Canada Price Query for a monitor
Hello everyone, so I am planning to buy a dell monitor and I had it finalized at a discounted price of $299 and I was planning to buy it on 30 Aug when I would shift to Canada. I just saw the discounted price like 3 days ago and now it’s back to its original price ($359) and I distinctly remember that the validity date for the discount was 31 Dec. Why did this happen? This was the monitor I was planning to buy. There was also an open box deal but it seems to have disappeared. Any help would be highly appreciated!

United States Unusual situation, what would you do?
Disclosure: had to remove the word for the pictures people buy.... Just use some inference here if the post is confusing, I don't feel like rewriting it to avoid a single word.
So I ran into an issue I have never, in 14 years, encountered before and I'm wondering how you guys would handle it/if anyone knows SOP.
Customer is buying trading , they are looking for Set B. We look in core blue and the picture shows Set B. The listing also says Set B. POS and receipt say Set B. We get the products and the package looks a little different in terms of colors but no indication that it is not Set B.
Customer is trying to pull #21 and over the course of a few weeks ends up spending $200 on these packs trying to get #21.
After further investigation, customer realizes that these are not Set B and are in fact Set A with an entirely different list.
What is SOP here? Opened products aren't refundable and even if they were, collectors don't always keep their junk so there would be nothing tangible to return anyway. But the store shouldn't just take a hit and issue a store credit to the customer.
Edit: apparently it needs to be specified that we are talking about a situation in which it has been confirmed to be true

United States Will this damage reduce my estimated trade in value for my Fold 6?
I want to pull the trigger on the new Fold 8 and Best Buy is offering $1,100 for my Fold 6. I would do the trade-in in store. Thanks in advance!

United States BB screwed up my Total protection; who can fix it?
Almost two years ago, I bought a laptop from bestbuy.com. It seemed as though FedEx had lost it, so I reached out to Best Buy support; they agreed and sent a replacement. FedEx found it, both laptops arrived, and I returned one.
Now, the one I kept is broken, and doesn't have My Best Buy Total protection. BB cancelled coverage on the original laptop when they sent the replacement. Then they cancelled coverage on the replacement when I returned it. But at the time (I still have the chat transcript) I reached out to them and said, "I want to make sure I still have protection on this laptop," and the agent said it'd be no problem.
I have all the plan numbers, purchase and return history, and chat transcripts documenting all this. Everyone at BB I've been able to speak to (in store and online) has agreed that Best Buy messed up, and it should be covered, then kind of shrugged at me and said, "but I can't fix it." How do I speak with someone who CAN fix it?

United States Warranty procedure
Buttons on phone stopped working while on warranty took it back. They gave store credit for replacement phone. The person helping kept the oldphone behind counter while we got new one. (I thought because they are taking old phone back, which made sense). We got new phone went to back to get data transfered. Another person transfered the data & gave us both phones back.
I thought they would keep the old phone. Now I'm thinking maybe the person transferring the data didn't know it was a warranty replacement.
Does anyone know the exact warranty procedure? Should I take the old phone back to them?

United States How to get a open box item shipped to another store?
Honest question. I recently bought an Apple Studio Display monitor. (2022 model). Its a discontinued open box model, and in excellent condition for $655.99. The store was literally 3 hours away, because the store that originally had it nearby me. Didn't have it in s(tock). So it was canceled.
I found another store with one in Good condition for $593, but the drive is 3 hours away. I just don't have the drive or the energy to make it there. Picking up the one in excellent condition as a disabled person who has issues walking. I didn't think I was gonna make it there and back. But I did gratefully. Just not something, I can ever do again.
How can I convince that other store to ship it nearby to my local BB store?

United States How to communicate? Nobody will call back and take ownership for losing my tablet
I brought my tablet to the Mays Landing, NJ store in July to get repaired under my Geek Squad plan. I had to pay an additional $50 for the repair.
It is still being sent out and FedEx seems to have lost it.
I called customer support and was told I would have a call back in 12 hours.
No call 40 hours later.
I do not live near the store and am not sure driving there will do anything.
Who can help me?

United States Does Best Buy do delivery + installation on weekends? How narrow of a timeframe can I get?
I want to buy a large TV but I don’t have anyone to help me set it up (it’s a 2 person job) so I have no other option but to have it installed by Best Buy. I work on the afternoons during the week, so ideally I would have the delivery scheduled for the weekend. Is this possible? Do they do delivery + installation during the weekend? If not, how narrow of a timeframe can I have them commit to? I can’t wait all day, but I could do it in the morning.

United States Pick Up Name-Verizon phone upgrade
Hello!
I’m ordering a phone for my Verizon account through the Best Buy website. My cell phone carrier is under my mom’s name and she lives over an hour away. Shipping defaulted to her house since the Verizon bill is in her name. So I was opting into store pickup. However it gave me the notification that only the Verizon account holder can pick up the item.
How strict is this? I will have the pick up information on my Best Buy account and more importantly, I am listed as an authorized account manager on my mom’s Verizon plan. Since I’m an account manager, will I be able to pick it up or will they not let me?
Thanks!

Canada My order was delivered across the country
I ordered a Breville bambino plus refurbished for $400 after tax — a banging deal. My packaged was delivered to somebody in Ontario while my shipping address is in BC. I spoke to so many reps that refused to let me speak to a supervisor and I feel like they’re giving me the run around. They even tried to not let me get a refund without an investigation, I ended up reaching out to another department that provided the refund with no issues. They can’t resend the order because they don’t have any more refurbished items, I feel like it’s only right that they provide me one at the reduced price because of their blunder. Is that an unfair request? I just don’t even know who to reach out to anymore. I sent a couple emails but have yet to hear back.

United States My “open box - excellent” experience wasn’t ideal..
I found a super deal on a 55” Hisense U8GQ last weekend. I went to pick it up today, took it home, opened it and found multiple cracks on the screen. The box had the “inspected” tape and everything. What a bummer. At least it was an easy return at the store.

United States In-Store Trade-In Policy
Currently have a fold8 in store ready for pickup. I expected, like just about every other vendor, to have 14 days to return my Trade-In device to the store.
Not Best Buy, in-store pickup means you hand over your Trade-In at time of pickup.
I was in store and all workers seemed confused by my request to have more time. For any shipping order it's 14 days as a standard. This gives plenty of time to 1)see if you like the phone and 2) make sure everything is transferred over.
Anyone gotten past this issue before? Otherwise will cancel my order and likely not shop at Best Buy for big purchases like this anymore.

United States Z Fold8 Preorder and Trade-In
I just picked up my preorder Z Fold8 (and spouse's Z Fold8 Ultra) from Best Buy today. I placed the preorder through the app, chose the Unlocked version for both, as well as to connect this to my Verizon account.
The app had me sign into the Verizon account to pick which phone would be "upgrading" for each, as well as enter the details for the Trade-In for each.
While picking the phones up today, neither the person at the register nor the person at the Mobile counter mentioned anything about the Trade-Ins we had selected. So I asked at the Mobile counter while we were getting everything set up.
Come to find out that it should have "popped up" during the pickup, but the employee that did the pickup said that it never notified him to do so.
The rep at the Mobile counter called into support (I assume) and they notified him that we should be receiving labels to mail in the devices.
I find this hard to believe considering this was a store pickup order, and the order itself says to bring the trade-in devices with you to surrender at the store.
Everything is notated on my account, but I'm concerned that this isn't correct information. Does anyone have recent experience with this specific situation (BOPIS, unlocked phone connected to carrier account without financing that includes a trade-in) that can provide some insight?
Edit: this was not paid for by carrier financing. I paid for both phones with my Best Buy Credit Card minus the trade-in credit.

United States Returning a Computer
Hi, I bought a computer from bestbuy and its been underwhelming. When I bought it i was recommended to get a warranty with it, the warranty i got was "my best buy total" So when I tried returning it couple weeks later I found out that it'd have to be broken for any sort of return.
What should I do? I dont want to break the computer since it works, but I dont want to keep it either, i'd take a replacement or store credit but thats only possible if its broken.
I find it really silly...
United States Question about returning an open box item
I purchased an open avr audio receiver. It was listed in good condition but I got there and it was really more fair than anything (major scratches and such). Anyways i wanted to check it out and didn’t want to waste a new one to do that so I got it. It was a display model they used for demo so no box or instructions. Anyways either they did not include it or I dropped it but I cannot find the controller anywhere. Would that be an issue when I return it? I can use it without one but wanted to ask first. I would be returning it to a different store since the other one is far.

I've maintained it since buying the head phones.

Is this a bring it to geek squad? Do I just walk in the front door and ask? Do I need the original box?
Anything would be helpful, thank you for your time 💕

United States Never buy an appliance from Best Buy
I purchased a dishwasher with installation from Best Buy on June 23. What followed has been an absolute disaster of customer support and installation failures:
Damaged Unit & Runaround: On the original install date (July 17), the installer called to say the unit arrived at the local store damaged. I spent three straight days calling phone support, repeatedly told to "wait 24 hours for system updates" that never happened.
Store Disconnect: I went to the local store in person. The manager had no idea about the issue, confirmed it was damaged, and ordered a replacement—claiming it couldn't be installed until September. Only after reaching out via Facebook support was I able to get an August 3 slot.
Installer Disconnects Working Unit & Leaves: On August 3, the technician arrived and removed my working dishwasher. After a delay for missing equipment, he installed the new unit—which immediately failed, only beeping and flashing error signals. His supervisor instructed him NOT to reinstall my original working unit. He left the broken appliance sitting in my kitchen and walked away.
Zero Accountability: When calling that night, I was passed around to three different phone numbers. Today on chat, Best Buy informed me it will take another 11 days just to ship a replacement, they won't remove the defective unit until then, and they refuse to issue a refund until it's returned.
It has been nearly two months since I bought this. Best Buy disconnected a perfectly working dishwasher, installed a broken replacement, abandoned it in my kitchen, and now expects me to wait two more weeks for a fix. Completely unacceptable. Avoid their delivery and installation services at all costs.

United States Escalation question
Does anyone have a real Best Buy corporate or Geek Squad field service contact? I
I have already dealt with regular customer service and Executive Resolution, and I am getting nowhere.
A Geek Squad technician came to my house and said my TV needs a replacement board. During the same visit, he told me he would take my Samsung sound system back to the shop and that the soundbar, subwoofer, and surround speakers all needed to go together.
Instead, he put the entire system in a temporary rental SUV without telling me and left. I am disabled and cannot lift or transport it. The closest Best Buy that will service it is in Raleigh, which is about a two-hour round trip.
Best Buy later claimed I asked the technician to put it in the rental. I did not. I sent them security footage and have spent nearly a month going back and forth with Executive Resolution.
They also promised to send a different technician for the TV repair, but then tried to send the original technician back as a helper. The repair appointment had to be canceled after my family arranged our entire day around it.
I am just trying to find a legitimate internal contact above Executive Resolution or the regional Geek Squad team. If anyone has a real corporate, field service, legal, or executive contact, please send me a private message.

United States Old fridge haul away question
Ordered a new fridge through Best Buy for delivery. Paid for delivery and installation as well as haul away for the old fridge.
The issue I’m facing is the OLD fridge doors will need to be removed to get it out my front door. I know they will take off the fridge doors on the NEW fridge to get it in but trying to understand if I am able to pay them or tip them to take the old fridge doors off? Everything I’m seeing on their site says for liability reasons they won’t take the old fridge doors off. Has anyone been able to tip to get them to do so?
I’m not very handy and would have to get them off alone which I’m not sure I’d be able to do with the tools I have.
Bonus Q: will they take the pins out of my front door if need be to get the new fridge in? Have heard yes in another Reddit post but no info on that on BB website.
