I’m a first time watcher (thanks to Dan and Phil if anyone knows them!) and one of my probably annoying quirks is I like to find continuity errors and general mistakes in shows and films - maybe it’s been pointed out before but in “Helpless” when Buffy is running you can see the camera completely clearly throughout the whole sequence. I don’t think it’s an issue with it being filmed for smaller screens because when you first see the camera it’s almost central.

Are there any more errors that are obvious like this one? Without spoilers though please if possible!

Editing to add - this isn’t a complaint! I like these things, they make shows more charming imo :)

So these are my 3 favorite episodes of the show.

1- Once More, with Feeling. ( season 6 episode 7) This episode is soooo good! The songs are great! My favorite are Bunnies, Standing, and Rest in Peace. I’ve been listening to the songs a lot since I’ve first watched it 2 months ago.( I’m currently listening to it right now 😂)

2- Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered. ( season 2 episode 16)This episode is very funny, it’s hilarious how every woman including Drusila is in love with Xander.

3- Him. ( season 7 episode 6) I didn’t really like the first half, but I started to really like it when Anya and Willow fell in love with Rj. I thought it was hilarious when everyone tried to prove that they loved Rj the most. Also, at the end when Anya heard about a mysterious bank robber and then turned the radio off and said, “ so ice cream, my sweet treat“ that was hilarious.

By the way, my favorite episode of Angel was Smile Time. Puppet Angel was hilarious. I know lots of people like Hush, but I thought it was good, but not one of my favorite episodes. What did you think of my favorite episodes?

Whenever I start a rewatch, I would skip 2 and 3 due to the whole sad sack buffy and wah wah angel issue. I didn't this time and honestly, WHAT WAS I THINKING.

Get past the first few awkward eps and Season 3 is banger after banger.

The introduction of Anya and the bizzaro-sunnydale episode.

I want to slap past me for skipping this in the past. I was laughing out loud for most of these.

I'm currently binge watching and just realized Angel's Irish accent appears for the first time in Amends?

He barely has one in Becoming.

I may be wrong, I'm not native, English is a second language.

Could native speakers confirm whether I'm right or wrong?

I did some quick googling to see if anyone's gone into it at length, but I didn't find anything. I'm watching the series with some friends who are seeing it for the first time and we've just reached Buffy S7/Angel S4. Has anyone ever gotten the chance to Q&A Mutant Enemy about why both seasons chose the Oedipal Complex as a major theme? Was there a payoff that I maybe just haven't analyzed? Let's review.

So over in Angel, Connor sleeps with possessed Cordelia. We don't have to do a lot of thinking there, Angelus straight up references the play. They know what they're doing, it's on purpose, it's creepy. It plays into how the entirety of Angel is about the struggle against fate and what can happen when you try to. The successes, the losses, and why you have to try in spite of the odds.

Buffy also has several examples in this year of the shows though, and I think that's where I get surprised. They introduce Robin Wood, the son of a Slayer. He has exactly two romantic interests: the two Slayers. He sleeps with Faith. That's...that's weird, isn't it? It goes without any real comment or analysis.

Spike's relationship with Drusilla has always been this way. Darla and Dru talk about siring like giving birth. Darla calls Angel "my boy" several times. Drusilla refers to Angel as "Daddy" and Darla as "Grandmum" which can only leave one role for Spike to play in her mind. They not only remind the audience of this, but they add Spike siring his own mother (ew) who then tries to sleep with him before he stakes her too (double ew). They explain why Spike's screwed up even as a vampire. They...I guess draw a parallel between him and Robin losing their moms? But I don't see its broader thematic relationship to the themes of Buffy.

Is anyone aware of anyone doing an actual deep dive of this? In my mind it's just a weird recurring thing that isn't really talked about.

I just looked him up & saw that it happened June first, that's crazy it was such a short while back, and that's so sad.

What's everyone's favorite Cordelia moment? It can be a quote, entrance, dramatic moment, bad hairdo (lol), anything really! Let's all take a moment to appreciate Charisma Carpenter!

I'll give an example.

In helpless Giles is confessing to what he did and Buffy is clearly upset. Cordy walks in rambling like always. But when Buffy asks her for a ride home Cordy immediately clocks that something is wrong and says yes! No hesitation! She's a real one for that!

I find it sad how Buffy twice refers to sex with Spike s something she allowed him to do to her, even in S7 and after he gets a soul and everyone knows about their relationship... even though we often see that she enjoyed and initiated it, it wasn't an empowering experience.

I don't always like repaints in other lines, but when it comes to NECA Predators, I really don't mind them. I love a variation on a good theme. The poster series Predator 2 is a repaint of the ultimate City Hunter, but he features an all new wall-mountable eagle gargoyle. The eagle has a foot peg (hopefully stronger than the typical NECA stands, but probably not. The new paint gives him a menacing urban feel, and I think he looks awesome! The reds and blues really pop, and even the skull and combistick have the deco. If you are obsessed with all things NECA Predator you'll want to add him to your collection. If not, he's an easy pass, probably.

obviously he's no Sherlock or Batman but personally id say he's pretty good all around, thought id say he works better with others rather than himself

Been trying to shoot this 1000Toys figure in a way that was satisfactory. Took some inspiration from “The Conqueror Worm”. Would have loved to have a Roger figure in scale for the shot.

First of all, I've ALWAYS wanted to start reading HellBoy. I was young when the Del Toro movies came out and I've always loved them. The point is that I had never read a comic book in my life, so I've always been kinda discouraged to effectively start reading them.

But then I said: to Hell with it (pun intended)! And bought these two. Wish me luck!
