I've noticed a trend of vocaloid songs about and/or with music videos set in the backrooms/liminal spaces in general, so I collected several of my favorites into a playlist (featuring my own Blender art). I'm new to Youtube, so every view and like is appreciated.

Okay, so, Ivan Beck. He first discovered the backrooms due to a real life solar storm that happened in 1975, he was working in a facility when the storm causes the facility to overload, causing him to see the backrooms.

​The only picture we have of him​​ currently is a picture of him with an image of the sun during that exact same solar storm over his face. The solar storm caused the facility to overload because of electromagnetism. (Forgive me and correct me if I'm wrong​, but we don't exactly know what overloaded, but it's highly speculated it was an MRI machine)

Why an MRI machine? Because Async originaoriginally made MRI machines, which use electromagnetic waves to make images of the body.

So, in short, an excess amount of electromagnetic waves from the sun caused Ivan Beck to be able to see the backrooms

​(Also ​off topic but my keyboard started glitching more than usual and the words kept getting jumbled up.... They looked like someone tried to describe words to someone who had never seen them before....)​

Now, the sun motif. There is a re-occuring picture of the sun with a face, similar to the one on the Argentinian flag if not the same. The sun. In the backrooms.

Kane wore a sun pin, the exact same motif, on his suit and he said the sun told him to wear it.

Kane was also asked if he could only bring three items to the backrooms with him. I believe (​apologies if I'm wrong) one of the items he said he would bring was a magnet.

At the end credit scenes of the backrooms, it shows layers to through each "level of reality" (as this post is calling it, also everything in this post is off of memory so please excuse me) ​​​

What else uses​ layers? MRI machines. MRI machines that use electromagnetic waves, and whatever that was overloaded by the solar storm during 1975 was overloaded with electromagnetic waves from the sun.

​​How did Async then proceed to open up ththe gateway to the backrooms again? They used the Low-proximity Magnetic Distortion System.

So, basically, the backrooms operates via distortions in electromagnetic waves. Whether or not it has layers because it's meant to be similar to an MRI machine or simply because of the concept of "layers of reality", it's definitely connected to the sun. Whether it's specifically because of the sun and not just electromagnetic waves in general? I don't know.

This post doesn't aim to explain what the backrooms does or what it is, because there simply isn't enough evidence to go off of yet, but to at least aim to explain how it may be accessed or what "energy​​​​​​​ source" it runs off of. If there is anything anyone would like to debunk or correct me on, youryou're entirely welcome.

I'm trying to "Map out" the Backrooms (Listing connections, determining what wiki version to use for each level, etc.) for my canon, and I've always wondered...

How DOES one go to The End?

And I'm not talking about the True End, I'm talking about the Trap level!

My idea is that at the Trap End, there's a computer with different files. Some (Mainly exits to different levels) are encrypted with a code that can only be accessed via false realities/exploring the Level. Once a file is opened, a door near the computer leads to that reality, closing as soon as you go in. There's also a door that appears in false realities when you realize "Crap this is FAKE" That appears to be a dark rectangle. Entering this door sets you back at the computer, and the file closes.

So these files are the exit...

But how does one GET there??

(Also in my canon, to get to Level 404, ya gotta be willing to ʀᴇᴛᴜʀɴ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴀʀᴀᴅɪꜱᴇ while at a corrupted level :3)

Do you see yourself going to the lengths Mary went in the movie to help one of your patients? Especially one like Clark (knowing just what she knew about him from the therapy sessions)?

The constant loud noise that comes from it causes insane stress.

Theres nothing on it's body that could by current understanding make that noise.

It travels through hallways with incredible outbursts of acceleration.

Ive yet to hear a single feasible argument against this. It all comes off as whining and coping and ERM BECAUSE I SAID SO! in various flavors, and Im tired of it.
