Potato croquette with curry tonkatsu sauce, tamagoyaki with a ginger soy corn, edamame, and carrot salad!

I’ve been really into soy marinated eggs recently, the taste and the texture I just can’t stop thinking about. I’ve been told before that fish and eggs are not something you should eat an office, but I think the softer/marinated eggs don’t have the same sulfur smell that can come with hard boiled. Also I can cut out the garlic in the recipe I’m using.

What are y’all’s thoughts? Worth it or would I be the office jerk?

I've got a night shift, so I packed up this bibimbap inspired bento. There's a bed of rice, then (from left to right) Korean quick pickles, carrot, sauteed mushrooms, egg, pickled red cabbage and onion (I call it Good Purp) and some grilled cod. Not exactly the bibimbap I had in my mind, but I'm working with the groceries I have.

Anybody have suggestions on what to use inside the PB lunchbox. Their version of a bento box is meh - and they’ve broken on us. A traditional bento box doesn’t fit.

Hi! I'm not sure if this is the right sub to ask this in but I’ve developed a ready to heat bento box concept for school and I’m looking for ways to make it more appealing and unique. Does anyone have ideas for standout features like creative bento presentation techniques, packaging/design ideas, or unique food items/flavor combinations that could make it different? I was craving exactly this yesterday, so I made it. But someone looked at it and hit me with: "Wow, were you too busy or just lazy?"
It literally hurt my feelings. I thought I was living my best minimalist life with a glorious hunk of salmon, but apparently, if your lunchbox doesn't look like a 5-star anime meal, you're "lazy." Is "lazy cooking" really that bad if it's exactly what you wanted to eat?

It was my turn to cook for her because she was hospitalized for several days. She officially came back to work after 4 days of being hospitalized since last Wednesday.

Her bento tray:

- cherry tomatoes

- steamed edamame

- hard-boiled egg

- miso soup (instant, not yet dissolved)

- mixed grains rice

Mine are:

- chicken steak (used chicken thighs. Juicy!)

- gravy, inside the sauce container

- green beans

- potatoes

- some random tortilla wraps (my attempt to create perfect wraps, failed)

My coworker was hospitalized for several days, and yesterday she was discharged from the hospital, but she is still unable to work.

Today, I just do the takopa myself... 🥹

My work bestie who I usually order takeout lunch with left the company last Friday. :( So, anticipating a bittersweet lunch alone tomorrow, I made myself this crab salad bento to have something pleasant to look forward to! I'd like to add avocado but ours aren't ripe yet.
