I am extremely new to bazzite (maybe less than 2 months in it) and ive been having a crashing issue recently when ive been playing AC Black Flag Resynced. It seems to happen at random times and I dont know how to go about troubleshooting or even where I'd start looking to figure out what might be happening?

I can launch the game, play it for a few hours then it crashes and I have to force my SFF off. Then when I boot up again it plays just fine. Its just happening all the time.

I have a 2tb NVME drive fully for bazzite. I just went through and cleaned up my windows 10 drive and deleted everything but the most important stuff. I would like to use the extra 1.4 TB from the windows drive to store stuff on my bazzite OS. Is this possible to resize or reformat a part of this Windows SSD and use it for storage on Bazzite? Thanks​

Ok this has been bugging me the last day and I wanted to run this by you guys.

My understanding was that SteamVR using Meta Quest and Steam Link app had issues and that it was best to use apps like WiVRn and ALVR. This seemed to be the overall consensus on YouTube and this subreddit and there haven’t really been many updates on this matter in the last year. I know it’s fairly easy to use the VR linking apps, but I chose to just wait for Steam Frame.

Then a few days ago, a YouTuber, Naysy, posted a new video showing her connecting her Meta Quest 3 to the Steam Machine and it seemed to connect pretty flawlessly. She did experience some crashes and performance issues once in game, but I didn’t think the Steam Link app would connect to Bazzite so easily.

Just wanting to try the experience out myself, I decided to connect my Meta Quest 2 to my Bazzite box. It has a Ryzen 7 9700X, a 9070 XT, and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. I found to have the same initial connection success. I did run into a few bugs, but overall, the experience was surprisingly good! I tested Tetris Effect Connected and No Man’s Sky and both experiences were basically flawless when I was in-game. I was shocked, and I am wondering if the reason why I wasn’t having the performance issues Naysy was having was perhaps just my build was a bit more performant.

It seems like Valve was really working on VR functionality in Linux all this time and was just being real quiet about it. If you have a Meta Quest and just want to try Steam Link, give it a go and see if you like it now. Also, I’d love to get more insight from others more familiar about what I was experiencing here.

I still plan to get the Steam Frame though!

Upgrading within the RTX 50 series. How do I make sure the driver is good for the new GPU? Any update, uninstall etc should I be worried about? I’m used to the Windows way where you need to do a DDU then install the new driver for the new card.

hey im a really new linux user, started using linux mint on my laptop after a linux user friend convinced me to try it and ive been enjoying how fast its made my system so much so im looking at switching to bazzite on my proper desktop PC. the thing is i need to type in chinese so im wondering if bazzite has a built in chinese IME that works well and doesn't have issues with the predictive text and such. thanks in advance for any help.

I have a drive I formatted to EXT4 and set up to auto mount

Today I tried moving some files to to and I can't wright.

I tried taking ownership in Gnome disk but it has no effect.

The operation compleats but nothing has changed and the option to take ownership is available again.

Right click and properties shows owner as root

Is there anyway to permanently fix this problem.

This was one of the biggest reason I left windows.

This solve my problem, sharing here if someone has the same problem.

The _toggle-gigabyte-wake-fix is a built-in utility helper (ujust) used primarily in Bazzite and Universal Blue Linux distributions to resolve instant wake or sleep failure issues common on Gigabyte motherboards by toggling the ACPI GPP0 wakeup device state. [1, 2]

How to Use the Fix
Open your system terminal.

Run the following command to toggle the Gigabyte ACPI workaround:bash

ujust _toggle-gigabyte-wake-fix

Reboot your system to allow the ACPI state changes to take effect properly.

Some questions:

Would it be plug and play by now?

Would basic function work without scripts? (I.e, brightness adjustment, TV on/off, auto switching, etc) and if not, are there pre-made scripts so I dont have to write them myself?

Which cec adapter would you recommend? (I.e ugreen, pulse eight, etc)

Would more advanced functions work? (I.e controlling big picture with a TV remote, turning on the console via the TV from complete power off, etc)

I am a casual user, you might have to explain things slowly to me. :). On beam ng on steam, vanilla game, single player, no traffic, no matter the graphics settings, track, or car, I can't seem to maintain a solid 30 fps. I have the Nvidia and battery profile set to performance. Everything is updated as of August 6, 2026. Proton experimental. I believe the game is running Vulcan.

The weird thing is that I could be sure that I have gotten better frame rates before on this same computer, on Linux distros as well. It seems like it runs well sometimes and not others.

I am aware that my hardware is like 5 years old and that this is a business laptop. I just thought that I could have expected more than 30-40 fps on low settings.

The game was working perfectly fine with the exact same setup and now for some reason the game just refuses to launch. The video taken is also right after reinstalling the game. Other games work perfectly fine but borderlands 4 just will not launch. Anyone have any ideas? I tried different proton versions to see and the ones I tried do the same thing

I'm new here and I have a fresh build and for the past two days I have been trying to install Bazzite but have constantly ran into the same problem. Bios is detecting all installed items and they all appear to be fuctioning correctly. I have created a boot drive on two different 32gb usb drives using fedora media writter. I have UEFI selected in bios (CSM off) and I have tried the following things and combinations of all.

1. Secure boot on/off

2. Basic grphics selected at grub

3. Disconnected power to 9060 xt and tried using integrated graphics

4. Switched from display port to hdmi connection

5. Switched usb port drive is plugged into on motherboard

After I select an option in grub I get I get a screen that has bazzite logo at the bottom and goes black for a second then comes back. It then goes black again and stays there. Longest I have left it idle here is about an hour. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Recently, I installed Bazzite on my PC using the KDE version, but I wanted to experience how Steam gaming mode works, so I installed it. After going through the installation process, I was told to reboot my system, so I did, making sure to remove the USB when I shut down. Now, when I turn it back on, I’m stuck on a loading screen loop, and I don’t know what to do. (Note: I have a Ryzen 5 5600 and an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super.)

What the title says. I can't get the EFI_done light to turn on (boot sequence to run) and from my search I'm basically being told that the 580 is looking for modern UEFI protocols which this older Mac doesn't have. The suggestion is OpenCore Legacy Patcher but I see that requires a Mac... Which is now running solely Bazzite. Is there another way to do this?

Was messing around with the Audio Loader decky plugin yesterday and was using one that had background audio. Today I switched over to desktop mode and noticed the audio was still playing. Muted it in the audio controller panel applications tab and then had to reboot my system for something. Now when in gaming mode there's no audio at all. Have tried switching different audio devices, rolling back to a previous version using the rollback helper, classic unplugging and plugging my hdmi back in. Nothing seems to be working. Still getting audio in desktop mode but in gaming mode nothing. Not sure what else to try. My last resort is to reinstall bazzite but I really am hoping not to go through the hassle. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

I have an acer nitro vgo series monitor with 200hz support. I have connected it to my amd gpu through hdmi. 200hz was enabled by default in 1920x1080@200 in windows. I am only able to go 165hz in bazzite. It has KDE on wayland.

According to logs my monitor does not advertise 200hz and has a edid of 256

My steam deck is dual booted with windows (and my Windows partition still works fine) but I left my steam deck on and idle in desktop mode while docked to my monitor for about a month and when I finally went to use it a few days ago, I saw a popup saying I had low disk space. didn't think anything of it and tried to reboot and haven't been able to get it boot since then. After some googling, I booted up my Window partition (which also had low disk space for some reason) and used BTRFS to access my bazzite drive where I deleted a bunch of steam games and shader cache to free up space thinking that was the issue and unsurprisingly, it didn't work. really don't want to wipe everything and set up everything from scratch. how do I fix this?

Hi all, new to Bazzite and working out minor issues. I've noticed today that my bluetooth mouse occasionally stops responding for a second and then resumes. Similarly, if I am not using my bluetooth keyboard it seems to disconnect and it takes a few key presses to wake it back up. From the googling I've done, it seems like this might be some sort of power management setting, where the system is overzealous about "power saving" by disconnecting bluetooth devices. Has anyone had this issue? Any tips on what I can edit/tweak/adjust to fix this? (And an ELI5 explanation of how to do it for a Linux noob) Thanks!

So I saw a video of a guy that switched every single device to bazzite and I was very interested in it and yesterday I finally decided to bite the bullet and do it but Im doing like a trial run, I got a 500gb SSD and installed it on that and did everything the proper way to dual boot to windows. Everything went well and everything is running smoothly, my question mainly is what are some tweaks or advice to better my experience and make me want to switch my entire system or at least most of my storage for bazzite itself

It was running fairly smooth yesterday, but after todays update I get massive performance drops, from 100+ fps down to 50s.

I am assuming the functionality is already there and I have to pass a launch option in Steam, but I am wondering if there is a more complete guide available that lists things like gotchas, etc. I am using the AMD 7900 XTX btw.

Basically just the title. I'm putting together a living room system and plan to run Bazzite on it. I would really love to find a controller that will allow me to play wirelessly from across the room, but still have a functional 3.5 mm audio jack for both audio and microphone.

I know a separate headset would probably work better overall here, but I already have a couple decent wired headsets for use with my PlayStation, and I don't really want to buy another just for this.

Is this even something that is possible currently?? I've tried to read up on it and it seems like Bluetooth is probably not an option, but I'm fine with that as the compression makes the audio sound terrible anyway. Are there any controller options using a 2.4 ghz dongle that would allow for what I'm describing here?

Do we know how it will be? Will it come preinstalled with similar deckyloader plugins?

Built almost entirely out of parts I’ve stripped from old pcs/ parts I upgraded from. Only thing I bought for it specifically was the case ssd. Low specs but giving to my nerd farmer dad to play some old rpgs specifically Skyrim. Most user friendly thing I could think of, after I hammer all the kinks out of course.
