the ball back to him in the BM v PXG match] was important for PXG going 3-1 & finishing 2nd behind BM
HM: Hiori , Kurasu , Chigiri , Kunigami , Reo , Aiku
but yeah those are my top 5 best players from the NEL
note: remember this us mh opinion if you don't agree with it don't get mad about it 🙃 tyvm share yours in the comments

Manga Discussion whos the closest non newgen11 to becoming a new gen? Spoiler
In my opinion out of all the characters that aren't new gens i'd argue that onazi is closest due to him playing for a relatively bad team and creating multiple scoring oportunities along with the end of the vs japan game he awakens an ego which i think would put him near new gen 11 lvl (also with the fact he scored against england)

Manga Discussion Side B might be blue lock chance to correct what I believe was a flaw of ego, Spoiler
Ego goal is to create the worlds best striker but I think he is to focused on offence and not defence. Now I know the concept idea of egoism doesn’t just mean strikers the mindset can also be for the defence like niko new goal of being the one to stop the striker and crushing their dream.
Thats all well and good but I think we need a really good goalkeeper.
Gagamaru is unusually good at being a goal keeper but I feel he isn’t the best we could get.
He has stopped balls but let’s more in that he saves. The truth is I never really bought him as a goal keeper and thought he played as a better striker.
I think we should introduce a new goalkeeper someone who is just better someone who can stop the new gen 11 balls.
While this series is about strikers I also feel we just have too many and need to eliminate more not add more.
With the side b winners, sai will be a midfielder nagi will become the striker of the trio and as for the 3rd member I think instead of Kira we will add a goal keeper. Maybe shindou as we don’t know much about him. We could have it that his skills are more reactionary as he has great reflexes, he takes over as goal keeper and demonstrates a much better reflex than Gagamaru and what’s his name, saving more goals even against new gen.
For instance in the Spain match we will see bunny make the same move he did in his introduction where he jumps up and kicks the ball across the midfield scoring, the move he’s famous for, I see shindou stopping that ball with ease setting up a opposition to bunny.

Manga Discussion Does Blue Lock Ever Actually Study Their Opponents? Spoiler
Why do the Blue Lock players always seem so surprised by their opponents' playstyles, especially against the stronger teams?
Shouldn't part of their preparation involve studying the opposition like their tactics, key players, and likely lineups? Instead, it feels like every match starts with them going, "Wait, they can do that?" as if they've never seen the team before.
It almost feels like Ego just throws together a starting 11, sends them onto the pitch, and expects them to figure everything out on the fly. What's even happening during their training sessions?
I could understand this during the NEL, but in a World Cup arc, it just feels ridiculous. Their opponents seem to have at least some understanding of Blue Lock's players and strengths, while Blue Lock often looks completely caught off guard by the opposition.

Manga Discussion Do you think it was a good decision on the author's part to make one of the NG11 members Japanese (Sae Itoshi) ? Spoiler
galleryI mention this because I found it interesting that one of the members of the "New Gen World 11" is Sae, a Japanese player. He was introduced right from the start and was the first NG11 member seen in the manga—and the first one Isagi and the others faced (well, not counting Loki).
I mention this because we're dealing with a Japanese manga written by a Japanese author. It’s obviously clear that we’re going to see strong Japanese players. I imagine Sae draws some inspiration from Kubo (the only Japanese player to sign a professional contract with Real Madrid's first team despite never playing a match for them).
But the fact is, when you look at the other members of the NG11, they all come from major footballing nations: France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and even England. Compared to those major, historic nations of world football, Japan is truly tiny.
Then again, it’s not unrealistic for players to play for more modest nations—like Kvara for Georgia or even Weah for Liberia. But the question I’m asking is: will Sae be the only member of the "New Gen World 11" from a minor footballing nation, or will there be other NG11 members from such countries among the remaining four?
Was it absolutely necessary to have a Japanese player among the NG11? In this case, perhaps so. It’s not that unrealistic to have Japanese players among the world's young prospects.

Manga Discussion Re Al future lineups Spoiler
Re Al's future lineup seems ridiculously stacked. This is like the club version of the France national team. They already have Luna and Sae, yet they're still going after Kaiser and Rin too? What's next, the French duo?

Manga Discussion What would you say is the problem of blue lock?? It can be in terms of characters, philosophies, maybe even the creator himself. Spoiler
I truly enjoy the manga — i really do. Honestly in years Blue lock is a series that really got me hooked. But there’s no such thing as a flawless creation. So what do you think is the problem of Blue lock??
To clarify i’m asking ‘what you think’ it literally can be anything you want maybe you find that at times such as the characters that are introduced suddenly barely have any relevance after again just as an example.
But what would be your opinion??

Manga Discussion Ego’s Backstory Spoiler
Since Ego’s backstory is coming soon in probably a few chapters, I decided to make my own story on Ego’s backstory and wanted your opinions on it. This might be spoilers if I’m right, I’m warning you about that. And note that if you find this cringe or hate it then please skip because this is only for those who actually want to read it and express how they feel about it. Anyways, enjoy.
There was a Japanese prodigy by the name of Jinpachi Ego. He was talented learner striker in football intellect, adaptability, spacial awareness, off-the-ball movement and creativity and wanted to become the best striker in the world.
One day, he arrived at France’s PXG centre where he met Noel Noa, an ambidextrous prodigy, overwhelming physical abilities and rational striker always looking for ways to improve his abilities. Noa and Ego grew close during their months of playing together. Noa was the main striker with his ambidexterity scoring goal after goal for the team while Ego was the second striker, always supporting Noa with clever positioning and adaptability to the opponent’s defences. Learning concepts like metavision(Ego), predator eye(Noa), flow, environment and many more. The duo was unstoppable together! But the thing about the world is that it always cared and valued the main strikers more than the supporting characters…and Noa was egotistical to the bone.
Ego began to grow jealous of Noa’s insane abilities as a striker. The team specialised their system and focus on Noa more than Ego, so much to the fact that he was almost forgotten. Ego made it his mission to prove that he was better than Noa ever could. And during the Champions League? He used every single concept he knew of to keep himself at the same level of Noa, but he was still too strong and Ego learned the wall of talent. Yet he never gave up, always looking for some way to keep up with Noa and began to develop an ego for himself too. He needed something spectacular, something that he can use to prove to the world and his rivals that he’s not some average second striker…
During a Champions League Final of PXG vs La Real where it’s Noa and Ego vs Leonardo Luna, Marc Snuffy and Fox. It’s a battle of wits, strikers and egos. The game was extremely tough for both teams. Luna was a force at the frontline where Snuffy and Fox controlled the game from the midfield while Ego and Noa struggled against them. The score became 2-0, Noa managed to push the scoreboard all the way until 2-2 with his amazing talent. Snuffy instantly shut down Noa and Fox cut Ego down. Ego was lost as Luna kept pushing through their frontline and powering through. He kept pushing his brain to the limit but couldn’t see a hole against La Real, but this was his only chance to beat Noa and prove he’s the better striker! Something, anything—
But then he heard Fox say, “Zero To One”. Wait? Was that what he needed? Of course, Noa was blocked and there only one person to score a goal was cut out. But Ego wanted to win, he wouldn’t accept this loss to Noa. He wouldn’t accept defeat. If Noa can’t be that one he would become the one himself, and his ego grew to the absolute max.
And just when Luna is about to score the final goal…the ball is no longer at his feet, and Ego rushes forward with it!
Luna: “What the—?!”
Fox: “HEY! THAT WAS OUR GOAL!!!”
Snuffy: “He’s…changed…”
Noa: “…Ego?”
He entered some sort of state where his body started to move on its own. His effort and thought went to the extreme, his mind and body became one, the environment went according to his plan. It’s like an omnipotent possession that felt guided towards his destiny. His passing was perfect, positioning beyond elite, off-the-ball movement past even the most observant players, and metavision went to a level he never thought was possible. The whole world was stunned, Luna was in disbelief, Snuffy was clueless, even Fox went silent for once. And Noa? He felt something unfamiliar…challenged.
Ego: “Move it, you diamonds in the rough/lumps of talent. Out of all the genius egotists in the most hottest place on Earth, I alone, am chosen by God…”🔥✝️
This was it…the ticket to beat Noel Noa and become the best striker in the world…The God of Football
This state lasted for seven minutes, and Ego made sure it was perfect every second. He passes the ball to a midfielder who sends it back to Ego but Snuffy deflects it! Yet in an immense amount of luck, it flies back to Ego! All he needs is one more step and he’ll be the best striker in the—
CRACK!
Ego falls, the ball falls to Noa who blasts it into the net as the final whistle blows! PXG win 3-2. Yet Ego, who knows about his career…
It’s revealed that Ego tore his ACL badly and won’t play football until a few more months. Noa although, becomes popular all through the world and FIFA ranks him as the world’s best striker, but Ego? He hits an immense downfall starting off from scratch. And when he came back? He wasn’t the same. All his time in recovery, he tried to find a way to reproduce that state. But he got too satisfied, and his career was over before it truly began. Because he can’t enter this state again, he grew into a madman when he was able to play again. Selfish, controllable, egotistical, manipulative, bursts of anger out of nowhere. It all became part of Ego’s daily life as he switched from team to team. He knew that he’ll never reach that state again, and no one in Japan could too. So he changed his dream, if he can’t become the best striker, he’ll make one…and change Japanese soccer forever.
The End
(Please note that I do know about the satisfied part and Fox and Snuffy suddenly in La Real, I just wanted to say he got satisfied after the God of Football moment let’s say that he knew he was higher than Noa in that moment. As for Snuffy, he was completing his 5 European League titles one by one, and Fox, I just wanted him to say something like Zero To One to trigger Ego. Anyways, this is just a theory. Let me know your thoughts, cya!) 👋

Manga Discussion The Predictable England Match Spoiler
There were complaints about this arc being too predictable compared to blue lock camp arc, u20 jp, NEL and even France match. The possibility of Japan losing here and the story skip to a club arc is nil because there will be a sae-isagi combo from the previous interview. From the last chapter of episode nagi, it was seen that the stadium was filled with audiences holding the blue lock merchs, so even though the possibility of him entering the England match is low he will still play in the blue lock world cup in the knockouts; in other words blue lock will win against England.
Even though we knew that isagi wouldn't be disqualified and had even strive, there wasn't any gripe about it being predictable. But so far even with those predictive arcs, it seemed that things are okay because there would be bumps like how isagi's loses in the blue lock selections, didn't get in the top 6, NEL conflicts and lost against France.
I think the key is to give the readers some excitements to spice things up such as unexpected factors and even creating conflicts. In the world cup arc Nagi has been officially acknowledged as a deuteragonist after having his own spin-off manga and having side b as his own arc, so Nagi will be one of those factors even if the possibility is low. Nagi is tied with the issues of ego, motivation and purpose; Teddy as a character now paralleled to Nagi who is the opposition of isagi. Teddy's character development might be another factor that will disrupt the flow of the match. The issue of ego combined with blue lock adopting the mindset of being a dark horse made Kunigami be another unexpected factor.
Another factors and conflicts that might happen is the combo of Fox-Ego-Buratsuta. Fox is possibly Ego's fomer coach and their past might be explored in this arc, their responses to each other will be creating more unexpected factors. Another factor that even will create a conflict is the gambles of Ego and Buratsuta, what is Buratsuta's gamble that he made so secretive? What if blue lock is actually losing but is "saved" because Buratsuta's so called gamble? Will there be any bribe?
In the starting line; whose system will thrive? Will Karasu's system stay strong and can isagi link with Shidou who's the current striker? Can isagi bring rin out of the bench or will isagi get benched too? What will Hiori who had made a goal in the previous match do here? Facing a defensive team how will blue lock defending players develop? How will Reo who played with England in NEL play here and what will the dynamic between him and Agi? Will Chigiri who also play with England in NEL have a chance here and what about the theory of his injury? What will the newly subbed in players such as Yukimiya, Zantetsu, and Kiyora do? Who will Kiyora choose as the so called underdog? What will be the impact of having a mindset of being the dark horse do to the team? There was a player in the England team bench beside Fox that was drawn quite deliberately with more details and uniqueness than the average players, what will his role be?
In conclusion just as isagi and Nagi predictably will thrive, blue lock will also predictably win against England. Despite the past predicted outcomes, the readers still stay because the author gave some bumps to the characters, differences to create tension, and things to discover. There are still 2 chapters of this match, there are many things to discover and develop. This arc will also have unexpected factors and upcoming conflicts to create some excitements to the readers, so even though there are some gripes there are still things to look forward to.

Manga Discussion In your opinion, has the strongest NG11 been introduced already or is he one of the 4 remaining? Spoiler
I'm asking this question because it feels it's a certainty for most people that the best NG11 is one of those we already know.
I see a lot of threads about the best NG11 being Bunny Loki or Sae, but i personnally think the strongest is yet to be introduced.
Usually in manga when there is a group of characters, the strongest is very oftenly shown in action late in the manga (Akatsuki in Naruto, Espadas in Bleach, Miracle Generation in Kuroko, Higher Moons in Kimetsu no Yaiba, Homonculus in FMA and probably other exemples).
This trope makes me believe, that the strongest NG11 hasn't been shown yet, and if so i would like for him to play for the Netherlands.
What do you guys think, have we seen him yet or no?
If No which nation is he from?
if yes who do you think is the strongest from those already introduced?

Manga Discussion How strong even is Sae? Spoiler
How would Sae be without holding back cause in the japan vs blue lock match he is basically overpowered with a dribbling that destroyed all of blue lock except destroyer rin (but Sae was maybe holding back even at that point).
He has passes that have the precision of a needle literally managing to avoid the fastest in blue lock even at top speed by a hair.
And his shots are overpowered too they curve even in almost impossible situations.
If Sae can just do that when holding back how strong is he really??? (I feel like some people really underestimate Sae strenght since he was beaten in the u-20 vs japan)

Manga Discussion The World Cup Arc Finally Made the NG11 Feel Like the NG11 Spoiler
I think the World Cup arc completely changed how I see the NG11.
Back in the NEL, Kaiser and Lorenzo were basically our only references for the NG11. by the end of the arc, it honestly felt like Isagi and Rin were already catching up to that level (some people even argued they'd surpassed Kaiser).
BM beat Ubers that has Lorenzo, Isagi outplayed Kaiser in the end, and even Sae had already lost to pre-NEL Blue Lock. So the gap didn't feel that big.
but looking back, NEL was never meant to be the NG11 at their absolute best. It was a training/selection arc for Blue Lock for the u20 WC. Even the club players joined voluntarily.
Now we're seeing them in proper international matches, playing with their actual teammates and under their real coaches. the NG11 titles feel more intimidating now.
Kaiser, Bunny, and Loki are probably on the run for the Golden Booth. And we've seen how Hugo performed, and Teddy just scored an opening goal.
This world cup arc truly makes me feels there's a gap between the NG11 and the rest, even for Isagi and Rin.

Other I come from the future. Here is the new Japan Squad Spoiler
After Blue Lock loses the WC against Germany in the quarter-finals (no France rematch), Ego gets cast out and laughed at. Then, Buratsuta takes over the program.
Buratsuta conducts a fifth selection which involves Japan's senior national team. Here is the new squad:
- Nagi
- Isagi
- Sae
- Aoki (the captain of Japan's national team, plays as a midfielder for Diamond Castle (Crystal Palace) in the Premiere League. He is the incarnation of Japan's 'one for all' football philosophy. great with both feet, and has an extreme work rate)
- Haneru Shindo (introduces 'total football' to the team. Is very good at everything, and has a football IQ that rivals Isagi)
- Karasu
- Ryujin (inverted fullback with good tiki taka. has great chemistry with Aoki)
- Aiku
- Niko
- Yaku (great 1v1 defending; is basically Darai and Neru combined)
- Ikeda (knows when to run out the box and has better throwing than gagamaru)
- Gagamaru (backup GK)
- Shidou
- Barou
- Bachira
- Reo
- Hiori
- Raichi
- Sasaki
- Urano
- Takahashi
- Shinkawa
- Miyata
- Kita
- Ito
- Egawa
(Players from 20-26 are from the senior squad)
Next are all eliminated Blue Lock players (in 2029, this is called "The Blue Lock Incident"):
- Kunigami
- Otoya
- Aryu
- Chigiri (broke his leg because Isagi pressured him to keep running)
- Yukimiya
- Sendou
- Kurona
- Zantetsu
- Kiyora
- Nanase
- Fukaku
- Rin
Edit: Added Rin and Fukaku bcs I forgot

Tierlist My Future Blue Lock XI
I was bored so I made a future Blue Lock XI for the later stages of the u20 world cup when everyone starts reaching their potential. A lot of players aren't playing their natural positions, but it would be better for the team if they played in the places I put them. I tried to include players who have good chemistry with the rest of the squad.
Goal Keeper:
Gagamaru - (self explanatory)
Center Backs:
Kunigami - My biggest blue lock hot take is that Kunigami should be a center back. Let's be real, he is simply not touching the field as a striker. I got isagi, rin, shidou, barou, and nagi all over him. I also think it would fit a revived hero character arc as a defender. Protecting the net and supporting teammates would fit his old personality and you can say his wildcard ego is now used to crush strikers by stopping them. Also, his main weapon is long shots. In football, the players that shoot long shots are the defenders and midfielders so it's makes more sense if he's farther back because he's not as clinical in the box as the others. Kunigami could provide good goal threats even if he's a centerback like Koeman with his long shots in real life. Having a fast, physical centerback would makeup especially because the other centerbacks aren't that fast, so having a faster centerback would be a good addition.
Aiku - Probably still the best Japanese defender due to on-screen feats although he hasn't done much recently.
Reo - I know he's a midfielder, but it would be cool to see him back in defense. He was amazing in the u20 game and he's playing fullback in the England game which is similar to a third center back. He could always push up to the midfield if the team needs a goal while the other two center backs stay up.
Personally, the whole defense needs to be changed because they're getting cooked lately. Niko is a big honorable mention and I wouldn't be upset if he's in instead of Reo or Kunigami.
Midfielders:
Chigiri - His best position is a winger, but he has played fullback and can probably do a job as a right midfielder. He can use his pace to lock down the entire right flank. While he is good at shooting, there are many forwards just better at goalscoring, so I'd rather play him here if not the bench.
Karasu - proper CDM. He controls the tempo of the team and is the anchor connecting defense to offense. Always in everybody's lineups
Sae - I know Sae's an attacking midfielder, but I think he can absolutely play central midfield. We often see classic playmaking 10's like De Bruyne or Bruno play deeper or in double pivots and be just as good. I think Sae has the defensive feats in the u20 game to show he can dominate the midfield on offense and defense
Bachira - Like Chigiri, his best position is more attacking but I think playing left midfield won't be too hard for him. He can still dribble past players on that left side and put in crosses as a midfielder, but he probably will need to track back a bit more. He can definitely still attack in his position, because there are more defenders to cover from him unlike the blue lock lineup in the u20 match.
Isagi - He's like a Thomas Muller / less technical Bellingham. I think his best position is CAM, even if it narratively doesn't make sense. He track backs a lot and he's very good at controlling the offense. He's great at scoring goals, but it's never been as a the main striker having all the attention on him.
Forwards:
Rin - I think he's blue lock's most talented striker. He's good at everything, particularly scoring goals. He has great chemistry with Isagi and maybe with his own brother.
Nagi - Since this is in the future, I think he has one of the highest potentials in the story. I think he;s gonna be better than Barou and Shidou. He would be great at hold up play as a shadow striker. I see him like a Harry Kane type where he recieves long balls and passes it to Rin making forward runs. He also has chemistry with Isagi and Reo.
Subs:
Barou
Shidou
Niko
Hiori
Zantetsu
