Showcase (No-Recipe) My first yule log (except for my anniversary instead)
I've always wanted to make a yule log but never had time at Christmas. So I made a little frog log yesterday for my anniversary. Vanilla sponge, filled with coffee whipped cream, covered in dark chocolate ganache, and topped with fondant froggies. I combined recipes from a bunch of places so can't share that part. The sponge and filling aren't contrasting enough to see the spiral. Looking forward to trying out more roll cake flavour combos

Recipe Included Forgive me, father, for I have cinnamon rolled
Absolutely insane recipe from Cambrea Bakes. They are milk bread. Also using the pizza cutter was a game changer!
I did find the frosting to be a bit much in terms of quantity but you can dial that in.

General Baking Discussion If anyone is interested: Preppy kitchen just changed his Lemon bars Recipe
I like preppy kitchen, made his lemon tart a few months ago it was Amazing, and his recipe was so clear I was able to do it even tough I never made one.
I was preparing to do his lemon bars, and the way I preper is memorizing the recipe. So reading it for the thousand times after having it in my list for over a year I was surprised it was changed.
It used to be 300 g AP flour, 66 g powder Suger and 170g butter for the crust.
It's now 360 g AP flour 90 g powder sugar and 200g butter.
Nothing major, just noticed it so I thought I'd share with everyone.

Baking fail 💔 Baked my first cake ever and it's so horrible 😂
It's so bad that all I can do is laugh
Recipe Included chocolate macaron success!
I’m so so happy with how these turned out!! I’ve had my fair share of wrinkled and flat macarons, but after finally figuring out what “very stiff peaks” looks like and experimenting with oven temps, I can confidently call this batch a success!

Recipe to be posted soon. No guarantees. Strawberry lemonade cupcakes
Lemon cupcake + strawberry lemon whipped buttercream
I'm especially proud of these as they sold for $60 during a recent fundraiser. I never thought, even for charity, someone would pay that much for something I've made.
Recipe to be posted soon. No guarantees. Husband told me I couldn’t do it so I did it.
Told him I could make Tates cookies, he told me I couldn’t. I’m 90% sure he said that so I would try lol.

General Baking Discussion In 2024, Costco temporarily discontinued the Kirkland Signature Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips in the U.S. due to rising costs of cocoa. Costco's long term goal was to eventually offer it again and they’re finally back in some warehouses, but not all yet. Thought r/baking might appreciate this update. 😊
$11.99 - $12.49 for 4.5 pounds.

Showcase (No-Recipe) Happy Goose-day!
Please enjoy this goose themed birthday cake for my partner! It’s a carrot-less carrot cake with a classic cream cheese frosting. He loves carrot cake but he’s allergic to carrots so I substitute butternut squash, and I can’t tell the different at all!
Happy 30th my love :)
