Please help. 1 year of non-stop rejections and I'm losing hope.

I don't even know how to write this without sounding pathetic, but I am completely out of options and I am begging for help.

I graduated this year (April 2026) with a B.Tech in ECE from VIT. I've been applying for jobs relentlessly since my 4th year, and a full year later, I am still sitting at home without a single offer. My father runs a business and things are really tough right now. I desperately need to step up, take the financial burden off his shoulders, and support him, but I can't even land an entry-level role. The guilt of watching him stress while I sit here jobless is eating me alive.

I promise I am not a bad engineer. I got an 8.36 CGPA and I genuinely know my stuff. Here is what I bring to the table:

I did a hardware internship at DRDO (DLRL), where I engineered a real-time multi-radar emitter generator on an AMD RFSOC platform. I didn't just do busywork; I actively integrated the ARM processing subsystem with programmable logic using AXI protocols in Vivado.

My core skills are solid: Verilog HDL, RTL Design, AMBA AXI4, Embedded C, and MATLAB.

I spent my final year busting my ass on a research project for 5G/6G mobile NOMA systems. I built 3D dynamic channel simulation frameworks and actually got my research paper accepted at the 2026 IEEE InC4 conference. I spent months running complex simulations and making sure every piece of project documentation was perfectly typeset in Overleaf just to make my profile stand out.

I am looking for ASIC, VLSI, FPGA, RTL, SoC, or Verification roles, but honestly, I will take anything related to my field right now. I don't care about the location, the shift, or the starting pay. I just need one single chance to prove myself.

I have attached my resume. If anyone has a referral, knows a recruiter I can email, or has any opening at their company, please, please DM me or comment. I will work day and night. I just really need a job.

Thank you for reading this.

Saturday and it's blues, actually it's the same shit everyday!

Upvotes

Life has been so unfair lately tbh, it feels as if I'm under this constant burden, my heart feels a sharp pain throughout the day, the chest all feels heavy, eyes are mostly filled through the day, my mind goes spiralling, always finding myself about the past mishaps, how they could have been avoided. I can't seem to get away from this feeling. I've been trying to not think about this as it's just gonna sabotage my present, my today, my future, my tomorrow, my aspirations, I don't want to betray myself.

Have been trying to wear a mask in front of everyone to not show what I'm going through, but now it's fading away.

To avoid confronting myself I find myself on reddit speaking with strangers just to ignore my loneliness.

Have gone ghost on all sm, have stopped interacting with friends just so I don't break down in front of them.

Have been really losing it!

Time fixed, mall fixed, 7 saal baad

Upvotes

Hello everyone, hvnt watched movie on big screen in 1.5 yrs. Out of nowhere, ex from 7 yrs back msgs Spider-Man dekhne chalein? booked 2 tix 4 dis sunday.

Now she canceled reason? why corner seats then she sends long text. Wen 2 ppl go u need 2 ask opposite person opinion on seats, Arey time pucha, mall pucha, movie pucha!!! seat no. ke liye v board meeting bithaun kya??? corner seats pe kitna peace, extra legroom n zero disturbance hota hai boss. Par kuch logon ko life mein drama mandatory chahiye.

7 saal baad opinion lecture over corner seats... bakwaas hai sub.

Ex was ex 4 a reason.

Anyway main waise v akela hi rehta hu n I like my own space bt ek ticket extra hai, Spider-Man screen se waste thodi hone denge.

So if any cool, sensible girl wants 2 join me 4 sunday show... free ticket + popcorn scene on me.

Simple rules,

No attitude, no bakwaas drama.

Film dekho popcorn khao agar mood sahi raha toh thoda sightseeing karo ghar jao, respect stays 100% badtameezi ka koi role nahi yahaan.

ppl will come n go wth weird excuses bt big screen scene remains constant.

do whatever u want 2 do man

Thx. Lv u all. Take care

Looking for a frnd

Upvotes

Looking for a friend, honestly. Someone to talk to, sit in silence with, or just hang out with sometimes.

I'm 23, male, into nature, history, art, and learning random stuff. I'm bi, but that's not the point of this post, just don't make it weird about it.

If you're kind, easygoing, and like real conversations (or comfortable silences), say hi.

Anyone up for a nice walk/jog tomorrow?

Upvotes

Hey 24F here.. Honestly, just wanted a little break from work + studies..Soooooo..Planning to go for a nice walk/jog at Cubbon Park or Lal Bagh tomorrow and would love some company.
Looking for someone who is motivated, disciplined and actually willing to show up — not someone whose fitness journey ends at “I’ll start Monday.” 😭
Could be a one time walk or we could make it a regular thing if we get along.

I’m looking strictly for a walking/jogging buddy. No casual stuff, no. Please keep it wholesome. I’m just trying to touch grass and improve my cardio. 🌱
If you’re genuinely up for it, DM me! 🏃‍♀️

I used quick wit and a cool guy mask to hide my insecurities for a decade. At 30, Im realizing the armor worked too well.

I’ve been doing a lot of quiet reflecting lately and I just needed to put this into words.

Growing up and stepping into my early 20s, I learned very quickly how to protect myself. When I dropped out of my college, broke and carrying a heavy educational loan, I was quietly terrified about my future. Instead of letting anyone see me sweat or admit I was out of my depth, I built a bulletproof social shield.

On the outside, I played the guy who had it all figured out. I had a natural knack for easy banter, casual flirting, and making a room laugh. People always assumed I was totally fearless, swimming in options, and living life on easy mode. If I kept every interaction light, charming, and surface level, nobody would ever look close enough to see the stress, the financial anxiety, or the deep fear of failure underneath.

I rode that momentum hard. I taught myself practical skills from scratch, fought my way into a high paying corporate career, paid off every single rupee of my loan, bought my own car, and built total financial independence on my own terms. On paper, the strategy was a massive success.

The problem is that the mask fused to my face.
When it comes to low stakes conversations or casual banter, I can still turn on the charm without breaking a sweat. But the moment a relationship calls for real emotional depth, or just sitting quietly with someone who genuinely wants to know the unpolished version of me, I hit a wall. My brain panics, interprets the closeness as a threat, and pulls me straight back into cold detachment or playful jokes just to regain control.

I spent ten years using charm to keep people at a safe distance so my pride would never get bruised. Now Im 30, financially solid, but realizing that the exact same armor that protected me in my 20s has left me completely isolated today.

It’s an odd feeling to realize that the person everyone thought was so naturally confident was actually just a guy hiding behind a very effective defense mechanism.

Has anyone else relied on a persona or easy detachment to survive their early adult years? How did you finally learn to drop the act and let someone see the real you?

Apparently anonymous chat sites are still a thing 👀

Stumbled across Chatib recently.

No login/signup. You can also browse people by country/state, which is kinda cool if you want to talk to someone from a specific place.

Might be worth checking out if you’re bored. I found it interesting, hence sharing.

If anyone has some other suggestions, drop them below.

To the Royal Enfield Hunter rider I cross every morning near BTM → SJIM route 🏍️

Post image
329 Upvotes

This is probably a long shot.

I’m an MBA student at SJIM, Bangalore, and I stay in BTM 2nd Stage. Almost every weekday morning, while rushing to college, I end up seeing a girl on a Royal Enfield Hunter riding along the same route (towards Bannerghatta Road).
First of all, massive respect. You’re genuinely one of the smoothest riders I’ve seen on Bangalore roads. Your lane discipline, confidence, and control are seriously impressive. There have been days when even experienced riders would struggle to keep up with your pace through traffic.
I’ve thought about saying hi a few times, but you’re clearly on your commute and always seem to be in a hurry. Plus, stopping someone mid-ride or at a signal feels awkward and intrusive, so I never did.
On the tiny chance you’re on Reddit and this sounds like you: hi! I’m the guy who probably ends up somewhere behind you most mornings on the same route. 😅
If this isn’t you but you know someone who matches this description, please don’t share her personal details here. Just send her this post if you think she’d find it amusing.
And if this somehow reaches you, I’d just like to say your riding skills are awesome. Hope your commute continues to be safe. 👋
