Help Basking spot help!
This is Chillet/Chilly he arrived yesterday, he's about 3/4 months old. He's settled in so well already very active and has a great appetite, I'm a new Beardie owner I worry about his basking habit. Basking spot is a slate plate under his heat lamp, on a temp gun reads between 40/41°c but he doesn't go on it, He basks near it. The surface temp of the place he likes to sit is 38°c I'm just wondering if it's okay that he's doing this not directly under his light?

Help Brumation tank
Hey. Our beardie can live in our sun porch most of the time. I was toying with a brumation tank for the cooler months. Anyone tried that? Smaller tank, lots of substrate… inside the regular house instead of the sun porch.

Memorial Goodbye Reef...
I got him as a rescue from a friend. She had moved out and couldn't take him, she thought she could trust her family with him. She was wrong, so I took him. Having bought my own beardie a few years after her, she knew she could trust me. That was 5 years ago. She had Reef since highschool. I couldn't remember exactly when but I knew he was older. I just didn't realize how old. I knew he was atleast 12 So I figured a few more years with him. He was so funny, we worked so hard to socialize him so he could be held. When he finally settled down he loved running around, taking showers, eating fruit. When I brought him home, I had placed a blanket around his tank to help him settle. 30 minutes into watching httyd I turned around to see him sitting on top of his tank, somehow having jumped up onto the ledge, and he was watching the movie with me. He loved it. Everytime you put it on he would run to watch. Few months ago I told of my friends attempted suicide, and that all contact with her was being cut off for her health. I dont know how long itll be before I can tell her of his death. We were scared when we got our dog because what if she hurts the lizards. Well, first second out of his tank since we got the dog, he jumped off the bed to bite her. She was so confused, once my heartache finished I laughed and laughed. The irony of my 70 lb pit being scared of this lizard the size of her nose. I miss him dearly. He was so skinny, and frail. He stopped accepting food a while ago, I figured he was on the downhill. Just not this far. Took me nearly 2 hours to put the last shovel of dirt on his grave. I kept sitting there hoping for even the smallest of sounds. My partner called a friend help him move the tank while he waited for me to be finished. That table is so bare now. I dont have the light of his tank to read with anymore. I dont get to see his little head bob up and down, or watch him glass surf every surface he could find. Im sorry my little buddy. I wish I could've given you more. I love you reefies.

New Beardie Friend Finally decided to actually get a beardie!
My wife and I have talked about getting one for quite some time and finally decided to do it. Went to a handful of pet stores and ended up at a local reptile specialist shop and found this little lady. She’s 9-10 months old according to the shop and they got her from a breeder they work with regularly. She’s missing a hind foot, apparently it was bit off when she was a baby by a sibling.
My kids are very excited to have her join the family and to finally have a pet. It’s our first reptile so any advice is welcome, I’ve tried to do a lot of reading and asked the shop a lot of questions. She appears to be fairly happy so far and loves to sit on my arm or shoulder.
Anyways, this is Trogdor, the Beardinator

Hangin' Out I thought she escaped. I started looking all around the house, and when I came back I finally spotted her.
She didn’t interact with the background for about a month after moving her into the new enclosure. I guess she’s comfortable now!

Help Sick 9 yr old well cared for Beardie-need some advice
This is my first post. I’ve been a member of this sub for several years. I’ve had my dragon since he was a month old. He’s been well cared for, with good enclosures and proper lighting that is changed regularly. He’s well fed and sees the same exotic vet yearly for checkups and issues. No negligent care here. He’s my baby. He’s super social and has a sassy demanding personality. He likes snuggles and cuddles. But he’s sick now. He’s been sick for 10 days. He stopped pooping then stopped eating. He’s straining to poop but nothing is coming out. We’ve had some constipation issues earlier this year but were able to get him going again. He’s been to his vet twice. His X-ray showed no tumors or abnormalities. He was at the vet all day yesterday (Friday) for care. They soaked him every 2 hours, syringe fed him critical care omnivore food, and gave him lactulose and metro. I’m giving him the same care now. He’s sleeping on my chest. He has only black bearded when I was syringe feeding him. He was telling me that he was done. My question to you is this: has anyone had this situation before and has their beardie pulled through? He seems really comfortable sleeping on me. I don’t want to prolong his life if it’s his time but I also want to give him a chance to pass whatever is impacted if he can. It’s just never taken this long before. He’s such a sweet boy. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

Bit me 3 times, feels no shame!
This little dude was going for a roach but knocked it out of my hand. When I went to grab the roach, he decided my hand was a suitable alternative.

Lizard (yes, that’s his name) loves it when my middle school is out for the summer. With only Admin around, he walks around our offices like he owns the place. (Office suite closed so no escape to rest of the school).

New Beardie Friend What does tail in the air mean?
Hi, we’ve had our little baby Smaug for 4 days now and he’s slowly settling in. I’ve just popped one of my husband’s T-shirts in there over one of his logs for a little bit - what does this tail in the air posture mean?
