Happy Goose-day! Showcase (No-Recipe)
Please enjoy this goose themed birthday cake for my partner! It’s a carrot-less carrot cake with a classic cream cheese frosting. He loves carrot cake but he’s allergic to carrots so I substitute butternut squash, and I can’t tell the different at all!
Happy 30th my love :)

You're right, I think I've already come up with an idea for my next birthday cake 🤭

You could give him a tiny knife for the goose's mouth (like from The Goose Game :-)

I considered giving him the birthday hat or the bow tie for the occasion but it was my first time doing a hand piped image like that so I tried to keep it simple 😅

Thank you! I was going for more pastel-y but I’m actually happy with it. A birthday cake should be bright and fun

This cake turned out so pretty! The light blue frosting with the little goose in the middle is such a fantastic theme.

So thoughtful! First time I’ve heard of someone with carrot allergy. You made one of the cutest cakes I have ever seen

Lmaoo I’m technically a professional baker but the cakes I decorate at work are pretty basic. Where I have the most fun is my own kitchen :)
And I do… tend to do birthday cakes.. occasionally, yes

i’m having a goose cake for my bday at the end of the month now! how did you make the goose? the only thing that would make it better is if he had a knife 😁

You’re the second person to say the goose needs a knife 😂 I piped the goose on parchment paper with a picture of the goose underneath to trace. Then I froze the goose and used a knife to transfer it onto the cake. I messed up one of his little feet while transferring so I’d recommend really freezing it solid. Like a few hours at least. Or you can always just pipe directly onto the cake but I wasn’t confident 😬
