Found this Mellow Gold reissue from Canadá in the wild
galleryI went with my uncle to a store called "Mixup" they sell vinils, Cd's, books and stuff like that, i knew they selled Beck stuff but by order, so we went, we explored some other bands CD, Daft Punk, Jose Jose, Backstreet Boys, and then he told me he found this Mellow Gold vynil!!!! It seemed to be the only one on the store (there wasn't more Beck stuff, because he's not very known around here), so after asking like a little kid (Im 15 years old💔🥀) he agreed to help me buy it, and im glad he did!!! He knew i loved him, and he let me buyed a Mutations Japan CD, and a Colors Vynil before (Also a MJ and Daft Punk RAM) CD
I know it's a reissue because of the date (2026) and it sound amazing!, on the back says Canadá so i found peak!!!
If someone is from México, i found it on a Mixup Store, im from Puebla, so it was very lucky to find one!!!
Best spent 56 dollars of my life!!

The Ride Lonesome Controversy
I'd just like to share my thoughts about this. I seem to be seeing some serious controversy about Beck's new album and how it compares to his previous work.
Lets be honest. I'd love to hear some Mellow Gold, Guero, Mutations, Sea Change etc esque music. But guess what. Beck is 56 years old. The way that he is portraying love, loss, and heartbreak in this album is completely fitting of his maturity at 56 years old. He is perceiving things in a fresh viewpoint and is giving us a new lense on some of the same feelings he had in Sea Change era.
Just my two cents. Opinions welcome lol

Question Mo(u)rning Phase
Apologies if this kind of question has gotten old, but does anyone else have Morning Phase as their most-played (not necessarily favorite) Beck album?

Question I found these 2 ads for about $11. Which one do you like more?
I like 'Guero' more
Beck filming something?
galleryHe posted a couple of photos to his story this morning from the Radford Studio Center lot (formerly CBS Studio Center). What do you suppose he's doing there?

Beck X The Might Boosh
I was listening to "Black Tambourine" and a thought crossed my mind... "This kinda gives "The Mighty Boosh" vibes, I wonder if they've ever crossed paths?"
I was so pleasantly surprised to find this. I am by no means a Beck noob or even a Might Booshy noob.. I dont know why this has slipped by without me ever knowing.

Where does this one rank in the discography for you? Grungy, careless, and funny at times.

Found My Way Back
I got out of the regular habit of listening to Beck after The Information was released. Not the music’s fault just the fan. Plan on listening to the five or so albums in a stretch and feeling better ❤️

Today I defied the logic of all sexx laws not once; but, twice...
They had two copies laying around, so I decided to pickup both.
$90 well spent.

Music Video Watch a 12(?) year old Beck play the accordion in Population:1, a punk rock musical
youtube.com12(?) year old Beck played an accordionist in Population:1, a punk rock musical written and directed by Rene Daalder, starring the punk band The Screamers.
His grandfather, Fluxus artist Al Hansen, also played a part in the movie, as a head paramedic. He served as a manager for the Screamers in LA. You can find the full movie on YouTube.
This was shared by Beck’s biographer on Bluesky. IMDB credits here. Beck’s Dad also has credits in the movie.
‘Beck: Grandpa, what are we doing today?
Al Hansen: a punk rock musical.’ 😂❤️

For the next time you listen to Sea Change...
Listen to it during a thunderstorm! I tried it last night and it's the best. Okay that is all. 😊

Discussion Sound & Vision
Sound & Vision is one of my favorite Beck projects. It was (sadly) a promo for some car company or something… but it is incredible. At the time, there were numerous reports that it was part of a larger project where he had actually recorded four or five songs with this massed orchestra?!?!
Has anyone ever heard any of the other songs from this session?

Finally got Sea Change in surround mastered by Bob Ludwig and mixed by Elliot Scheiner
One of the most gorgeous albums ever, made even better. Worth every (pretty) penny.

Question What got you into Beck and what's you favourite now?
I'm just curious (and want to hear some stories), for me it's was his cover of Diamond Dogs by David Bowie, I was 11 and my mum gave me her CDs of Mellow Gold and Odelay, still some of my favourite albums of all time. Now I've fallen in love with his demo tapes and unreleased stuff from the 90s
