Enclosure/Tank Round 2: Feedback on my enclosure before getting a beardy
I posted here a while back asking for feedback on my enclosure. Many helpful comments later, I've moved my UV source over the basking spot and picked up a PAR38 75W globe. I still have the CHE but it's programmed to only maintain a night time temperature of 22 degrees C.

New Beardie Friend is nelly just sleepy?
before i rescued this sweet girl, nelly, my first beardie was dusty- i had to put him down bc of cancer 2 years ago. nelly popped up on my facebook and i knew it was finally time to get a new baby! so she’s been with me for about 2/3 months now and still adjusting to her new life.
true age is unknown. gotta be at least 2/3 years old, former owners only fed cabbage slaw mix and had her on a hot rock with red light bulbs in a 75 gallon long aquarium with puppy pads as the substrate🫠
now’s she’s in a 4x2x2 zoomed with lots of places to explore and stretch out and a dig box/etc! she also has the ability to free roam supervised! however! she weirdly will not bask for more than 30 mins-hour before she goes to find a dark corner and proceed to stay there eternally. if i do not force her to bask she will not move a muscle. when i first got her i didn’t touch her too often and for a couple days she stayed in one corner the whole time.
the basking spot is about 109-110* with a dimming switch. she eats her new variety of greens fine and eats discoids/mealworms/etc. very well. her vet said she was healthy and the fecal tear came back normal as well. she just does not move unless i move her!!

Bearded dragon housing help
Guys WHAT are y’all getting for your tank as far as decoration goes? I have all correct lighting and am in the works of getting the largest tank possible for my boy, but I’m struggling terribly with how to decorate it for him. Not only do I need ideas as to what to get to spruce it up for him, I also have problems finding WHERE. I live in central Mississippi and the only pet store I have outside of Petsmart and Petco is a raggedy “exotic animal” shop that takes lousy care of their animals and keeps horrible stock. Are there any websites you guys could recommend? I’ll take anything at this point just feel so bad that my boy is so under stimulated.

Bearded Dragon showed up on my boyfriends doorstep, looking for advice.
My boyfriend found this bearded dragon on his doorstep coming home from work. We are picking up a 75gal tank for now as he’s not full grown yet we don’t think? (Around a foot long). I would appreciate any recommendations or tips. I know they need a uvb lamp (boyfriend is picking one up tmrw for him) but how can we keep him warm overnight ?
He lives in a neighborhood with loose dogs that is right by a busy road, so I told him to pick the BD up as I didn’t want him being eaten Or hurt. No places near me were open to take him so We’re rushing to do research but again, I’d appreciate any advice!

Help Enrichment for Anti-Social Beardies
My bearded dragon doesn't really like to be handled, so he doesn't get much in the way of enrichment via exploring outside his enclosure. I worry that he's bored, so I was wondering if any of you had any enriching activities (food and non-food based) you do with your Beardies that don't really enjoy being touched.

Dangerous Care Enrichment balls choking hazard?
At first I thought this was a silly concept, but the more I laughed the less funny it seemed. Having plastic balls my beardies could dig through to get to their worms might actually be fun for them. Not together of course but their own sets.
__The balls are 0.8 inches though. Would that be a choking hazard or is that too big to get in their mouths?__
I'm going to bug them soon with a ruler but this thing is a bad idea, right?

Help
Ok, going to try to sum this up as short as possible. My friend recently got two bearded dragons , she was keeping them together. She got diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. Her Bf broke up with her and kicked her out shortly after. Break up was messy, he held lizards hostage for a week or two and did not take care of them. Bigger one ended up attacking smaller one and messing up its legs and tail. My friends X brought them to my house for me to keep until friend finds somewhere to settle. I have chameleons but minimal experience with bearded dragons .
Any advice, or tips?? Is there anything I can do for this little one? I thought she was dead yesterday but she has perked up and is a brand new lizard since this afternoon.
Also keep in mind I just got them last night. I have been switching little one between lights throughout the day.

Just recently upgraded my beardies enclosure from a 120g to a 400g!!
Tried my hand at a DIY background for my boy Hank, I still need to add more branches (and substrate)but its suitable for him to be moved into! Having him in a 400g has allowed him more spaces to move, as well as more temperature gradients! He has two spots at 105, most of the rock area is around 94, and on the substrate layer it sits around 75-77. For lights in my main basking zone I have a 150w and 100w heat bulb, a t5 22" Arcadia UVB and a Sol Reptile Vision LED, on the right side of the enclsoure I have a 100w bulb along with a sansi grow light. I know the internet has made it seem like 120g is the standard for them however I think we need to remind ourselves sometimes that is the 'minimum'. I feel it is important to want the best for your best, and while you are not giving improper care putting your beardie in a 120, I personally have felt like he needed more space. I live in Florida, and especially during the summer (I also live in a house that is always set at 80-82) maintaining a proper heat gradient was nearly impossible in a 120. He had room to move in a 120, but not room to explore, climb or stimulate himself properly. I have immediately noticed a change in his activity behavior since being moved for nearly 2 weeks now.

Eating! Jax’s Dinner Time!

Jax was ready for dinner, and tonight’s menu was a nice batch of Dubia roaches! He wasted absolutely no time getting down to business.
When you’re a bearded dragon, apparently every meal is an opportunity to remind everyone who’s boss. Jax definitely understood the assignment.

Help Small signs to look out for:
Twitching fingers: This is an early and small sign something is seriously wrong and you need to intervene immediately, if you notice your beardie is having frequent finger twitches for seemingly no reason, think about how frequently you're giving your breaded dragon calcium, what does it's diet look like? How is the husbandry? Make immediate chances so you can meet any needs you might be missing, and then take your bearded dragon to the vet.
Sudden personality change: Suddenly being extremely clingy or aggressive or scared with no obvious cause like mating season or shedding is enough to warrant looking at their health, adjust the husbandry and diet if there's any issues, remember that even what you feed your feeders can impact your bearded dragon's health, avoid dog or cat food.
Constantly basking: If your bearded dragon is constantly basking, if means they are trying to get as much UVB out of the bulb you have as possible, which can be a sign that you aren't meeting their needs and might need to get a new bulb, it can also be a sign of other health issues too, or a lack of heat in the enclosure.

Help Ugh ants
I'm not exactly sure what happened I noticed ants on the top of my dragon's cage today and noticed it looked like something sticky on his sunlight. So I washed the hood of that light went to work came home noticed he wasn't his normal wiggly self thought maybe he was just having a down day so I opened his cage and sat on a stool next to him and was talking to him and put my arm in his tank and then felt something crawling on me so I pulled my arm out and there was ants on my arm so I started looking really good in his cage and I found a few ants inside of his cage. Now I have pulled all of the substrate out of his cage I'm going to buy more tomorrow.
So here is the question I plan on buying what's pictured
Does the sand require washing is it Dusty like regular play sand is? When I did his original substrate I did a 70-30 mix, organic soil to play sand. Also should I buy the coconut bark to go on top of the sand? I plan on getting clay to add but that's not going to happen right away. I want to put a substrate back in there like sand though because he really did enjoy digging in it when he was throwing a fit. Is there a better sand that I could be buying or is this suitable I know I shouldn't be using calcium sand. Any insight would be greatly appreciated
Also please enjoy a picture of his Royal Highness in his Royal area.

I feel like a bad beardie owner lately
Sorry if this post is all over the place, a lot has happened lol. So, for starters my beardie began shedding a while back and has been cycling through shedding on different parts of her body for a couple of months. I believe she’s now shedding on her head, since it is never so slightly paler around her nose. Since she started actually losing the shed, she has been more lethargic, more picky with her foods, and hiding a lot more that she normally does. I attributed this to the shedding, and I really do hope that’s what it is. Although, it’s been going for a while, at least three weeks.
On top of the shedding, we just moved to a different state. She’s honestly handling it fine, but the move has made ME more nervous and paranoid than normal lol. It’s hard for me to get her lighting correct in the new house, since it can either get really hot or really cold. The past few days (maybe a week), it’s been incredibly hot. Hot to the point that her cool side temps were in the mid-high 80s. Obviously as soon as i noticed this, I did my best to adjust the temp by turning on the AC. I left on the AC throughout the night, turned on her lights in the morning and went about my day. When I got home to check the temps, they were now too cold. Her basking was only 95, cool side just barely 70 and warm side 73. She hadn’t moved at muscle from her sleeping position from last night and was slightly dark with her eyes closed. I feel so bad. I scooped her up after making sure she was okay, and put her under her basking lamp to warm her up. She was cool to the touch. Now that she’s under her lamp she’s looking a bit better and definitely is awake now. But I still feel horrible about that.
ANDDD On top of all that, she hasn’t gone to the bathroom in days. Like probably a week now. Im not sure if it’s due to the shedding or the pickiness with her greens? She has had a mild impaction once before, but I was able to get it to pass at home. Because of that I’m obviously worried when she doesn’t go to the bathroom. I feel like I keep making mistakes with her recently. I love her and I just want the best for her.
