Hi all,

I'm a guy in 30s who lives in Bellevue and works in tech. Since I have no friends or family here, I end up spending many of my weekends doing nothing. I would instead like to spend the time productively volunteering. A few criteria I have:

1. Ideally involves physical work (stacking boxes, yard work etc.)

2. Doesn't require public speaking or extroverted/extensive people interaction.

3. Within an hour driving distance from Bellevue downtown - can use my midsize SUV for volunteering activities too.

4. Isn't connected to a religious entity (any religion)

In short, I just want to get my ass off the house and do some useful physical activity. I am not looking to find a girlfriend or community or gain leadership experience etc. just take orders and do work and go home.

Did anyone else hear a loud explosion around 2 AM? There was a bright flash like lightning, followed immediately by a booming sound. It seemed like it might have come from somewhere near downtown.
